The association is part of the brand’s increased focus for its consumers through sports marketing which includes cricket to expand its market share in India.  

    The 2016 IPL champions and a very consistent performer in IPL, SunRisers Hyderabad will be seen sporting Valvoline’s logo on their jersey.     MUMBAI: Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd (KNPL), one of the leading paint companies in India and pioneers in ‘Healthy Home Paints’ has announced its association with Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) while continuing its association with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for the ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL).

    MUMBAI: GRADO from the House of GBTL and OCM has joined forces with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as its principal sponsor and cotton blazer partner for IPL 2019. The format of the association will be of GRADO being SRH’s principal sponsor with logo presence on its jersey, on perimeter board, visible branding on the giant screen and collaterals for cheering at the stadium.

    Along with this, there will be a stand named as ‘GRADO’ reserved for ardent Sunrisers fans on their home turf. An experiential space will also be created for the cricket aficionados. The squad which was table toppers in the last season promises to better its performance by clinching the coveted trophy this time around.

    Coolwinks.com, Red FM, Rupa, Astral Adhesive, Grado, Nerolac and Jio have been signed as principal sponsors for the twelfth edition of IPL.     BENGALURU: Sun TV Network Ltd (Sun TV) reported improved numbers across all important parameters for the year ended 31 March 2018 (FY 2018, year or the year under review) as compared with the previous year (FY 2017). The company reported 10.9 per cent higher consolidated total income of Rs 3,105.29 crore as against Rs 2,799.52 crore in FY 2017. Consolidated operating revenue increased by 12 per cent to Rs 2,963.02 crore from Rs 2,645.72 crore.

    The company has stated in its earnings release that standalone subscription revenue at Rs 1,141.21 crore was up 18.7 per cent as against Rs 961.41 crore in the previous year. Advertisement revenue in the year under review was up by around 12 per cent year on year (yoy) at Rs 1,309.33 crore.

    Consolidated FY 2018 numbers

    The company’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) in FY 2018 improved by 10.2 per cent to Rs 1,135.31 crore as against Rs 1,030.66 crore in FY 2017.

    Sun TV’s consolidated EBITDA for the year under review was Rs 2,003.76 crore (67.6 per cent of operating revenue), 13.2 per cent higher as against Rs 1,769.84 crore (66.9 per cent of operating revenue) in FY 2017.

    Consolidated total expenditure (TE) in FY 2018 increased by 10.4 per cent to Rs 1,410.33 crore as compared with Rs 1,276.36 crore in the previous year. Operating expense in FY 2018 rose by 29.6 per cent to Rs 302.86 crore from Rs 233.77 crore in the previous year. Employee benefits expense in FY 2018 increased by 15 per cent to Rs 314.54 crore as against Rs 273,51 crore in FY 2017. Other expenses (OE) in FY 2018 were 9.4 per cent lower at Rs 256.38 crore as compared with Rs 283.12 crore in the previous year.

    Sun TV has paid franchisee fees for its IPL team Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) of Rs 85.48 crore in Q1 2018 and Q1 2017.

    Standalone Q4 2018 numbers

    Sun TV reported improved numbers across all important parameters for the quarter ended 31 March 2018 (Q4 2018, the quarter under review) as compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year (yoy, Q4 2017). The company says in its earnings release that subscription revenue for the quarter increased by 27.7 per cent yoy to Rs 308.84 crore from Rs 241.94 crore.                   

    Sun TV reported 21.6 per cent higher standalone total income in the quarter under review at Rs 753.79 crore as compared to Rs 619.85 crore in Q4 2017. Operating revenue increased 23.1 per cent yoy to Rs 716.95 crore in Q4 2018 from Rs 582.50 crore in Q4 2017.

    The company’s profit after tax or PAT in Q4 2018 improved 22.8 per cent to Rs 289.76 crore as compared to Rs 235.91 crore in Q4 2017.

    Sun TV EBITDA in Q4 2018 was Rs 522.40 crore (72.9 per cent of operating revenue), 32.7 per cent higher as compared to Rs 393.64 crore (67.6 per cent of operating revenue) in Q2 2017.

    Total expenditure (TE) in Q4 2018 increased 18.3 per cent to Rs 314.47 crore as compared to Rs 265.72 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

    Operating expense in Q4 2018 increased 17.8 per cent yoy to Rs 72.73 crore from Rs 61.74 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Employee benefits expense in Q4 2018 increased 18.4 per cent to Rs 76.09 crore as compared to Rs 64.28 crore in Q4 2017. Other expenses (OE) in the Q4 2018 reduced 27.2 per cent to Rs 45.73 crore as compared to Rs 62.84 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

    Indian Premier League (IPL), the world’s most prestigious Twenty20 tournament, is back again with its 11th edition. The IPL 2018 will begin on April 7, 2018, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. A total of 60 matches will be played at nine venues across 51 days.

    MUMBAI: Officer’s Choice Blue, from Allied Blenders and Distillers, is all set to join the IPL bandwagon once again. While this is the second year of the brand’s association with Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils, it will be a debut with Sunrisers Hyderabad.

This year, the defending champions will carry Kansai Nerolac’s logo on their helmets as part of this association.

    The alliance with Sunrisers Hyderabad is second such association in a row for Kansai Nerolac.

    Sunrisers Hyderabad, a franchise based cricket team from Hyderabad, India.     MUMBAI: Although broadcast partner Sony Pictures Network (SPN) has touched estimated sponsorship revenue of Rs 1,200 crores from IPL Season 9, Vivo IPL 9 failed to garner as much social buzz as its predecessor Pepsi IPL did in 2015. As per a recently released report Social Penetration by IPL through MESH, which is a proprietary tool for data analysis by Maxus India, Pepsi IPL generated almost double the social media buzz in 2015 as compared to Vivo IPL this year. Comparable buzz numbers were 240,164 minions in IPL 2016 and 456,943 mentions in 2015

    The MESH report says that the buzz around #Pepsi IPL 2015 vs # Vivo IPL 2016, Pepsi had generated 47 percent more mentions than this year’s IPL.  Across social media platforms, IPL 2016 crossed 3.1 million (31 lakh) mentions. 

    According to the MESH report in week one of IPL 2016, mentions dropped by 9 percent against IPL 2015. Also in week 2 and week 3 of IPL 2016, the mentions went down by 20 percent and 11 percent respectively, while in week 4 social mentions hiked up by 20 percent. As per the reports, week 5 again witnessed a downfall of 8.1 percent but in week 6 mentions went up again by 3 percent. Week 7 of IPL 2016 was an impressive session. The last week witnessed 74 percent hike in social mentions from IPL 2016. 

    RCB was the highest buzzing team followed by KKR and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Virat Kohli with 533128 mentions and AB De Villiers with 229 831 mentions were the most tagged players of IPL 2016.

    When it comes to top IPL and top buzzing sponsors hashtags Vivo ruled the buzz with more than around 2 lakh mentions around #VivoIPL followed by beverages company Kingfisher’s #UnitedByGoodTimes campaign. Gionee was number three with #GioneeKKR getting 100,000 plus mentions while Freecharge’s #LoDoKhatamkaro and Telecom company Vodafone’s #BeSuper campaign clocked 50,000 plus mentions during IPL 2016.
