    Whiplash will air on 14 May at 9 pm whereas Fantastic Four will be broadcasted on 15 May at 1 pm with a repeat telecast t 9 pm. 

    On Saturday, 14 May, Star Movies Select HD brings to us an exhilarating drama from ayoung American Director Damien Chazelle – a tale that challenges the common portrayals of a relationship between a mentor andhis student. The story of Whiplash portrays the clash between the passion of a 19 year old drummer and the obsession of an eccentric mentor – Terence Fletcher. It’s no wonder that J.K. Simmons who played the conductor went on to win an Academy Award for his performance. The movie went on to win a total of 87 awards in 2015.

    On Sunday, 15 May prepare yourself to face an unstoppable force with four accidental superheroes fighting to save the Earth, on the television premiere of Fantastic Four. This story is a stark departure for one of the most popular franchise as it showcases a fresh perspective to the famed superheroes.

When the world faces total annihilation at the hands of one incredibly powerful foe, it’s time to assemble all against one. The devious Ultron wants to break earth’s mightiest superheroes, but together they will stand tall against all odds and with the help of every movie lover in India they will look to prevail on Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron on 24 April at 1 pm and 9 pm only on Star Movies.

That’s exactly what the marketing blitzkrieg by Star Movies is going achieved on  20 and 21 April at the Phoenix Mills, Lower Parel. Life Sized figurines of the Hulk, Captain America, Thor and Iron Man were flown down to India to create the spectacular scene of the movie where the 4 super heroes fight the mighty Ultron. Fans of the franchise came in huge numbers to get a picture with their favorite super hero. Singer and Radio personality Mihir Joshi came in amongst huge numbers waiting to see one of their favorite singers support his favorite avenger. Mihir Joshi came dressed for the occasion in a casual jeans and a black avenger’s t shirt. Amidst a huge roar came one of the music industry’s most famous personalities Shibani Kashyap. It came in as a surprise that she was a huge fan of Captain America and she quoted that she couldn’t wait to watch the movie on Sunday.

    A high decibel omnipresent Outdoor messaging was set across India that urges all fans to assemble against Ultron. To support this spectacular campaign, branding and partnerships in Gold’s Gym outlets, Crossword Bookstores, Café Coffee Day and PVR Cinemas were set up across India. The radio campaign boomed with the voice of superheroes announcing the date when all the Avengers will assemble against their one foe.

    MUMBAI: Comedy Central regained its first position in the English entertainment genre, while Zee Café saw a major downfall. Movies Now secured its number one spot in English movies genre. According to week 13 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India ratings across 6 Mega Cities: NCCS AB: 4+ Individuals, the English entertainment space witnessed a decline in the ratings this week.

    English Entertainment

    Comedy Central stood at the number one position with 192 (‘000s) while AXN climbed up the row with 149 (‘000s) to the second place. The third position was secured by Star World with 144 (‘000s) while Zee Café held the forth position with 125 (‘000s). Colors Infinity SD grabbed the fifth position with 86 (‘000s).

    English Movies

    Movies Now continued its stay at the first place with 3378 (‘000s). Star Movies with 2828 (‘000s) and Sony Pix with 1621 (‘000s) grabbed the second and the third positions respectively. Zee Studio secured the fourth position with 1361 (‘000s) followed by HBO with 1295 (‘000s) at the fifth place.

According to week 11 Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) All India data, the English GEC space observed a decline in the ratings.

    Meanwhile, the English movies space saw a mixed bag of ratings in this week’s data.

    Comedy Central witnessed a downfall in ratings but maintained its first position with 217 (‘000s) as compared to 302 (‘000s) in week 10. Star World toppled AXN securing the second position with 157 (‘000s) followed by AXN with 155 (‘000s). Zee Cafe with 133 (‘000s) and Colors Infinity SD with 59 (‘000s) secured the fourth and fifth position respectively.

    English Movies

    Movies Now continued at its number one spot observing an increase in the ratings with 4143 (‘000s) as compared to 2969 (‘000s) in week 10. Star Movies saw a decline in the ratings but maintained its second position with 2344 (‘000s). Zee Studio climbed up the row grabbing the third slot with 1727 (‘000s)  from fifh place in week 10, followed by Sony Pix at the fourth position with 1531 (‘000s).  HBO bagged the fifth position with 1475 (‘000s).

Star World grabbed the third position with 119 (‘000s) followed by Zee Cafe with a decline in the viewership at the fourth place with 112 (‘000s). Colors Infinity SD secured its fifth berth with 63 (‘000s).
