    MUMBAI: Colors displaced Sony Sab to bag the second spot on pay platform in Week 40 (Saturday 3 October 2020 to Friday 9 October 2020) of Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC) data. Sony Entertainment Television slipped down to sixth position in pay platform and urban market. Sony Sab secured fourth spot in urban market.

    Pay Platform

    On Pay platform Star Plus, Colors, Sony Sab, Zee TV, Star Utsav, Sony Entertainment Television, Sony Pal, Star Bharat, Colors Rishtey and Dangal were the top 10 channels in week 40 of BARC India ratings.

    Urban 

    In the urban market, the top ten channels were Star Plus, Colors, Star Utsav, Sony Sab, Zee TV, Sony Entertainment Television, Sony Pal, Colors Ristey,  Dangal, and Zee Anmol are in week 40 of BARC India ratings.

    Rural

    Star Utsav, Zee Anmol, Sony Pal,  Dangal, Colors Rishtey, Star Plus, Zee TV, Big Magic, Colors and Sony Sab and were the top ten channels in the rural market.

    Free Platform

    On the Free platform Star Utsav, Zee Anmol, Sony Pal, Colors Rishtey, Dangal, Big Magic, Shemaroo TV, DD National, DD Bharati and DD Retro were the top ten channels in week 40 of BARC India ratings.

    BARC week 39: Sony Entertainment Television edges out Star Utsav on the pay platform

    MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television has replaced Star Utsav as the channel with the fifth highest ratings on the pay platform, according to Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC) data. The report takes into account figures for week 39, or the period between 26 September and 2 October 2020.

    In the urban market, Colors has slipped to the fourth position. 

    Pay Platform

    Star Plus retained first place on pay platform, with Sony Sab, Colors, Zee TV, Sony Entertainment Television, Star Utsav, Sony Pal, Star Bharat, Dangal and Colors Rishtey rounding out the top ten.

    Urban

    In the urban market, the ten leading channels were Star Plus, Sony Sab,Star Utsav,Colors,Sony Entertainment Television, Zee TV, Sony Pal,Colors Ristey,Dangal, and Star Bharat during week 39 of BARC India ratings.

    Rural

    The top ten channels in the rural market are: Star Utsav, Zee Anmol,Sony Pal, Dangal,Colors Rishtey, Star Plus,Big Magic,Zee TV,Sony Sab and Colors.

    Free Platform

    On the Free platform, Star Utsav, Zee Anmol, Dangal, Sony Pal, Colors Rishtey, Big Magic, Shemaroo TV, DD National, DD Bharati and DD Retro were the top ten channels in week 39 of BARC India ratings.

    BARC week 38: Colors secures third spot in urban market & pay platform

    MUMBAI: Colors has made a comeback in the list of top three channels on pay platform and urban market and has replaced Zee TV to be on the third spot in week 38, (Saturday, 19 September 2020 to Friday 25 September 2020) of Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC) data. 

    Dangal has climbed up to be on the ninth position in week 38 as compared to being on the tenth position in week 37.

    On Pay platform Star Plus, Sony Sab, Colors, Zee TV, Star Utsav, Sony Entertainment Television, Sony Pal, Star Bharat, Dangal and Colors Rishtey were the top ten channels in the week 38 of BARC India ratings.

    BARC week 36: Sony SAB replaces Zee TV on the pay platform

    MUMBAI: Sony SAB has replaced Zee TV to secure second position on the pay platform however it continues to remain on third spot in the urban market in week 36 of 2020 (Saturday 5 September 2020 to Friday 11 September 2020) of Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC) data. Dangal makes a comeback on the top 10 list of channels on the pay platform but slips down from being in the ninth spot  in week 35 of BARC India data to tenth position in week 36.

    MUMBAI: Father, a son’s first hero. But can this hero be his friend too? Will an attempt at friendship spoil or enrich the lives of a father and son? Sony SAB’s latest offering, Tera Yaar Hoon Main seeks to address this new age dilemma in a light-hearted and Indian family backdrop. The show features a stellar line-up including Ssudeep Sahir, Rajendra Chawla, Shweta Gulati, Ansh Sinha, Meghan Jadhav, Jaya Ojha amongst others and is all set to premiere on 31 August 2020 at 9 pm only on Sony SAB

    Produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions, Tera Yaar Hoon Main is built on the lives of Jaipur’s Bansal family, the show draws inspiration from the evolving times and its effect on each generation in a family. Rajeev (Ssudeep Sahir) regrets not having an open and friendly relationship with his father, the patriarch i.e. Pratap Bansal (Rajendra Chawla) and does not want it to be the same with his teenage son, Rishabh (Ansh Sinha). To drive home the uniqueness and freshness of this subject, Sony SAB has brought on board Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan to endorse the show and truly bring out the intricacies of a father-son relationship through a series of warm and endearing memories of his relationship with his own father.
