    MUMBAI: The flagship Hindi general entertainment channels of Star India, Viacom18 and Zee Entertainment Enterprises have maintained their place in the top three slots in the genre in week 5 as per Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India data in HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 4+ Individuals.

     

    While Star Plus retained its numero uno position with an increase in ratings at 724223 (‘000s) in week 5, Colors also witnessed a spike in ratings with 713106 (‘000s) and managed to hold on to its second position. On the other hand, while witnessing a drop in ratings from last week, Zee TV held on to its third position with 684106 (‘000s).

     

    Zee Network’s free-to-air (FTA) channel Zee Anmol too saw a drop in ratings from last week but held on to its position in the fourth spot with 540883 (‘000s).

     

    Life OK climbed up the charts from its place in the eight position last week to perch on the fifth spot with 425211 (‘000s) in week 5, while Star Utsav with 355093 (‘000s) was down one spot to stand in the sixth place with a considerable fall in ratings from last week’s 487280 (‘000s).

     

    Sony Entertainment Television with 338638 (‘000s) and its sister channel Sab with 334730 (‘000s) were in the seventh and eighth position respectively. On the other hand, Sony Pal with 330874 (‘000s) was in the ninth place.

     

    Rishtey with 289121 (‘000s) saw a massive drop in ratings from last week’s 416858 (‘000s) and fell to the tenth spot from its erstwhile seventh position.

    On the other hand, Hindi general entertainment channel Star Plus also continued to hold its place in the second spot with 773808 (‘000s) in week 5 as compared to last week’s 763739 (‘000s).

     

    Colors, which had dropped down to the third position in week 4, held its spot with 756373 (‘000s) and also saw an increase in ratings from last week’s 745916 (‘000s).

     

    Witnessing a drop in ratings from last week, both Zee TV with 736837 (‘000s) and its FTA sister channel Zee Anmol with 541811 (‘000s) managed to retain their positions in the fourth and fifth spots respectively.

     

    Climbing up the charts this week was ETV Telugu with 448885 (‘000s), which came up to the sixth position in week 5 as compared to last week’s eighth place.

     

    Rising up to the seventh place this week was Life OK with 440315 (‘000s) from its ninth spot in week 4.

     

    New entrants in the Top 10 channels list across genres in week 5 were movie channels Zee Cinema with 432528 (‘000s) in the eighth spot and Star Gold with 416222 (‘000s) in the ninth place.

     

    Sony Max, which was in the seventh place in week 4 dropped to the bottom of the list at number 10 in week 5 with 390616 (‘000s) and also witnessed considerable drop in ratings from last week’s 468771 (‘000s).

     

    Bowing out from the charts in week 5 were Star Utsav and Sony Pal, which were in the sixth and tenth slot respectively in week 4.

    MUMBAI: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd’s (ZEEL) free-to-air channel Zee Anmol, which received a major fillip with the release of the rural inclusive data from Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India last year, has been slowly climbing down the rungs in the opening weeks of 2016.

     

    After making an entry in the third spot in the maiden all India (urban + rural) data last year, Zee Anmol climbed up the charts, even managing to pip markets leader Star Plus to claim the No. 1 slot last year. With the rise of Colors in the closing weeks of 2015 to the top slot, Zee Anmol continued its hold on the second position.

     

    However, in week 2 of 2016, Star Plus climbed to the second spot, which pushed Zee Anmol to the third rung. And now in week 3, Zee TV has climbed up to the third position, pushing Zee Anmol to the fourth place in the Hindi GECs’ pecking order.

     

    On the other hand, Colors continued to lead the genre though it saw a decline in ratings, while Star Plus maintained its second spot in week 3 of BARC all India data.

     

    The third week of BARC saw DD National re-entering the Top 10 Hindi GECs list, while Sony Entertainment Television made an exit.

     

    Colors grabbed the leadership position with 701098 (‘000s) as against 762023 (‘000s) in the previous week. Following it was Star Plus with 681775 (‘000s) in the second slot.

     

    Zee TV climbed up to the third position with 647201 (‘000s), while Zee Anmol stood at number four with 638381 (‘000s).
     

    Star India’s FTA channel Star Ustav maintained its place in the fifth place with 437498 (‘000s), followed by Life OK in the sixth slot with 427374 (‘000s).
     
    Sony Pal with 394987 (‘000s) and Rishtey with 393743 (‘000s) stood at the seventh and eighth positions respectively.
     

    Sab TV bagged the ninth place in the genre with 361055 (‘000s), while DD National made its presence felt at the tenth position with 329478 (‘000s).

    MUMBAI: Even though it saw a decline in ratings, Sun TV continued to lead across genres and maintained its leadership position in the final week of 2015. While Colors and Star Plus were on the second and third spot respectively witnessed rise in ratings, according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) All India data for week 52.

     

    Sun TV garnered the first spot with 1031406 (000Sums) as against 1089988 (000Sums) in the previous week, followed by Colors in second position with 790994 (000Sums) as against 766353 (000Sums) in week 51. 

