    Mumbai: A pioneer in presenting stories set in the milieu of diverse backdrops with memorable characters, Sony Entertainment Television is all set to introduce viewers to the feisty and fearless, Arya, in its upcoming fiction launch, ‘Dabangii – Mulgi Aayi Re Aayi’. Premiering on 30 October 2023, this entertaining drama will air every Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm, promising audiences a riveting tale of a daughter’s quest to find and unite with her father, entering a world with hidden secrets and entangled relationships that will turn her life upside down.

    A remarkable ensemble, featuring Maahi Bhadra, Sai Deodhar, Aamir Dalvi, and Manav Gohil, will breathe life into the captivating characters of the show, each exploring the multifaceted layers of human emotion and the eternal battle between good and evil. Arya, portrayed by Maahi Bhadra, believes her father is a supercop and is away on a mission, which is why she has never met him, but she is unaware of her true lineage. She is in fact the daughter of the enigmatic and power-wielding Satya, played by Aamir Dalvi, which is a truth that her mother, Chhaya, played by Sai Deodhar, has hidden from Arya. Manav Gohil plays Senior Inspector Ankush Rajyavadhkar, who is Satya’s brother, and he is unknowingly the physical manifestation of what Arya imagines her father to be, and it will be interesting for viewers to witness how their lives intertwine.

    ‘Dabangii – Mulgii aayi re aayi’ is a unique story of two contrasting ideologies, that of an amoral brother, Satya (Aamir Dalvi) and Ankush (Manav Gohil), with a steadfast moral approach to life, which collides with Arya taking center stage.

    Nina Elavia Jaipuria bids adieu to Viacom18

    Mumbai: Nina Elavia Jaipuria, Viacom18’s head of Hindi Mass Entertainment & Kids TV network, has parted ways with the company after 17 years.

    Jaipuria joined Viacom18 in 2006 as the business head of Nickelodeon. Since then, she has played a pivotal role in the expansion of the network’s kids cluster. Prior to joining Viacom18, she has worked for Sony Entertainment Television for over three years as vice president of marketing & communication.

    A Viacom18 spokesperson said, “After 17 years of leading the pivotal businesses of Kids Entertainment and Hindi Mass Entertainment at Viacom18, Nina Elavia Jaipuria will be moving on from the company to pursue her individual goals at the close of this calendar year. A reflection of women’s strides in contemporary times, the show stars Sumbul Touqeer Khan in the titular role as Kavya Bansal, who is driven by the sole purpose to be an IAS Officer and serve the common man.     Mumbai: Sony Entertainment Television is all set to launch season 13 of its flagship singing reality show, Indian Idol. The show will premiere on 10 September and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 p.m.

    This year’s campaign “Phir saath aane ka bahana hai, ab mausam musicana hai” brought alive the celebration of music and togetherness.

    The show will be hosted by Aditya Narayan and the ultimate trio – Himesh Reshammiya, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani – will reprise their roles as judges once again. The channel noted that they are here to make the ‘mausam musicana!’

    Mumbai: Celebrating food, togetherness and diversity, Sony Entertainment Television embarks on an appetising journey as it acquires the rights for the Indian adaptation of the internationally revered culinary reality format, “MasterChef”, produced and distributed by Endemol Shine India.

    The show has been airing on StarPlus ever since it was adapted from the original international version, produced by EndemolShine India.

    The Indian version of MasterChef is based on the Australian show, MasterChef Australia, which itself is based on the original British MasterChef, created by Franc Rodaam. It is a top-rated show across the globe, from the UK to Australia, France to Israel, Italy to the Middle East, India and beyond.

    The show has been wowing audiences for more than thirty years. It is produced in over 50 countries worldwide and broadcast in over 200 territories, with over 64 local versions and more than 10,000 episodes, with over 500 milestone seasons.     Mumbai: Sony Pictures Networks (SPN) India head content for Sonyliv & Sony Entertainment Television Ashish Golwalkar has decided to move on. He completed his six-year association with the channel successfully.  

    At SPN, he was responsible for the content programming on its flagship general entertainment channel (GEC) Sony Entertainment Television (SET) and its OTT platforms Sonyliv. While he was at Sony, it rolled out hit web series such as Scam: 1992, Rocket Boys, Undekhi, Avrodh, Gullak, Tabbar, The Whistleblower, Cubicles among others. He also was behind Shark Tank India and the revival of Indian Idol on SET.

    Golwalkar has more than 24 years of experience in sales and marketing, content syndication, brand management and content creation. He wrote/co-wrote multiple award-winning non-scripted formats during his association with leading broadcasters Sony Pictures Networks, Zee Entertainment Enterprises and Star India (Disney Star).
