    Star Wars: Complete Saga is back on Star Movies!

    MUMBAI: Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace is starting on 14 January at 12 noon, and Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones on 15 January at the same time.

    From 1977 to 2017, Star Wars, a space film series created by George Lucas of “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away” famous for its innumerable fans following The Complete Saga religiously. In first place this film series has multiple characters and secondly each character has its own little or big story which draws attention of the viewers. 

    There are so many facts about the Star wars that people love to debate. Merchandise like light saber, T-shirts, Star Wars Character figurines and bobble heads have always remained I the shelves of every 90s kid until now. With the Star Wars Saga making a comeback on Star Movies, a quikc look at some of the mind boggling facts of the Star Wars Saga.

    . Anthony Daniels, who voiced C3P0 and climbed into the tin suit, is the only actor to appear in all 8 Star Wars films
    . Bail Organa and Yoda step into the hallway of Organa’s ship and have a nice coversation about being rebels or something in Sith. It’s the actual ship that Darth Vader boards to capture Princess Leia Organa in the start of A New Hope.
    . Clones age TWICE as fast as normal.
    . According to Animation Director Rob Coleman, not a single clone trooper suit was ever built. Every single clone trooper seen in the film is computer generated, with motion capture performed by ILM employees, wearing only the helmet and sometimes the footwear of the suit. The rest is complete CG.
    . In Jedi, listen very carefully as Darth Vader picks up the Emperor and throws him down the Death Star shaft. This is the only time the Jedi theme music plays over a shot of Vader, reflecting his return to the light side of the Force. 
    . Princess Leia was subject to one of the most famous ad libs in cinema history – that being Han Solo’s response to her declaration of love – “I know”. Harrison Ford apparently made it up at Irvine Kershner’s suggestion. Leia got to return the line in Jedi during the Battle of Endor.

    Star Movies Action exits; AXN dominates English Entertainment genre

    MUMBAI: Star Movies Action, after its debut in week 50 data, made an exit in this week’s ratings making way for the entry of Movies Now 2. The English movies genre witnessed an increase in its viewership led by Sony Pix. The channels in the English entertainment genre witnessed mixed ratings with AXN dominating the space. Colors Infinity SD replaced Colors Infinity HD in this week’s ratings.

    According to the week 51 ratings data of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India, Discovery Channel continued to be at the number one place. The channels in the Infotainment space observed mixed ratings this week.

    Living Foodz stood at the number one position in the lifestyle genre.

    English Entertainment

    AXN toppled Star Movies dominating the genre with 237 Impressions (‘000s) followed by Comedy Central at the number two slot with 215 Impressions (‘000s). Star World with 212 Impressions (‘000s) and Zee Café with 206 Impressions (‘000s) were at the third and fourth position, respectively. Colors Infinity SD sustained at the fifth spot with 75 Impressions (‘000s).

    English Movies

    Sony Pix replaced Movies Now taking the number one position with 2706 Impressions (‘000s). Movies Now with 2455 Impressions (‘000s) stood at the number two position. Star Movies with 2230 Impressions (‘000s) grabbed the third position followed by Movies Now 2 at the fourth position with 1584 Impressions (‘000s). HBO took the fifth place with 1504 Impressions (‘000s).

    Infotainment

    Discovery Channel dominated the genre with 4838 Impressions (‘000s). History TV18 stood at the second spot with 4009 Impressions (‘000s). National Geographic with 2692 Impressions (‘000s) and Animal Planet with 2686 Impressions (‘000s) took the third and fourth position, respectively. Nat Geo Wild stood at the fifth position with 2628 Impressions (‘000s).

    Lifestyle

    Living Foodz grabbed the number one position with 1677 Impressions (‘000s). Fox Life took the second berth with 731 Impressions (‘000s) followed by Food Food  with 671 Impressions (‘000s). TLC with 581 Impressions (‘000s) and FYI TV18 with 398 Impressions (‘000s) bagged the fourth and fifth position, respectively.

    This Christmas, jingle all the way with all the Christmas Specials from favorite shows -F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Community, Citizen Khan and the Mindy Project as Comedy Central airs back-to-back, hand-picked Christmas episodes from the shows. The shows will be aired from 25 December 10 am onwards.

    Once Christmas hits the channel, the laughter-riot won’t stop until 2017! Countdown to the New Year, with a special show every day like The Detour, Episodes, Younger, Angie Tribeca, The Carmichael Show, Superstore, and Impastor.