     

    Star Plus in the third place also witnessed a rise with 774166 (000Sums) as against 732209 (000Sums) in the previous week.

     

    FTA channel Zee Anmol stood at the fourth spot with 743524 (000Sums) followed by Zee TV on number five with 710332 (000Sums). Star Ustav with 468039 (000Sums) grabbed sixth slot across genre.

     

    ETV Telugu with 465946 (000 Sums), Sony Entertainment Television with 442280 (000Sums) and Life OK with 411779 (000Sums) bagged the seventh, eighth and ninth berths respectively.

     

    On the other hand, Maa TV stood at the tenth spot with 411779 (000Sums).

    MUMBAI: Closing 2015 on a high, Colors managed to retain its numero uno position and continued to lead in the Hindi general entertainment channels’ (GECs) genre in the last week of the year.

     

    While free to air (FTA) channel Zee Anmol managed to secure its second slot, Star Plus was perched on the third slot in week 52, according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) All India data.

     

    Colors grabbed the first spot with 744923 (000Sums) followed by Zee Anmol with 742876 (000Sums) and Star Plus in the third place with 712114 (000Sums).

     

    Zee TV witnessed a marginal decline in ratings but maintained its claim on the fourth spot with 651175 (000Sums) as against 669655 (000Sums) in week 51.

     

    Star India’s FTA Star Ustav saw fall in ratings and stood at the fifth spot with 464803 (000Sums) as against 514354 (000Sums) in the previous week followed by Life OK in sixth place with 396615 (000Sums) and Rishtey on the seventh rung with 379529 (000Sums).

     

    Sab TV stood at number eight with 328873 (000Sums), while Sony Pal garnered the ninth spot with 323119 (000Sums).

     

    Sony Entertainment Television was down to the tenth spot with 314286 (000Sums).

    MUMBAI: Sun TV made a comeback after two weeks and secured the leadership position across genres in week 50 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India. Colors replaced the Hindi GEC leader Star Plus in the second slot, pushing the latter in the third position.

    Sony Entertainment Television exited the top 10 list in week 50.

    Sun TV garnered the first spot with 997647 (000Sums) followed by Colors in the second slot with 768239 (000Sums) and Star Plus in the third place with 759484 (000Sums).

    Zee Anmol witnessed a drop in ratings but stood at number four with 754273 (000Sums) as against 780847 (000Sums) in the previous week.

    Zee TV too witnessed a downfall and grabbed the fifth spot with 733866 (000Sums) as against 781916 (000Sums) in week 49.  

    Star India’s FTA channel Star Ustav also saw a fall in ratings and stood at number six with 509538 (000Sums) as against 571080 (000Sums) in the previous week.

    Life OK grabbed the seventh position with 453849 (000Sums) followed by ETV Telugu with 448546 (000Sums) in the eight slot. Zee Cinema with 423529 (000Sums) was in the ninth position followed by Maa TV in the tenth position with 401343 (000Sums).

    MUMBAI: Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) leader Star Plus witnessed a downfall in ratings but continued to lead the top 10 list across genres in week 49 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India, all India (U+R) data excluding Tamil Nadu / Puducherry.

     

    Star Plus garnered first position with 806592 (000Sums) against 854074 (000Sums) in week 48, followed by Colors in the second place with 784923 (000Sums). Zee TV, which was in the fourth place last week, jumped up to the third spot in week 49 with 781916 (000Sums). 

     

    Zee Anmol saw a drop to stand in the fourth spot with 780847 (000Sums).

     

    Star India’s free to air (FTA) channel Star Ustav stood at number five with 571080 (000Sums). Life OK grabbed the sixth position with 490139 (000Sums) followed by Sony Max with 467376 (000Sums) and Sony Entertainment Television with 453407 (000Sums) in the seventh and eighth slots respectively.

     

    ETV Telugu bagged the ninth position with 438849 (000Sums), whereas Zee Cinema with 402569 (000Sums) stood at number ten in the pecking order.

    MUMBAI: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited’s (Zeel) free to air (FTA) channel Zee Anmol has toppled Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) market leader Star Plus to become the leader in the genre in week 49 according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India, HSM (U+R): NCCS All: 4+ Individuals.

    Since the introduction of rural data by BARC India, FTA channel Zee Anmol has been amongst the top three in the Hindi GEC genre since week 41.

    Zee Anmol secured its leadership position with 779821 (000 Sum), whereas Star Plus was second in the pecking order with 751510 (000 Sum).

    Colors was perched at the third position in the genre with 746799 (000 Sum) followed by Zee TV in the fourth spot with 718536 (000 Sum).

    Star India’s FTA channel Star Ustav stood at number five with 568630 (000 Sum).

    Life OK with with 474327 (000 Sum) and Sony Entertainment Television with 429400 (000 Sum) maintained their positions at sixth and seventh slot respectively.

    Sab TV grabbed the eight spot with 356366 (000 Sum) whereas Rishtey, which was in the tenth spot last week, stood at number nine with 305570 (000 Sum). Sony Pal dropped to the tenth position with 302045 (000 Sum).
