    Anoop Seth Joins Sterlite Power board of directors

    NEW DELHI: Sterlite Power, a leading global power transmission player, announced the appointment of Anoop Seth as an independent director of the company. Seth is a distinguished leader in the infrastructure and finance sectors. He has held leadership positions in companies such as AMP Capital, Bank of America, Bechtel Corp, IDFC, Reliance Industries, Standard Chartered Bank, and IL&FS Energy.  He will advise the Board and leadership team on matters related to strategy and growth.

    Sterlite Power  chairman Pravin Agarwal said, “I am delighted that Anoop Seth is joining the Sterlite Power board. His significant experience in finance and infrastructure sector will stand us in good stead as we continue to make rapid strides in the power sector.”

    Seth added, “I am pleased to join the Board of Sterlite Power and look forward to advising and supporting the leadership team in their journey to build a world-class organisation.” 

    Seth has over thirty-five years in financial services and several infrastructure sectors. He completed his MMS from BITS Pilani in 1982 with a major in Finance, and Executive International Management Programme from INSEAD, France in 1993.

    Swaminathan Subramanian Joins Sterlite Power as Group Chief Human Resource Officer

    Sterlite Power, a leading global power transmission player, today announced the appointment of Mr. Swaminathan Subramanian as the Group Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) of the company. In his role, Swaminathan will be responsible for leading the HR function across India and Brazil.

    Swaminathan has more than 22 years of experience working across domains like Consulting, Mergers & Acquisitions, Compensation & Benefits and HR Governance with an in-depth exposure to markets in Asia, Africa and Middle East. He has worked with renowned firms like Standard Chartered, Barclays, JP Morgan and Fullerton. Prior to joining Sterlite Power, Subramanian was associated with Reliance Capital as Chief People Officer for Financial Services business of the ADAG Group.

    Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Pratik Agarwal, Managing Director, Sterlite Power, said, “We have grown rapidly in the last few years and I am delighted that Swami has joined us as Group Chief Human Resource Officer to steer this strategic function. His strong track record will help us strengthen our culture and attract future ready talent.”

    MUMBAI: National Geographic is all set to bring forth a very significant and inspiring story of an extreme engineering feat, a coming together of human resilience and triumph of technology to make the unimaginable, possible. The exclusive documentary, EXTREME TECH: CORRIDOR TO KASHMIR will take viewers to some of the Himalayan ranges and showcase the innovation in technology to overcome monumental challenges to set up an electric transmission network across the in Pir Panjal range.

    This must-watch documentary will premiere on 4 February at 7:30 pm.

    This is an incredible story of the invincible human grit coupled with a technological marvel meant to strengthen the energy reliability of Kashmir valley. This one-hour marvel of a story speaks about the efforts of one of India’s largest energy delivery solution provider Sterlite Power, braving extreme weather and challenges of tough terrains to set-up a power transmission network.
