    Mumbai: Maintaining last week’s lead at the top position, Sun TV bagged 2844.7 AMA in week 41 (between 9-15 October) according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (Barc) data. Star Plus stood second with 2506.37 (‘000s) AMA, while Star Maa finished third at 2348.62 (‘000s).

    Star Sports 1 Hindi, Star Vijay, Star Utsav, Colors, Sony SAB, Zee Kannada, and Zee Telugu grabbed the remaining slots.

    With weekly AMAs of 512.65, Sun TV led the mega cities. Star Vijay, Star Plus, Colors, and Star Sports 1 Hindi followed.

    The south market was also dominated by the Tamil major at 2837.61 AMA. Star Maa, Star Vijay, Zee Kannada, Zee Telugu were at number two to five, respectively.

    Among the regional markets, Star Pravah was the most viewed channel in Maharashtra/Goa with 1347.61 (‘000s), Star Jalsha (1004.82) in West Bengal, Tarang in Odisha (446.41), Zee Kannada (1540.89) in Karnataka, and Star Utsav in Rajasthan ((224.04) and UP/Uttarakhand (338.4).

    Mumbai: Star Maa, the Telugu GEC from Star Network has toppled Tamil GEC Sun TV to emerge as the top channel in the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India list for week 36 (4-10 September).

    The channel recorded weekly AMAs of 2838.83 as against 2494.98 AMAs in week 35 when it was at the third spot. Hindi GEC Star Plus found itself at the second position with 2817.67 (‘000s) AMA, followed by Sun TV which finished third with 2789.9 AMA.

    The last few weeks have witnessed a tough competition between Sun TV and Star Plus, slugging it out for the top spot in the BARC list of most-viewed channels. Colors, Star Vijay, Star Utsav, Sony SAB, Zee Telugu, Sony Pal, and Zee Kannada grabbed the remaining positions.

    However, in the megacities, Sun TV was able to retain its top position with 510.04 AMA. Star Plus, Colors, Star Vijay, and Sony SAB followed in that order.

    The South market maintained last week’s status with Sun TV leading at 2784.92 AMA. It was followed by Star Maa, Star Vijay, Zee Telugu, and Zee Kannada.

    In Maharashtra/Goa, audiences showed a clear preference for Star Pravah as the channel registered weekly AMAs of 1434.7 (‘000s). With 1068.12 AMA, Star Jalsha led the Bengal market. Tarang, at 417.1 AMA was the most viewed channel in Odisha, Zee Kannada (1470.42) in Karnataka, Star Utsav (256.75) in Rajasthan, and Zee Anmol (361.09) in UP/Uttarakhand.

    Mumbai: Tamil GEC Sun TV continues to dominat the list of top ten most viewed channels in week 35 with 2785.23 AMA, according to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India. Gaining hold on the second and third positions were Star Plus and Star Maa (Telugu) with weekly AMAs of 2708.94 and 2494.98 respectively, between 28 August and 3 September.

    Sony SAB, Colors, Star Vijay (Tamil), Star Utsav, Zee Telugu, Zee TV, and Zee Kannada followed in that order.

    In the mega cities, Sun TV dominated the charts again, recording a weekly AMA of 472.08 (000s). Star Plus, Colors, Star Vijay, and Sony SAB grabbed the remaining four spots.

    The South market too was led by Sun TV at 2779.3 AMA. It was followed by Star Maa, Star Vijay, Zee Telugu, and Zee Kannada.

    Star Pravah led the Maharashtra/Goa market with 1457.01AMA. At 1156.05, Star Jalsha was the most viewed channel in West Bengal, Tarang in Odisha (452.8), Zee Kannada in Karnataka (1495.16), Star Utsav in Rajasthan (231.84), and Zee Anmol (330.45) in Uttar Pradesh/Uttarakhand.

    Mumbai: The fifth edition of ‘Bigg Boss Telugu’ has created quite a buzz ever since it premiered on Star Maa on 5 September. The official logo launch has reached over 16.2 million viewers on social media, and the promo launched with the theme – “Boredom ki cheppey goodbye, vachesindi #BiggBossTelugu Season 5!” (goody bye to boredom, Bigg Boss Telugu Season 5 is here!) has also garnered over 2.3 million views on YouTube.

    South Indian superstar Nagarjuna returns as a host for the reality show, which began with spectacular performances on Sunday. Several celebrities including Ravi, Shanmugh, and Dance Master Natraj have already entered the house.

    According to the channel, not just viewers, even brands had been awaiting the show’s launch for reaching audiences in key states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This holds true for national and local advertisers looking to make inroads before the approaching festive season. Sponsors who have been part of ‘Bigg Boss’ in the past four seasons and have experienced the power of this platform first-hand are already on board. Currently, over 20 brands have signed up on the show, the channel said on Thursday.

    According to TTK Prestige, DGM-Marketing, Ankur Agarwal, ‘Bigg Boss Telugu’ has been one of the most spectacular shows past all seasons and has great brand engagement. The brand has signed up to jointly co-present the show. “The longevity of the show and its entertainment value is one of the most attractive propositions.     According to BARC data for Week 36'20, Star Maa continues to dominate the Telugu GEC . Bigg Boss Telugu Season 4 launch got massive ratings. This is one of the most successful launch of the reality show. This Season started with a bang. Termed as one of the most successful launch , the launch episode saw 4.5 crore viewers tuning  to Star Maa in the 1st week of launch according to the data released by BARC India. 

    This Season of Bigg Boss launch was the highest-rated season ever. The launch episode garnered 18.5 TVR, not only making it the highest-rated launch episode across non-fiction shows of the category (in the BARC universe) but also the highest-rated launch episode in the history of Bigg Boss Telugu (since BB Season 1).
