  • #NazariyaBadaliye says Sony Entertainment Television

    #NazariyaBadaliye says Sony Entertainment Television

MUMBAI: With time, our society has been evolving. Women today have proved themselves across sectors… even the male dominated ones. But it hasn’t been easy. From amongst the overall workforce, women represent a minimum percentage and hence as we go up the career ladder it falls further. Why isn’t their qualifications and skill set the only criteria for their progress? It is imperative that we change our perspective towards women at large and not judge them by the responsibilities they might have. Sony Entertainment Television encapsulates this thought beautifully through Patiala Babes and has kickstarted a campaign this Women’s Day – #NazariyaBadaliye.

‘Nazariya Badaliye’ simply means ‘Change your Perspective’. Weaving in this thought seamlessly through the narrative of Patiala Babes, the protagonists Babita and Mini face the society and the challenges at hand with their heads held high. Why is the society reluctant in hiring a middle-aged single mother Babita, who has no work experience despite having the right qualifications? Why does she have to face resistance from her male co-workers when she has equal skill set like them? Why does a teenager like Mini, who has been brought up single-handedly by her mother need her father’s name to get into a good college? Going forward, the show will raise similar issues that are extremely relatable in the current scenario.

Starting today, Sony Entertainment Television urges you to #NazariyaBadaliye. Not just on one day but all 365 days of the year.

The Kapil Sharma Show makes a comeback on Sony Entertainment Television

MUMBAI: India’s favourite comedian, who has become an integral part of people’s lives, Kapil Sharma is back on Sony Entertainment Television with a brand-new edition of The Kapil Sharma Show. Produced by Salman Khan Television (SK TV) and Banijay Asia, The Kapil Sharma Show promises fun-filled entertaining weekends starting 29th December every Sat-Sun at 9:30PM on Sony Entertainment Television.

This time around, Kapil will be seen running a ‘Salha Center’ (Consultancy Business) in a Mohollah with absurd characters. The wealthy dairy kingpin Bachcha Yadav (Kiku Sharda) with his dominating wife Titli Yadav (Bharti Singh) have rented out houses within a mohollah where Kapil Sharma, one of the tenants, runs his consultancy business. To avoid rent, Kapil has made Bachcha his business partner. The other tenants in the Mohollah – essayed by popular comic talent in the industry like Chandan Prabhakar, Krushna Abhishek, Sumona Chakravarti and Rochelle Rao amongst others, are full of quirks and don’t shy away from their antics either.  With celebrities gracing every episode, The Kapil Sharma Show promises candid banter and unlimited entertainment every weekend. The first weekend will see the cast of Simmba – Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood along with director Rohit Shetty grace the stage followed by the Khan brothers – Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan along with Salim Khan in the following weekend.

The wait is finally over for the Kapil Sharma fans as he returns to television with renewed energy and vigour. After a long hiatus, Kapil, Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar, Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek will be seen performing together packing punches after punches for the audience. Navjot Singh Sidhu will be seen in his elements making appropriate remarks with his trademark ‘shayaris’.
