    MUMBAI: Reed MIDEM, the international trade show organiser has announced a strategic partnership with SmartJog, for SmartStand, a digital screening and distribution service at MIPCOM and MIPTV.
     
     

    “This partnership is specifically designed for our audio-visual content markets: MIPCOM, MIPCOM Junior, MIPTV and MIPDOC”, says Reed MIDEM television dvision director Paul Johnson.

    He adds, “Through this alliance and the development of the SmartStand, Reed MIDEM leverages the best technology to provide advanced digital screening and delivery solutions to our customers.”

    “SmartStand is a major step toward the tape-free future of the global television distribution business,” says SmartJog CEO Mark Rosenbaum.
     
     

    “We are excited to continue our partnership with Reed MIDEM and to play a bigger role in the industry’s most important TV markets, ” says Rosembaum.

    Reed MIDEM and SmartJog have teamed together to offer MIPCOM and MIPTV participants, a digital screening and distribution service called SmartStand.

    SmartStand enables exhibitors to eliminate the inconveniences and costs of dubbing, shipping, testing and rewinding the hundreds of tapes that a distributor typically uses during a market, informs an official release.

    This new system simply replaces TVs, VCRs and DVD players with LCD screens on which they will screen programmes for clients.

    Intelsat, SmartJog team for digital delivery of video content

    MUMBAI: Intelsat has announced that it is working with SmartJog, a global content distribution service provider, to provide digital store-and-forward delivery of video content over satellite to customers.
     

    Broadcasters and content owners in North America and Asia will able to use this service to distribute content to broadcasters and pay-TV platforms in the Asia-Pacific Region. This initiative builds on Intelsat’s strategic push into video solutions. By combining SmartJog’s digitised content with capacity on the Intelsat 701 satellite located at 180’E, the companies will offer a solution capable of replacing manual content delivery, saving broadcasters and distributors a significant amount of time and money by eliminating the need to ship video tapes through the mail.
