    NDTV Ventures’ IndianRoots partners with FabIndia

    MUMBAI: NDTV Ventures’ IndianRoots.com, an online marketplace for Indian fashion, has inked a partnership with Fabindia. With this, IndianRoots will now serve as an online platform to showcase Fabindia’s range to the international audience.

     

    IndianRoots, since its inception in 2013 has been hosting brands and designers with an aim to bridge the gap between products ‘Made in India’ and the worldwide market of Indians. 

     

    IndianRoots recently also partnered with Banka Silk from Bihar, Craftroots – An NGO by Anar Patel and with the Government of Bihar to promote Indian artisanship and make it accessible to global audiences.

    MUMBAI: IndianRoots has received the prestigious Emerging Concept of the Year Award at the Star Retailer Awards 2014 hosted by Franchise India. The Star Retailer Awards, now returning in its 9th year, is considered the market benchmark for retail success in India and continues to be a unique celebration of the very best of retailers who provide their customers a complete experience. With an outstanding performance in a time span of one year, IndianRoots was recognized for its achievement in the e-commerce industry. An NDTV e-commerce venture, IndianRoots was able to achieve sales of over Rs 2 crores during this festive week.

    The festive season being a key factor, visitors to IndianRoots have increased by 101 per cent with an increase in page views by 191 per cent. With a substantially positive beginning to the festive season, IndianRoots has reported a significant growth in revenues.

    NDTV to provide consultancy services to Malaysia’s Astro Awani

    MUMBAI: NDTV Worldwide has expanded its relationship with Malaysia-based Astro, signing a fresh consultancy agreement to offer operations and strategic management support to its channel, Astro Awani, for a period of two years.

    As part of the deal with ,Astro Awani Networks, NDTV Worldwide will assist in creating channel strategy, provide a relevant content plan, and also offer broadcast training and technology planning for the channel.

    NDTV will use its broadcast experience to provide the channel efficient workflows and revenue enhancement strategies for coming years.

    Additionally, NDTV will also deploy its staff on a continued basis to Astro Awani for planning and assisting the channel management in executing its content and channel strategies.

    Says NDTV Worldwide chief executive officer Shyatto Raha, “NDTV will assist the channel operations by introducing the best practices and efficient workflows, localised content strategies built by our experienced programming team. We will work closely with the Astro Awani team to ensure the channel to retain its leadership position through superior content and production values.”

  • NDTV Group elevates Shyatto Raha to CEO of Emerging Markets BV

    MUMBAI: NDTV has appointed Shyatto Raha as the CEO of NDTV Group’s subsidiary company Emerging Markets BV. Heading the company’s business and operations, Raha will report to the NDTV board.

    Emerging Markets BV is responsible for the setting up of local news, current affairs executive and business channels targeting the local population, in the local language in emerging markets across the world.

    Shyatto was the channel head of NDTV 24×7 since its launch and has been the vice president for strategy and business development for the group. “A major in Economics from Delhi University, he recently completed the prestigious Advanced Management Program at The Harvard Business School where he was the youngest in the batch,” a NDTV release said. 

    Shyatto has been with NDTV for over 12 years as an essential part of NDTV’s strategic team and has helped develop new growth areas. He has spearheaded the launch of NDTV Arabia in the Middle East and the two Astro Awani channels in Indonesia and Malaysia.
