  • Sahara One’s ‘Woh Rehne…’ performs well in the 9 pm slot

    MUMBAI: Sahara One’s show Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki (WRWMK) from the Rajshri stable has been performing well with the female audiences in the 9 pm slot.

    According to an official communiqué citing Tam data, the show delivered sustained TVRs across four weekday nights Monday to Thursday, hitting a high of 3.4 TVRs. Amongst females 15-34, it recorded average TVRs of 5.1, ahead of Sony’s 4.1 and Zee TV’s 0.9.

    The corresponding channel share for SaharaOne stood at 16.59 per cent — ahead of Sony’s 13.8 per cent and Zee’s 2.99 per cent.
     
     

    SaharaOne Television has claimed the number two position amongst the GECs in the 9 – 9:30 pm slot on weekdays (Monday -Thursday).

    WRWMK with its 3.4 TVRs is positioned at 54 in top 100 TV ratings compared to Sony’s Fame Gurukul’s 56th position with 3.3 TVRs in all age group, said an official release.

  • Disney Channel to slot three movies a day

    MUMBAI: Disney Channel is banking on movies for luring in audiences, lining up 180 popular hits over two months.

    For the first time, The Lion King will be dubbed in Hindi and shown on 28 May at 6 pm.. The other legendary hits include Aladdin, Jungle Book, Treasure Island, Beauty and the Beast and 101 Dalmatians.
     
     

    The Disney Channel will telecast three movies a day, at 8 am, 9 pm on week days, 6 pm all days and a movie double block on weekends at 11am and 1:00 pm, says an official release.

    A promotional campaign ‘Har dil mein hai ek Lion King’ will be launched, featuring Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol. The Disney Channel cinema blitzkrieg is being mounted against a backdrop of on-air promos and interstitials.

    Delivering on Disney Channel’s kid empowerment promise of ‘yahan bas apna jadoo chalega’ is the ongoing Heroes 4 Aladdin contest which has already received 1.25 lakh entries on the 11th day of the three-week promotion.

    Driving destination viewing to the 4 pm. Disney’s Aladdin series, the channel is inviting kids to become heroes by helping Genie rescue Aladdin from the clutches of evil magician Jaffar.

    There are big and small prizes to be won for the brave-hearted including 3 Arabian Nights holidays, 600 T-shirts, 150 sling bags and limited edition posters to every contestant.

    The weekend show Studio Disney has been revamped to expand the popular ‘Take The Mickey Challenge’ into a mini-game show format, informs the media release.

    Tweenaged presenters Devika (11 years), Zain (10 years) and Payal (12 years) anchor celebrity interviews.

    Young audiences will be treated to the never seen before sights such as Harbhajan Singh disguised as a watchman, Rahul Bose dressed as a sardarji, Sania Mirza, John Abraham with braided hair andDino Morea doing a Tarzan impression.
