    Starcom MediaVest launches LiquidThread in APAC

    MUMBAI: In a move to better capitalise on changing consumer behaviours driven by technology and social media and to deliver more effective human experiences through content, Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) announced the launch of digital-led, Liquid Thread in APAC, including India.

    The newly formed unit is geared to create and sequence content across every screen to advance marketer goals. 

    CVL Srinivas will take charge as managing director of LiquidThread APAC from 5 January.

    Said SMG Global CEO Laura Desmond, “Liquid Thread sits at the intersection of human truth, digital and content. As a Human Experience Company, it is incumbent upon us to make content more easily accessible and readily available, acknowledging and embracing the fact that it will be picked up, played with, iterated, built upon and passed along. These are the terms that consumers have set, and the reality that we respect.” 

    Liquid Thread was launched in the US in April 2009.

    Liquid Thread‘s re-imagined approach is rooted in digital and social media innovation, to drive unique audience segmenting and content sequencing to ensure clients‘ messages reach consumers at right times, in optimal places and spaces.

    Srinivas appointed managing director, LiquidThread APAC & chairman SMG India

    MUMBAI: Starcom MediaVest Group has appointed CVL Srinivas as MD of LiquidThread APAC and Chairman of Starcom MediaVest Group, India.

    Based in New Delhi, Srinivas will take charge with effect from 5 January.

    Srinivas will report to SMG president, global operations Andrew Swinand and LiquidThread, SMG president and managing director Brian Terkelsen. He will also work closely with Srikant Sastri, Country Chair, VivaKi India and will be a member of the SMG global management group.

    Said Andrew Swinand, “We are delighted to have found an extraordinary leader for SMG India and for our growing LiquidThread operations in APAC. Srini brings with him nearly two decades of business experience and we are excited about him being part of the SMG family. We are confident that he will make a strategic difference to our India business and drive the Human Experience Company philosophy.”

    On his new role, Srinivas said, “SMG‘s promise to be the Human Experience Company is fascinating and future-focused. I look forward to working closely with the teams at LiquidThread and SMG to translate this vision into tangible value for our clients”.

    Earlier Srinivas has worked in agencies such as Madison Media and Maxus. His latest assignment was at The Times Group as Director, Private Treaties.

  • RP Singh joins Starcom MediaVest

    RP Singh joins Starcom MediaVest

    MUMBAI: Starcom MediaVest Group has tapped a senior Maxus Interaction executive. RP Singh has joined Starcom MediaVest Group, but his exact role is being firmed up.

    Confirming the development, a SMG spokesperson said that Singh will be based in Singapore and his role plus the markets he will be working on will be confirmed in due time.

    Prior to this, Singh was working as a business director at Maxus Interaction and has about nine years of experience in the industry. He handled digital marketing for clients like Nokia, Hero Honda and Seagram.

    Starting his career in 2001 with King Infotech Software Solutions, Singh pursued an MBA degree a year later. He has worked in GroupM and was transferred to Mindshare Interaction China.
