  • Allied Media appoints Shilpa Dhanu as head M3 project & strategy team

    MUMBAI: Allied Media Network, the media planning, buying and evaluation arm of Percept, has appointed Shilpa Dhanu as Head – M3 Project & Strategy Team.

    In her new role, Shilpa Dhanu will be responsible for the Centralised Data Analytics Cell. Based in Mumbai, she will be reporting to Allied Media CEO Shripad Kulkarni and with a core team of senior and junior analysts will take care of research & analytical needs for clients across India.

    Shilpa‘s mandate is to assist and steer the strategy team of the company to newer heights. She also will be responsible in creating newer avenues and strategising various offerings of the company for the clients.

    Allied Media last year had launched Centralised Data Analytical Cell, a specialised vertical that leverages various strategic initiatives across all media companies of the Percept Group for the clients. It will conduct research and collating data on key sectors and industries on a round the clock basis.

    This data will help in giving a tailor made report to the client and will help in effectively measuring all their communication campaigns including ATL, BTL, Social Media, Word of Mouth and other vehicles optimally.

    The tools will help as a guide for advertisers of different sectors to effectively bifurcate their communication spends in various vehicles as per consumer behaviour & media efficacy.

  • Flying Cursor wins Bisleri’s social media biz

    MUMBAI: Mumbai-based digital creative agency Flying Cursor has won the social media mandate of Bisleri.

    The incumbent agency on the account was Digital Beehive.

    The mandate is to use social media platforms to create personal connections with fans of Bisleri and also make existing connections stronger.

    There wasn‘t any formal pitch that took place.

    Flying Cursor founder Parag Gandhi said, “Bisleri was looking for a social media agency. So we met up and they liked how we were approaching the brand on social media, and the personality we wanted to give it. We realised we were on the same page in regard to creating` a connect with our digital audience.”

    “The brand is synonymous with water. And as we all know water is the most basic yet most powerful element in our lives, which is probably why it has moved poets, film makers, writers, photographers. This will help us own lots of content, as well as use Bisleri to create a platform for creativity, art, culture and travel,” he added.

    The agency has also worked for Pritish Nandy Communications, Zicom, CFSI, and has handled projects for clients like Future Brands, Matsya and Childrens Film Society of India.

  • Nike rolls out ‘Find Your Greatness’ campaign

    MUMBAI: Nike, publicly traded clothing, footwear, sportswear, and equipment supplier, has launched its new ad campaign titled ‘Find Your Greatness‘.

    Wieden + Kennedy, Portland is the creative agency that has worked on the TVC campaign.

    The company feels that it‘s not just the championship athlete or record breaker that aspires to push their limits. It is also the everyday athlete who strives to excel on his own terms, to set and realise personal goals and achieve their own defining moment of greatness. The campaign intends to send a message to inspire anyone who wants to achieve their own moment of “greatness” in sport.

    The campaign broke through social media and digital channels, supported by a global YouTube homepage promotion. It is elevated by a global Twitter #findgreatness promoted hashtag to ignite conversation around how athletes everywhere find their own greatness. The ad film went on air on television in 25 countries.

    People who engage in the missions will be encouraged to share their activity and achievements through social media and this will then be displayed on the Nike+ Fuelstream an online stream of imagery and consumer comments. They will also be elevated through Nike‘s own social channels which will encourage users with replies and motivation, and ultimately help stimulate and drive users to achieve their “greatness”.

    The hub for this is nike.com/gameonworld, an online destination to share progress and success through a series of tools and digital services designed to make every athlete better.

  • Gozoop bags Pepperfry.com’s social media biz

    MUMBAI: Pepperfry.com, the eCommerce portal, has handed over its social media mandate to Gozoop Online.

    Based in Mumbai and Dubai, Gozoop is a digital marketing agency that has been helping brands with its online marketing services.

    The digital agency will spearhead the Facebook marketing strategy for Pepperfry and help them connect with their target. It will also ensure valuable inputs for key strategic decisions, in order to maintain sync between the online and offline activities.

