    Subhas Warrier launches Sensibly Weird Company

    NEW DELHI: Prominent adman Subhas Warrier, who has earlier worked with agencies like Ogilvy and Mindshare, recently launched his own advertising agency, Sensibly Weird Company. He has partnered with former head of department (visual arts) at the National Institute of Creative Communication (NICC), Bengaluru, Shyam Musthafa. 

    Based out of Kochi, Sensibly Weird Company is going to be a small multidisciplinary creative solutions company and a design house. It is already associated with clients like Hama, Xavax, Toni & Guy, Cater, etc. 

    Boasting of over three decades of experience in the industry, Warrier has earlier handled brands like Ford Motors, Pond’s, Emirates Airline, Gulf Air, Air Arabia, British Petroleum, Jockey, 3M, Taaza Tea, IBM, Knorr Foods, Sunsilk Shampoo, Close Up, Sensodyne, Intercontinental Hotels, Citibank, and Qatar National Bank.

    Musthafa, on the other hand, has worked with brands like Forum Mall (Prestige group), The Chennai Silks, Food Stop Diner, Milou, Jain Tubes, Kings Beer, Indel Money, Masala Box, and Vivafit, among others.

    Aegis Media’s Vizeum India appoints Subhas Warrier VP – South India

    MUMBAI: Vizeum India has appointed Subhas Warrier as vice president south India.

    Subhas will play an important role in the agency‘s growth strategy in south India. He will be based in Chennai and will report to Vizeum managing director Indian subcontinent S Yesudas.

    On the appointment, S Yesudas said, “Vizeum has consolidated Chennai well and is at an interesting juncture in its journey as we look at spreading our wings in more markets in the region. We just announced our Kochi launch. Subhas brings on board all that‘s needed for our South India strategy. I‘m delighted to welcome him into the Vizeum family and wish him all the very best as I look forward to working with him.”

    Commenting on the new role Subhas Warrier said, “What attracted me to Vizeum is the inspiring leadership, the determination with which the company has been built from scratch as well as the faith of clients. What I see of Vizeum from the inside simply amazes me. I would passionately take it to as many clients as possible as I feel every advertiser needs to be exposed to the Vizeum way of thinking.     Subhas held various positions during his 20 plus years media career in agencies like JWT, Ogilvy & Mather, MindShare, Eye-2-Eye Media & Dentsu. He was last leading the south India team at Initiative, based in Bangalore.

  • Subhas Warrier joins LIM as EVP

    MUMBAI: Lintas Initiative Media (LIM) has appointed media veteran Subhas Warrier as EVP and head of South.

    Warrier will report to LIM CEO Sudha Natrajan.

    Warrier said, “I am delighted to join the fire power of Lintas Initiative Media. There is a great bunch of people here. The clients here are very aggressive and are open to new ideas and are continuously looking to take more and more innovative initiatives in their marketing effort.”

    Natrajan added, “A creative mind, bringing back magic to the media business, is what he will bring to the table.”

    Natrajan is on a mission to build a senior council of experienced professionals with cutting edge expertise at LIM. Appointment of Raghav Subramanian as COO, four months back, was the first step in that direction.

    Warrier will further strengthen the council.

    Subramanian added, “The South has always been key for Lintas, and has contributed greatly to our overall growth and equity. We have a healthy rooster of large clients with long relationships, and we needed someone with the maturity and width and depth of experience that Subhas brings to the table. We have very aggressive plans for the region for this year, and are already in the process of acquisition of some key new businesses.”

    Warrier started his career in 1987 with Osterads Advertising and Marketing Dubai.

    Prior to his most recent stint with Dentsu Media in Mumbai as their Mumbai Head, he has worked with JWT, Ogilvy, and then MindShare followed with a hand in his own business and a Consultancy Start Up called Eye – 2 – Eye Media in Dubai.
