    Zee Tamil to produce Season 3 and 4 of DNA in India

    MUMBAI: Zee Tamil, a general entertainment channel of the Zeel group has bought the format DNA to India for the third time in a row. The Singapore based content distribution and production agency Bomanbridge Media announced the renewal deal with Zee Tamil, for seasons 3 and 4 of the hit family game show format.  Renewal of Season 2 was announced in the January of this year. 

    Zee Tamil will produce another 26 episodes each for season 3 and season 4 of the show. This simple and fun game show divides parents on one side and children of any age on the other side of the studio.  The contestant stands in the middle and has to play the game of matching the parents and children together through entertaining and unexpected challenges. Every day, a prize is awarded to the person who manages to identify all the pairs.

    This show has been produced in Spain, Italy, India and Indonesia. DNA. is currently one of the top-rated game shows on TV across Tamil Nadu in India.

    MUMBAI: Singapore based production and distribution agency Bomanbridge Media has inked a deal with NBCUniversal International Networks (NBCU) for pan Asian broadcast of the Canadian cooking competition show Chef in Your Ear. The new show will air on Diva channel.

    Chef in Your Ear will feature two award winning chefs being challenged every week to deliver a dish. The dishes have to be prepared, cooked and plated by a complete kitchen novice, wearing an earpiece, and taking instructions from their mentor chef.

    The chefs can see, hear and talk to their rookies, but they can’t smell, taste or touch the food.

    Bomanbridge Media CEO Sonia Fleck said, “Bomanbridge is pleased to bring NBCU the entertaining hit series, Chef in Your Ear. This hot cooking competition show, which is also a format, is enjoying tremendous success on important channel brands such as Food Network in Canada, and CJ Media in South Korea.     The show is also available as a format. CJ E&M from South Korea recently renewed the format for a second season, and is currently on air with its first season.

    Mongol TV Mongolia also licensed the format.

    Bomanbridge Media to bring Korean dramas to Mongolia

    MUMBAI:Singapore-based production/distribution agency, Bomanbridge Media has acquired  several popular Korean dramas to bring into Mongolia. The production house has closed deals with major Korean broadcasters like KBS and SBS to get broadcast rights of dramas like The Producers, Unkind Ladies, The Mask and The Gang Doctor, among others.

    “Bomanbridge is strategically moving into developing Asian countries and we strongly believe in the growth of the Mongolian television landscape.  Korean broadcasters such as KBS and SBS are well recognized brands, and increasingly around the globe, as top Korean producers of drama. As Mongolians have an increasing appetite for well-produced content, we are happy to deliver the best,” said Bomanbridge Media CEO Sonia Fleck.

    KBS sold the Mongolian rights to dramas The Producers starring Soo Hyun Kim, IU and Gong Yo Jin, Unkind Ladies: a drama series about four women of three generations trying to live their lives together, The Man in the Mask : a Korean version of The Legend of Zorro; and Who Are You – School 2015: A realistic teen drama.

    SBS sold rights for four of its popular shows including Heard It Through the Grapevine, A Girl Who Can See Smell, The Mask, and The Gang Doctor.

    Bomanbridge Media picks game show format ‘The 20 Little Piggy Banks’ for Asia

    MUMBAI: Singapore-based production/distribution agency,  Bomanbridge Media, has picked up the rights to license game show format. The 20 Little Piggy Banks for Asia.  The programme was created by Spanish producer Phileas Productions.The 20 Little Piggy Banks was piloted in France, aired in Indonesia and is currently optioned in Turkey.Additionally, 7A Media is representing the show in LatAm.

    In The 20 Little Piggy Banks game show, contestants compete to win grand prizes hidden in personalised banks. Players aim to accumulate as many “piggies” as possible by answering general knowledge questions. In the endgame all remaining piggies will be smashed to pieces to reveal the prizes. Along the way, there is the chance that contestants could leave empty-handed if they stumble across a black coin.

    Zee Tamil acquires ‘DNA’ format rights from Bomanbridge Media

    MUMBAI: In a first for the channel, Zee Tamil has licensed the format of a show called DNA from the Singapore-based distribution and production agency, Bomanbridge Media.

     

    The channel will produce 26 episodes of the show in Tamil. The format has previously been produced in Spain, Italy, Portugal and Indonesia.

     

    Additionally, Bomanbridge Media has also inked a format deal with Vietnam’s Lasta Multimedia, which has licensed Beauty Academy created by A2G Creations. The format of Beauty Academy was previously sold in China on Dragon TV, and in Brazil on Globo TV.

     

    “The ultimate test for an international TV format is in its ability to travel to distant lands, take on local flavours without losing its fundamental characteristics. We’re delighted that TV networks in South Asia are increasingly looking to us to bring them these winning formulas for non-fiction programming,” said Bomanbridge South Asia office head Arpit Agarwal.

     

    “Bomanbridge Media has licensed other successful formats in the region such as NHK’s Dr. What and Miss Country Girl to China and are pleased to add the popular formats, Beauty Academy and DNA to the list.     Mongolian broadcaster acquires telecast rights to Korean dramas

    MUMBAI: Singapore based international distributor and production agency, Bomanbridge Media, has signed several deals with broadcasters while renewing the contracts with their old partners in the Asian region. 

     

    The move also allowed Mongolian Education Channel TV to buy several popular South Korean dramas like Hyde The Jekyll and Temptation produced by Seoul Broadcasting Systems (SBS); and Secret Love and Spy  produced by Korea Broadcasting System (KBS) from Bomanbridge Media.

     

    “Bomanbridge Media is very excited to announce several deals with many of our long-time broadcast partners as well as new clients from the ever-expanding Asian region. We are pleased to deliver many top quality programs which are sure to entertain and attract many viewers,” said Bomanbridge Media, CEO Sonia Fleck.

    What’s more, the acquisitions didn’t stop at that. Bomanbridge Media also signed deals with Vietnam Television and KBS in South Korea to acquire 34 hours and 7 hours, respectively, of documentary programming while Shanghai Media Group’s Channel ICS bought the popular sports series Epic TV.

    MUMBAI: Singapore-based content distribution agency Bomanbridge Media as part of its Asia expansion has opened an office in Mumbai. It will be headed by TV veteran Arpit Agarwal as Bomanbridge Media director of sales for South Asia.

     

    India is the fourth country in Asia where the company will have a base, after recently launching offices in Korea and Mongolia, in addition to its headquarters in Singapore. The further expansion follows recent investment by Hera Capital, which is also funding the company’s international lifestyle and cooking show Haute & Saucy with Kelly Randall Sia.

     

    Agarwal, who has worked in various capacities at Fremantle India, Balaji Telefilms, Bang Singapore and Sahara One, comes with over 18 years of experience in creating and managing both mass and niche television content in India and in Singapore. He also headed business development at Starcut Asia Pacific – a Nokia subsidiary and is credited for creating Singapore’s first made-for-mobile series Kumarsutra.  Agarwal began his career as a reporter, producer and host at NDTV in New Delhi, India.