    MUMBAI: Cycle Pure Agarbathies, the flagship incense sticks brand of NR Group, has appointed AliveNow as its social media agency.

    The account will be serviced by the agency‘s Bangalore office.

  • Windchimes Communications wins Yes Bank’s social media biz

    MUMBAI: Windchimes Communications has won the social media mandate for Yes Bank.

    The agency’s mandate is to set up and sustain the bank’s presence across different social media platforms.

    The bank has forayed into social media with an aim of connecting with their audience on all matters financial and to provide any kind of banking assistance for the new age Indian.

  • Magnon adds Haier’s social media biz to its kitty

    MUMBAI: Digital media agency Magnon Solutions has won the digital media account for Haier Appliances. The agency will manage the social media duties for the brand, apart from retaining its present set of services to Haier.

    Magnon has been responsible for developing and maintaining Haeir‘s website since 2008.

    The agency‘s duties will include strategising the social media to strengthen the consumer interaction and creating a face for the brand.

    Haier India head of marketing Shanta Roy Sanjeev said, “The consumer durable market in India is extremely competitive. To retain our edge, we need to listen to our customers and increasingly connect with them by opening new customer touch-points. This becomes a business critical feature for a market as huge as ours.   • Mindshare integrates Socialmedia8 to expand global social media footprint

    MUMBAI: Global media network Mindshare has integrated Amsterdam based Socialmedia8 into its network as a step towards expanding its footprint globally. Furthermore, Socialmedia8 founder Igor Beuker has been appointed as Mindshare‘s first global chief social officer and social agency M80‘s managing director Mark Evans is now Mindshare North America social lead.

    SocialMedia8 specialises in acquiring, managing, and extracting value from social fans and followers will bring social commerce, social TV, social gaming, social search and social CRM capabilities to Mindshare‘s portfolio of social media services.
    Beuker will report to Mindshare Worldwide global digital leader Norm Johnson and will be joining the agency with immediate effect. Beuker has earlier served as chief marketing officer at Scoot, TeliaSonera and Telefonica O2. He also founded community agency LaComunidad and social video metrics firm ViralTracker before setting up SocialMedia8.

    Evans will take up the post of managing director, social team at Mindshare North America and will head up social media campaigns for the agency‘s North American-based clients. Evans has extensive digital and social media experience and has served as vice president, digital, at Catapult Marketing and digital brand director at Euro RSCG prior to joining M80.

  • Intercontinental gets Cogmat to handle its social media duties

    MUMBAI: Digital agency Cogmat has been roped in by luxury hotel InterContinental Marine Drive to handle its social media mandate. This is a first for the Mumbai-based luxury hotel and the spends on social media are estimated to be 10 per cent of the total marketing budget for the digital medium.

    The core idea of the campaign will be to drive the brand message on the social media platform. No pitch was called for the account.

    Cogmat’s duties on the mandate include reviving the existent properties that Intercontinental Marine Drive on the social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. It will also be involved in enhancing the brand’s online reputation using social media and industry relevant websites such as Tripadvisor, Zomato, Burrp and Lonely Planet by answering guest queries and calling for customer feedback.

    Earlier this month, Neemrana Hotels hired Internet Moguls for search engine optimsation.

    Cogmat is a digital media agency based in Mumbai and Hong Kong. It works with companies from industry verticals like education, luxury hospitality, financial services, FMCG and retail. Its clients include Oxemberg, Eurokids, Welingkar Group of Institutes and Mufti.

  • Tim Guillois is Digitas India SVP social media

    MUMBAI: Digital marketing agency Digitas India has appointed Tim Guillois as the senior vice president for social media. He will report to Digitas India president Kanika Mathur.

    Guillois comes with over 13 years of experience in building brands using social media. He moves from Blogbang, a France-based social media agency.

    Guillois said, “I am honoured and excited to be a part of the Digitas India team. The digital space in India is unique and we are looking forward to developing services and models which are unique to India and at the same time bring-in the best of Digitas‘ best practices.”
