    Mumbai: Bengaluru-headquartered esports fan engagement startup, Stan has announced entering into a strategic partnership with Nodwin Gaming and Star Sports, who are jointly presenting the Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series Tournament 2022. The tournament is set to become the first-ever nationally-televised esports tournament in the history of Indian esports. It will be held from 24 June – 17 July 2022.

    The objective of this partnership is to bring greater awareness to the masses for Stan which claims to be India’s first fan engagement platform that provides fans with the opportunity to meet their idols and bridge the gap between influencers and fans. As a part of the collaboration, Stan has been named as the ‘official collectibles partner’ at the upcoming BGMI masters series.

    The partnership between Nodwin, Star Sports and Stan aims to bring forth innovation and excitement across the intersectional areas of fan engagement and esports. Further, it will enable fans to get exclusive fan rewards such as meetups. In addition, Stan is also introducing a game in its app, through which its users shall be able to engage with the tournament, as well as hosting multiple giveaways on its social media handles, wherein exclusive event based rewards are to be given to the giveaway winners.

    Mumbai: Star Sports along with Nodwin Gaming bring the broadcast of esports tournament Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Masters Series 2022 on TV. Star Sports has launched a promo film focusing on every gamer in the country.

    This will be the first time an esports tournament will be broadcast live on an Indian sports channel.

    The tournament will see 24 top BGMI teams from across the country compete for a prize pool of Rs 1.5 crore and the title of champions. The action will be live on Star Sports 2 from 24 June to 17 July between 8 pm to 11.30 pm in Hindi, Tamil and English.

    The film, created and conceptualized by the in-house team at Disney Star and the creative team at Nodwin, takes the viewer through an enchanted world of gaming, studded with a dynamic sequence of colors, fast-paced action with lasers, lights, and caster VO. The film features the top Indian gamers like Mortal, Scout, Jonathan, Ninja and Owais in their elements, revving up the adrenaline, and inviting viewers to revel in the action as esports marks its journey to epic sports.

    MUMBAI:  Star Sports and Nodwin Gaming, an esports company, have tied up to bring esports to the home of sports. In a move that will take esports to the masses at large, Star Sports will broadcast the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Masters Series tournament from 24 June-17 July, 2022, in Hindi, Tamil and English. The tournament will be aired Live on Star Sports 2 from the Nodwin Studios, specifically built for large-scale esports tournaments, in New Delhi. The participating teams will play for a prize pool of Rs. 1.5 crore.

    The addition of esports in global multi-sporting events like the Olympics, Asian Games, and Commonwealth Games is a strong testament to the growing stature of the sport worldwide, the parties said.     Mumbai: Star Sports and Quidich Innovation Labs partnered to produce an augmented reality (AR) event during the Tata IPL 2022 final match between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals.

    During the innings break, TV viewers were presented with an augmented reality show featuring a majestic eagle that swooped into the stadium.

    Star Sports and Quidich Innovation Labs created this AR showcase using an Unreal Engine, a powerful real-time 3D game engine, coupled with Quidich’s proprietary real-time drone tracking system, Spatio.

    The final match witnessed a record attendance attracting a crowd of 1,04,859. The AR showcase transformed the sky above Narendra Modi stadium where the match was held.

     

     

    “The use of augmented-reality on the IPL final marks a new beginning for the use of AR in cricket for creating new and immersive fan experiences and advertising opportunities like never before,” said the statement. “The Star Sports Labs along with Quidich will be using this technology to wow fans and create memorable moments.”

    Mumbai: Star Sports Network has launched a new campaign, #ChaseTheRecord, featuring Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan.

    Created and conceptualized by the in-house team at Star Sports, the campaign film showcases Aamir Khan donning the team India jersey while echoing the chorus of fans and waiting to be part of this historic occasion.

    After two months of scintillating the IPL auction, T20 cricket continues as team India is all set to create history in a five-match T20 International series against South Africa. India will look to accomplish a 13-0 winning streak during the first T20I when the bilateral series gets underway on 9 June 2022, live and exclusive on the Star Sports Network and Disney+ Hotstar. The campaign aims to magnify this idea.

