Silverpush launches operations in hong kong, expands apac operations

MUMBAI: SilverPush, the AI based marketing-technology platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI), today announced that it has opened its first office in Hong Kong, as part of its expansion plans across Asia to raise its service offerings in one of the company’s fastest growing markets.

Founded in 2012 by Hitesh Chawla and headquartered in India, SilverPush is a leading digital advertisement platform which helps brands to maximise their audience engagement via real-time TV tracking and TV-to-digital sync solutions. SilverPush’s patented video fingerprinting and content recognition technology helps brands engage with multi screening audiences.

According to Kartik Mehta, Chief Revenue Officer, SilverPush, “With one of the world’s highest internet and mobile penetration rates, in addition to brands’ investment on TV in the region, the Asian market has become our biggest priority. The aim of SiverPush’s further expansion into Hong Kong is to help more brands operating there to reach their multiscreen customers more effectively via their real-time platform.”

Kartik further added, “Conventionally, TV has been the dominant medium for advertisers in Asia. However, the gap between TV and smartphone ownership has narrowed, meaning that more people are obtaining and engaging content via their mobile devices – requiring brands to raise their audience engagement across multiple platforms. SilverPush addresses these trends by allowing brands operating in Hong Kong and within Southeast Asia to reach out to customers across platforms in real time.”

Across Asia, Silverpush currently works with global brands such as Unilever, Nestle, Coca-Cola, Samsung, Johnson & Johnson, and many others.

The company’s latest product, Mirrors, was launched in late 2018 to help contextualise ads when people are viewing content on their devices – therefore aiming to tackle the US$170 billion global problem of misplaced online advertising. Using AI with computer vision, Mirrors detects context in video content that aligns with an advertiser’s core communications objectives, allowing them to effectively target their ads in a world already cluttered with advertisements. This contextual approach to marketing seeks to revolutionise the way that brands engage with their audience.

SilverPush currently serves clients in eight Asian markets including India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam and now, Hong Kong. In addition, SilverPush is also present in South Africa, Tanzania, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates. The company recently raised US$ 5 million in Series B funding led by FreakOut Holdings, Inc., a global marketing technology company and plans to expand into the United States as well as other emerging markets in South Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Silverpush grows 100% y-o-y following apac expansion

MUMBAI: SilverPush, the marketing technology platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI) designed to effectively improve engagement between brands and consumers, is set to become the fastest-growing contextual marketing tech company from India.

Since it’s expansion in APAC last year, the firm has rolled-out several innovative technologies to bolster their audience reach and significantly increased its headcount. To date, SilverPush has been experiencing over a 100 percent year-on-year growth – of which 30 percent is contributed by the firm’s international business.

“The opportunity to grow in Asia is huge, given that online video revenue is expected to grow at 21 percent CAGR across the region in 2017-2022,” said Mr. Kartik Mehta, Chief Revenue Officer of SilverPush. “For 2019, we expect our contributions from online video to reach 50 percent and with it to be driven by consumers in the Asia-Pacific. In 2018, we started working with global brands such as Ford, Nestle, Coca-Cola, Samsung, and many others.”

In Southeast Asia, the company has experienced a fivefold growth in revenue. The company credits this performance to the rising consumer appetite for on-demand and multiscreen viewing.

“Users in Southeast Asia are spending more time on their mobile devices compared to those from other regions, so there is a constant rise in internet and smartphone penetrations,” added Mr. Kartik Mehta. “Also, businesses in these markets are maturing and becoming more open to integrating newer technologies in their audience outreach strategies. We plan to leverage on this and grow our business significantly by helping marketers effectively target their audience engagements.”

The company’s latest product, Mirrors, was launched in late 2018 to help contextualise ads when people are viewing content on their devices – therefore aiming to tackle the US$170 billion global problem of misplaced online advertising. SilverPush has already supported the campaigns of regional brands in APAC such as Indofood, Unilab and Tiger Beer – as well as international brands such as Unilever, KFC, Coca-Cola, Samsung, Johnson & Johnson and many more.

In addition to India and Southeast Asia, SilverPush is also present in South Africa, Tanzania, Japan, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates. With an aim to further amplify its business presence in Hong Kong in the next two months, the company plans to expand to Australia and South Korea by Q2 of 2019.

Tech startup SilverPush introduces innovation for ad analytics

NEW DELHI: SilverPush, a San Francisco and Gurgaon based cross-device mapping platform, has introduced a new tech innovation for ad analytics that measures the effectiveness of television commercials and retargeting the TV viewers on mobile.

The new innovation was revealed at the second Ad Tech in Gurgaon, Delhi.

“This is the first time in India, we are exhibiting our product to technology enthusiasts. We did give a demo at Mobile World Congress this year in the first week of March for which we received a huge response,” said SilverPush CEO Hitesh Chawla.

The tech startup has created a new range of ad analytics services that offers insight on customer engagement with TV advertisements. It has gained substantial investments as well as response from brands across the globe.

Speaking to Indiantelevision.com, SilverPush product marketing manager Adarsh Sasi said that the new technology is integrated into the smart phone and this means a reach to around 18 million devices.

A special code in the device will catch the audio of the advertisement even if it is being seen on a normal television in the same room and not on the smart phone. Thus, the data comes directly from the consumer and can then be passed on to the advertiser, Sasi said.

The company uses a sophisticated deterministic modelling to identify the multiple devices associated with a single user and maps his/ her demographics and behavioural property into a unique id.

Answering a question, Sasi said that the charges varied according to the convenience of the advertiser, who could either pay according to the results they receive or the total number of viewers.

Ad Tech hosted the event to offer a platform to tech companies from the digital marketing industry, where they could exhibit their innovations and products to investors, customers and the general media.

Several keynote addresses and discussions formed part of the event led by hundreds of corporations and suppliers from digital marketing sector.

It offered a platform for networking, collaboration and tie-ups. The first Ad Tech last year had more than 3500 attendees and above 96 speakers.
