    Mumbai: Lowe Lintas has joined forces with Naukri.com, India’s premier careers platform, to introduce an engaging new campaign tailored specifically for the ambitious Gen Z workforce. The campaign aims to reinforce Naukri’s position as the preferred destination for young professionals, by showcasing & legitimizing their ambitious behavior.

    In today’s dynamic corporate landscape, the younger individuals are characterized by their ambition, drive, and determination to succeed. In a world governed by age-old rules and wisdom, Gen Z are in a hurry when it comes to careers. They are ambitious for growth, unwilling to settle for anything lesser than their goals. And while the world may see it as a not so positive trait, they see it as essential for getting ahead in their professional journeys.

    Recognizing this trait, Naukri & Lowe Lintas has conceptualised a strategic campaign focused for this discerning demographic.

    Intended to go live during IPL where ACDs are no more than 15seconds, the campaign leverages compelling storytelling & resonant messaging, to connect with Gen Z job seekers on a deeper level. Developed in a tone & manner that is quint-essential ‘Naukri’ – insightful & light-hearted yet thought provoking, the films exhibit the change that has begun shaping careers all over.

    BharatPe appoints Sumeet Singh as general counsel & head – corporate strategy

    MUMBAI: BharatPe has onboarded Sumeet Singh as the general counsel and head – corporate strategy. The appointment will further bolster the leadership team at BharatPe, which currently is a mix of renowned professionals across industries.

    Singh is a seasoned legal professional with 10+ years of experience across leading law firms including AZB& Partners, DSK Legal and Amarchand Mangaldas. He brings deep understanding of legal, compliance, regulatory and structuring aspects of multiple sectors including non-banking financial, retail, e-commerce, FMCG, digital media and technology.

    Singh, who is expected to join BharatPe soon, is currently a partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, New Delhi, having joined the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas Suresh A. Shroff in 2013 from AZB. He has actively represented some of India’s biggest e-commerce, retail entities, financial companies and start-ups. Recently, he was part of the core team advising Reliance Retail Ventures in its acquisition of the entire retail, wholesale, logistics and warehousing business of Kishore Biyani's Future Group. He has also been advising Norwest Venture Partners (a US$ 9 billion investment fund) in all their recent investments in India including in Xpressbess, OFB Tech, Ess Kay Fin Corp, Veritas Finance etc. He has been an advisor to Grofers since its early days leading their fundraising work.

    Additionally, Singh represented Indiamart on its pre-IPO fund raising. His other marquee representations include clients like Nestle, IFC, Inshorts, IDFC Alternatives Ltd (now Global Infrastructure Partners), Qatar based Q Invest, Raine Group and NewsCorp.

    Harbhajan Mann’s Punjabi film to release on 29 May

    NEW DELHI: Punjabi singer-turned-actor Harbhajan Mann will soon be seen in the suspense Punjabi thriller Gadaar-The Traitor, which is slated to release on 29 May.

     

    Talking about the film, Mann said, “It is always good to play with characters as people have a tendency to get bored with things after a point of time. It is very important to entertain people with something different each time.”

     
    Directed by Amitoj Mann and produced by Sumeet Singh, the film also stars Evelyn Sharma and Manpreet Grewal.

    The film is produced under the banner of Saga-Unisys Infosolutions and Grandsons Films and will have a fresh concept amidst comedy and romance.

     
    Mann said that the movie is likely to break stereotypes of storylines that has been set for so long and will be a complete package of action, romance, suspense and thrills.

    Mann will portray a character named Jay Singh, who is an adventurous business tycoon.

    The German model turned actress Evelyn Sharma’s looks and talent paved ways for more more roles in Bollywood. Sharma said, “My acting has grown as I have done many Hindi films. No doubt it was difficult but at the end of the day you are happy because you end up learning something new and delivering Punjabi dialogues was like a challenge for me. It is not everyone’s cup of tea. Your past experience makes you confident enough to take the challenge and it ultimately helps you to realise your potential.”  

     
    Grewal, who won the title Miss Australian Punjaban in 2012, will be debuting in the film as the female lead playing the character of a journalist. “This is my very first movie that too as a lead so I was actually shocked and excited at the same when the director approached me for the role. Also the character I am playing is very challenging and working with such great people in your first film is itself an opportunity to learn so many things from them,” she said.

    Amitoj Mann, who has directed films like Haani, Hawayein,Kaafila and many music videos said, “It is time to change the face of Punjabi cinema and with this film, the audience will see more than just romance and love. The film has action, romance, suspense and thrill. It is a film that can potentially open more doors for other film makers. The audience will see good, clean cinema with thought-provoking and tastefully done stories.”

     
    The film is shot in locations of Punjab, Goa, Mumbai and Toronto.