    Mumbai: Even as the pulsating IPLT20 tournament has entered the playoff stage, Disney Star India has announced that it’s going to add to cricket lovers’ excitement by airing My11Circle Women’s T20 Challenge from 23 May to 28 May on the Star Sports network and stream it on Disney+ Hotstar as well. The tournament will have multilingual feeds in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

    The tournament features three teams Supernovas, Trailblazers and Velocity with Hamanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma respectively leading them. Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Pooja Vastrakar, Yastika Bhatia, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Richa Ghosh, Poonam Yadav, Shafali Varma, Sneh Rana, and Taniya Bhatia are some of the national Indian cricketers who will be battling it out in Pune’s MCA stadium. The teams are also sprinkled with some overseas greats like Sophie Ecclestone, Deandra Dottin, Laura Wolvaardt. Hayley Matthews, Kathryn Cross, Salma Khatum and Sophia Brown.

    Each of the teams will play a match against the other, with the top two sides featuring in the final on 28 May.  

    Star Sports has launched a promo film in two languages (Hindi and Telugu) ahead of the start of the tournament. Created and conceptualised by the in-house team of Disney Star, it features Bollywood star Taapsee Pannu.

    Mumbai: Star Sports 1 Hindi was the most watched channel across India over the last five weeks among Males 15+ AB Urban, as per data by Broadcast Audience Research Council (Barc). The data released was for week 13 to week 17 i.e., from 26 March to 29 April.

    The gain in viewership for Star Sports 1 Hindi coincides with the time it began airing the popular Tata IPL 2022 on 26 March. Star Sports 1 Hindi was the most watched channel among the core audience for sports programming i.e., Male 15+ AB Urban across India and Star Sports 1 English was the most watched channel for this target audience in the English genre.

    As per the data, Star Sports 1 Hindi garnered 480 (000) average minute audience (AMA) in Week 13 that increased to a high of 542 (000) AMA in Week 15 (TG: All India Male 15+ AB Urban). In the English genre, Star Sports 1 English garnered 52 (000) AMA in Week 13 that grew to a high of 59 (000) AMA in Week 15. (TG: Male 15+ AB Urban)

    Star Sports launches promo film ahead of Australian GP

    Mumbai: Star Sports has launched a promo film ahead of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix. The race will be broadcasted on Star Sports Select and Disney+ Hotstar on 10 April starting at 10:30 a.m.

    Titled “The Hunter Will Be Hunted,” the promo film emphasises how the hunt for supremacy is back on track as the challengers will look to hunt down and stop Max Verstappen and take his spot at the top of the F1 pyramid, according to the broadcaster.

    Seven-time driver’s world champion Hamilton who dominated the sport for the last decade was beaten by Max Verstappen in the 2021 season in one of the most dramatic finishes to an F1 season in Abu Dhabi last year.

    The promo film also highlights the new feature of the 2022 racing cars that will allow for closer racing and the potential for overtakes. The new season has brought with it new rules, and new drivers in various teams all of whom are gunning for the reigning champion Verstappen.

    This season, attention is drawn towards the front of the grid where Ferrari and Red Bull have performed well in the first two race weekends. In the opening race of the season at the Bahrain Grand Prix, Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr pulled off a 1-2 finish. In the following race in Saudi Arabia, Max Verstappen grabbed a thrilling win for Red Bull edging Ferrari by 0.5 seconds.

    The Australian GP will be held at the Melbourne Circuit after a two-year hiatus. Hamilton and Mercedes have had a rocky start and the focus will also be on whether they will make a strong comeback during the Australian GP.

    Mumbai: Streaming platform YuppTV has bagged the international broadcasting rights of Tata IPL 2022 in 99 countries. This is its fifth consecutive year for the platform to stream the tournament abroad.

    The matches will be broadcast in the regions of Australia, Continental Europe, South East Asia (except Singapore), Malaysia, Central and South America, Central Asia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Japan, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives etc.

    “Cricket has always been a massive crowd-puller and IPL has reimagined the format and the excitement associated with it,” said YuppTV founder and CEO Uday Reddy. “In alignment with the objective of bringing cricket to the masses, we are delighted to be the streaming platform of choice in expanding the outreach to 99 nations across the globe. We are ensuring that our robust backend technology will support uninterrupted, real-time streaming of the sport that puts India on the world map with respect to international leagues.”

    Tata IPL 2022, which began airing on 26 March, marks the debut of two new franchises Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) along with the existing franchises Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals (DC), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Mumbai Indians (MI), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

    The league matches will be held at Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, and MCA International Stadium in Pune. The tournament comprises 74 matches this season.
