    Publicis Groupe South Asia elevates Lalatendu Das to CEO, Publicis Media South Asia

    Publicis Groupe South Asia announced today that it has elevated Lalatendu Das (LD), the current CEO of Performics India, to the newly created role of CEO of Publicis Media South Asia. Continuing to report to Publicis Groupe South Asia CEO Anupriya Acharya, LD will work closely with Zenith India CEO Jai Lala; Starcom India CEO Rathi Gangappa; PMX India MD Sejal Shah and other media leaders.

    LD joined Publicis Groupe India in early 2022 as CEO of Performics India and in these three years he has further added marquee accounts, incubated innovative products and pivoted Performics India to top place in performance marketing and end-to-end digital solutions. Before joining Publicis Groupe South Asia, LD spent nearly a decade at McKinsey as a Partner and founding member of McKinsey Digital Labs in Asia Pacific. He co-led the McKinsey Digital/Technology practice, focusing on new digital business builds, customer journey transformations, and advanced analytics-led transformations. LD has also held major operational roles at Tata Consultancy Services for over a decade. An engineer and Postgraduate in Business Management from IIM Ahmedabad, LD has 25 years of experience.

    Publicis Media Services bolsters leadership team with key appointments

    Mumbai: Publicis Media Services, a part of Publicis Groupe India on Thursday announced key appointments in data sciences & performance marketing. Rajesh Viswanath has joined as senior vice president, data sciences while Vivek Tyagi has been brought in as the head of performance marketing. Both Rajesh Viswanath and Vivek Tyagi will report to Publicis Media Services India CEO Tanmay Mohanty.

    “The appointments are in line with it’s focus on scaled, future-facing solutions and data driven decision-making to deliver maximum impact for brands,” the company said in a statement.

    Viswanath comes with an experience of 19 years in the M&E and BFSI verticals and has worked with companies such as SG Analytics, Citiustech and Genpact. In his new role at Publicis Media Services, he will help enhance and embed analytics into integrated client solutions, underpinning data across all services and generating unparalleled business value. He will develop further the suite of tools, research, advanced analytics approaches and place data and analytics at the heart and centre of all marketing strategies for brands.

    Tyagi has over a decade of experience across marketing services, having spent almost seven years with Publicis Groupe agencies Zenith and Performics. His last stint was with Liv, lifestyle banking app by by Emirates NBD. 

    In his new role at Publicis Media Services, Tyagi will be responsible for strengthening the performance marketing proposition and offering, by harnessing the power of data and technology. He will also work with Publicis Consulting to help clients transition their performance marketing to a cookie-less yet increasingly digitally active future.

    Rajiv Gopinath named chief product & solutions officer at Publicis Groupe

    Mumbai: Publicis Media Services has bolstered its leadership team and elevated Rajiv Gopinath to the position of chief product and solutions officer. The company has also promoted Ajit Gurnani to chief growth officer, media services.

    Gopinath steps up as a chief product and solutions officer from being a chief client officer at Starcom, where he has been instrumental in building strategic functions and upscaling the business. In his new mandate, Gopinath will be leading product development and fortifying the existing offerings while acquiring new products at Publicis Media Services. He will also be helping brands to strengthen their digital offerings, enabling data partnerships, data collection, research, and tools said the agency.

    While Gurnani was spearheading the role of chief client officer at Zenith. In his new role as chief growth officer, Publicis Media Services, he will drive the ‘Power of One’ initiative with non-media entities and agencies of Groupe. 

    The new appointments are part of the agency’s goal to realign its media capabilities and strengthen its growth vertical to create a single-minded focus on new business development. The structure is strategically built to encompass clients and drive the synergies between data, tech, and digital to deliver scaled media solutions, the agency said in a statement.

    MUMBAI:  Zenith has won the media mandate of HONOR, a global leading smartphone e-brand, in India.  This includes the mainline media and digital duties of the brand. The business was won after a tightly contested multi-agency pitch.

    MUMBAI: Jai Lala has joined for the newly created position of chief operating officer (COO) at Zenith and will oversee operations, structure and expansion in addition to the scaling up of specialised, future-facing offerings for the agency. The focus will be on areas where Zenith is already market-leading such as data, dynamic content, tech, analytics, performance and programmatic.

    In addition, Zenith has elevated its managing partner and head, West & South Ajit Gurnani to the newly created role of chief client officer.     MUMBAI: Following an extensive pitch involving multiple media agencies, Zenith has won the agency of record (AOR) mandate for HDFC Life. This is for the entire traditional media mandate. The digital duties already lay with Performics.Resultrix.

    MUMBAI: Publicis Media has won the full digital duties of ZEE5 in India, the newly launched digital entertainment platform from Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL). The business was won as part of a multi-agency pitch.
