    Madhouse COO Pathak hired as Httpool MD – southeast Asia

    MUMBAI: Httpool has announced the appointment of Milind Pathak as the managing director for Southeast Asia to be based in Jakarta.

    In this role, Milind will be responsible for laying the foundation and setting up of Httpool in the region and building up strategic relationships with key clients and partners. Httpool has global client / partner alliances, and intends to provide the Southeast Asia market access to these partners.

    Milind is an experienced international executive, with strong knowledge of the southeast Asia region and a well-recognised thought leadership in mobile and digital industry. He has been an active evangelist in the Asian market for mobile entertainment/ marketing / commerce / internet domain for over two decades.

    In his previous role, Milind was the COO of Madhouse, South Asia, A WPP- GroupM’s mobile marketing specialist unit, where he was responsible for providing award-winning mobile media and creative solutions across the GroupM client portfolio and help them manoeuver a mobile first journey in the digital world.

    Milind has played multiple level leadership roles in his previous avatars at One97 (Paytm) – Comviva (later acquired by Tech-Mahindra) / Mitsui / Buongiorno in multiple markets of Asia / Africa and Middle East

    Httpool APAC co-founder and MD Sunny Nagpal said: “Milind is an exceptional choice to lead the Southeast Asia business as he has a track record of leading businesses at a global level and deliver sustained growth and profitability. His in-depth experience in this sector will lay a strong foundation for the SEA business.”

    He will be leading business initiatives and set up of the Southeast Asia operations of Httpool group. Httpool is in process of starting its operations in Indonesia and Malaysia and looking at aggressively penetrating the region.

    MUMBAI: Httpool, an international cross channel ad network with a presence in Central and Eastern Europe and Asia, and Twitter have come together.

    Httpool has been appointed as Twitter’s official ad sales partner for India from 1 October, 2017. This will expand the advertising support for marketers in India.

    Brands and advertising agencies across the country can now work closely with an experienced Httpool India team and leverage Twitter Ad solutions to amplify their marketing objectives.

    IMS Internet Media Services (IMS), a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Television, recently acquired a 51 per cent stake in Httpool.

    The new partnership of Twitter and Httpool in India was a natural transition given the scale of their global partnership across 22 markets in Europe. Httpool team in India is expected to provide service to Twitter’s existing and new clients by collaborating with Httpool’s global offices and centers of excellence on best practices and brand strategy.

    Twitter head of reseller partnerships – Asia Pacific Chandan Deep said: “India is an important market for Twitter as a platform. We are committed to investing in revenue growth in this market.”

    Three out of every five people on Twitter follow at least one brand. And 80 per cent people on Twitter are also active on mobile, giving advertisers the perfect opportunity to catch people on the go.

  • Sony Pictures IMS acquires majority stake in ad network Httpool

    MUMBAI: IMS Internet Media Services (IMS), a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Television Networks and one of the largest digital ad sales and media buying companies in Latin America, has announced it has reached an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Httpool, an international cross channel ad network, with a presence in Central and Eastern Europe and Asia.

    Subject to regulatory approval, the deal will create one of the largest digital marketing and ad sales companies in the industry, with a combined operation supporting more than 6000 agencies and brands worldwide, and exclusively representing Twitter, LinkedIn, Spotify and more than 5000 global and local publishers across 30 countries in Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Asia Pacific regions.

    This alliance includes acquisition of Httpool India that was founded in 2010 and has offices in Mumbai & Delhi, working with over 300 brands and executing over 2500 campaigns annually, across all channels of digital advertising. This partnership with IMS will give Httpool India access to a diverse range of products and technologies from enriched markets, as well as knowledge sharing of best practices, that will not only expand their portfolio but also help in their endeavor to change the dynamics of Indian digital advertising.

    MUMBAI: Httpool has launched a new creative ad-format called the httpool Engagement Ad throughout its global ad network.

    The httpool Engagement Ad offers advertisers a new and interactive way to engage consumers around its products and brand messages on the web.

    The httpool Engagement Ad is composed of two parts – the teaser ad, which is displayed on the bottom of the website, and the main ad, that is expanded from the teaser ad after a two-second mouse overlay.

    Httpool India managing director Sunny Nagpal said, “Httpool Engagement enables advertisers to catch consumers` attention easily through its positioning on publisher websites, format-size, visibility and interaction functionalities. The ad is displayed on the bottom of the website, outside standard banner positions and is shown only to those users who are active for longer than 2 seconds in order to ensure full ad-message impact.”

    The key benefit offered by the new creative ad platform includes interactivity with consumers though HD video integration, sweepstakes/competition, voting, product gallery and maps of locations within the ad.
