    Sun Pharma’s #SecondBirthDate returns with a shot of inspiration from Sumit Antil

     MUMBAI: Sun Pharma is back with its acclaimed #SecondBirthDate campaign this National Doctors’ Day, and this time, it packs a javelin throw of inspiration. Fronting the initiative is para-athlete Sumit Antil— a five-time gold medallist, Padma Shri and Khel Ratna awardee — who credits his second shot at life to the doctors who pierced him back together after a devastating accident.

    Antil’s moving story begins in 2015 when a road accident at age 17 shattered his dream of joining the Indian Army or becoming a wrestler. “26 May 2015 is my #SecondBirthDate — the day I began chasing a new dream,” said Antil. “It was the doctors who helped me rise again.”

    The campaign, now in its third year, continues to honour doctors as life-givers, with Antil joining previous campaign faces like actor Sushmita Sen and cricketer Rishabh Pant, both of whom shared their stories of recovery and gratitude.

    Crafted by Ogilvy India, the campaign has gone live across print and digital, with past champions like Harmanpreet Kaur and Sushmita Sen once again backing the cause.

    Mumbai: Continuing its inspiring, award-winning initiative to celebrate and honour the invaluable contributions of doctors in our lives, Sun Pharma, India’s largest pharmaceutical company unveiled its #SecondBirthDate 2.0 campaign on National Doctors’ Day. This year’s initiative features acclaimed actress, Sushmita Sen, who has joined the movement to express her heartfelt gratitude to the real-life heroes who give us a second chance at life.

    Building on the success of last year’s campaign featuring Rishabh Pant and Mahima Chaudhry, #SecondBirthDate returns with an even greater impact this year. This year, Sushmita Sen led the charge by updating her social media handle with her Second Birth Date on June 28, 2024 and today she shared her second birth certificate with her doctors.

Disney+ Hotstar has dropped the trailer of the third season of the Emmy-nominated and fan-favorite web series – Aarya which takes the gritty world of Aarya Sareen up a notch with high-octane action and drama. Cobbed in a world of family dynamics, a dangerous business, vengeance from the past and newer enemies, will Aarya survive?  

    Created and co-directed by the ace filmmaker Ram Madhvani and co-produced by Amita Madhavni, Ram Madhvani, Ram Madhvani Films and Endemol Shine India, Aarya Season 3 is set to stream exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar from 3rd November onwards.     MUMBAI: The Sherni is all set to sharpen her claws as OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar greenlights a new season of International Emmy-nominated Hotstar Specials’ Aarya. The series from filmmaker Ram Madhvani has officially entered its scripting stage. This show  follows the journey of a fierce mother to keep her family safe from the world of crime after entering the vicious network following her husband’s demise.

    The show’s lead actor Sushmita Sen said, “It is a new dawn for Aarya Sareen, and she is fierce. In Season 3, she is going places and starting her own story free from the obstacles of her past.     Mumbai: Streaming service platform Disney+ Hotstar’s web series “Aarya” has been nominated at the 49th International Emmy Awards.

    Directed by Ram Madhvani and starring Sushmita Sen, the show bagged a nomination in the ‘Drama Series’ category, becoming the first show from the OTT platform to be nominated at the Emmys.

    “We are extremely proud and honoured to be nominated at one of the most esteemed global award platforms that recognise creativity, talent and storytelling at its best,” said Star and Disney India president and head of content Gaurav Banerjee. “I congratulate the entire crew of Aarya and our team at Disney+ Hotstar for underlining India’s creative talent to the world.”

    “It is surreal to know that Aarya has been recognised globally amongst the best drama series in the world and to be nominated at a platform as prestigious as the International Emmy Awards is phenomenal,” said actor Sushmita Sen. “I am overwhelmed with the love and faith viewers across the world have put into our labour of love and want to thank each one from the bottom of my heart for the encouragement.”

    The show’s ensemble cast included the actors Namit Das, Sikander Kher, Jayant Kriplani, Sohaila Kapoor, Sugandha Garg, Maya Sareen, Vishwajeet Pradhan, and Manish Chaudhary in pivotal roles.

    On the occasion of International Women’s Day on 8 March, Nat Geo will air the television premiere of documentary He Named Me Malala at 9 pm. He Named Me Malala is the story of Malala who braved bullets to further the cause of girls’ education and showed everyone the importance of standing up for girls’ rights. The premiere of this special Nat Geo Megadoc of the Month and will be completely commercial-free.
