    ZEEL exec Sunil Buch resigns

    MUMBAI: Sunil Buch has put in his papers at ZEEL.

    Appointed as the chief business officer of the network in 2014, and recently elevated to the position of the chief executive officer (CEO) — Zee Live and Zee Talent and head of corporate brand and communications.

    Buch has over two decades of experience in functional and general management across various sectors like FMCG, advertising, media and entertainment and telecom retail.

    Prior to joining ZEEL, he was the business head at Reliance Own Retail at Reliance Communications. He has also worked with major brands like Colgate – Palmolive, Johnson and Johnson, Leo Burnett and Marico.

  • Essel Group’s 90 years event simulcasts across all ZEE entertainment channels

    MUMBAI: Essel Group recently held its 90 years celebrations event in New Delhi amidst the presence of esteemed dignitaries, corporate honchos and Government authorities including the president Pranab Mukherjee and prime inister, Narendra Modi. The success of the event was the result of the entire Essel Group working together as one family.

    While the event witnessed a full house of over 3000+ guests comprising of top politicians, corporate honchos and the cream layer of the society, Essel Group has planned to take the event to the living rooms of its 1.2 Bn viewers across the world. The event will simulcast across all the ZEE Entertainment channels, through a roadblock, on 21May 2017 at 5 pm.

    The highlights of the event include president Pranab Mukherjee and PM Narendra Modi’s powerful speeches, awards, along with the keynote of ,Essel Group cahirman and Member of Parliament,Rajya Sabhah Subhash Chandra.

    The event also features a special poetry recited by Amitabh Bachchan, which beautifully captures the journey of Essel Group. Blended with powerful performances by the artists of ZEE Entertainment’s leading shows Saregamapa and Dance India Dance, this event promises an entertaining Sunday evening.

    Zee Entertainment Enterprises is a global content company which has always focused on Women Empowerment, either through its content offerings or social initiatives. In this journey of empowering women, Zee has launched a special initiative called ArmybehindtheArmy, which aims at recognizing the selfless women behind our brave soldiers and who are the true source of their inspiration.

    This special initiative will be launched at the Zee Cine Awards on 1 April 2017. A 2-minute salutation anthem video capturing the idea will be presented by Anushka Sharma who herself hails from an army family.

    The salutation anthem film shot by director Ken Rolston from Story Tellers, a leading film production house brings alive the grit and inner struggle of these women through a powerful and emotive narrative – Hum Hain. The film is a montage of portraits of real wives, widows and mothers of the forces. We see them in the fields, in their homes, with their children, with the wedding album, going through life… alone.

    The strong visual cue – a unique visual identity designed by FCB Ulka for the initiative – is inspired by army fatigues, with a camouflage design that is derived from women in various acts of nurturing and caring. This lends a strong visual and emotive character to the communication.

    Subsequently a multimedia campaign will be launched that will include social media, mass media, and across the leading channels of Zee backed with on-ground activities. The campaign will culminate in a grand salute on Republic Day next year.

    MUMBAI: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL) has signed a deal for four blockbuster television series with the international content distributor, Eccho Rights.

    Zee has got the rights to broadcast several hit Turkish dramas as well as the blockbuster Ukrainian series, Snowdrop, that has launched on Zindagi on 16 January at 9pm.

    The first Ukrainian series to be broadcast in India, ‘Snowdrop’ is made by Front Cinema Production and will air Monday- Saturday at 9pm. Snowdrop is based on the original format Ice Adonis, from Korean producers CJ E&M, and follows the story of two step-sisters divided by love and business interests.

    Commenting on ZEE’s association with Eccho Rights, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd.     MUMBAI: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL) has signed a deal for four blockbuster television series with the international content distributor, Eccho Rights.
