    PDS onboards Saurabh Saxena as group CIO

    Mumbai: PDS, a design-led sourcing, manufacturing and supply chain platform has announced the onboarding of Saurabh Saxena as group chief information officer (CIO). The appointment further reinforces the company’s commitment to its ‘digital’ pillar and a future ready PDS platform, it said.

    Prior to joining PDS, Saxena was with IBM for over 10 years where he was the head of analytics, strategy, insights & operations for IBM Cloud (data & AI, automation and security) business in the Middle East and Africa.

    A seasoned professional, Saxena has over 20 years of experience with management consulting and advisory, P&L ownership, operational leadership including various disciplines like data analytics & insights, project management, sales and business operations, enterprise solutions, and product management. Previously, he has consulted CXO’s and entrepreneurs on data and AI solutions. 

    He holds an MBA (IT systems, strategy and marketing) and a BE degree in computer science and engineering.

    Pepperfry names Piyush Agarwal as head of supply chain

    Mumbai: Furniture and home products marketplace Pepperfry on Monday named Piyush Agarwal as the head of supply chain. His appointment is effective immediately and he will be based out of Pepperfry House, here.

    In his new role, Agarwal will be responsible for leading the next phase of growth in Pepperfry’s supply chain agenda across the country, said the company in a statement.

    “Piyush’s appointment is to further strengthen our capabilities and beef up our distribution as we look to significantly expand our reach going ahead and offer our services to more clients in the space,” stated Pepperfry co-founder and COO Ashish Shah.

    Agarwal has close to a decade-long experience in supply chain functions across various verticals like – materials, planning, operations, inventory management, warehousing, forecasting & transportation. Previously, he was associated with Colgate Palmolive where he was instrumental in leading large-scale warehousing projects. He is also an alumnus of NITIE where he pursued an MBA in supply chain.

    Mumbai: FMCG personal care brand WOW Skin Science on Monday announced the appointment of Kiran Kumar as vice president of the supply chain.

    Kumar will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end supply chain of Body Cupid Pvt Ltd. His responsibilities will also include production and distribution planning, warehousing, logistics, and procurement.

    In his career spanning 18 years, Kumar has worked as senior instock manager at Cloudtail, an Amazon joint venture. He has also lent his expertise as manager- supply chain at Marico where he handled various roles across manufacturing, procurement, distribution planning, new product development, project management, modern trade, and e-commerce supply chain management.
