    DeHaat appoints Rohit Sareen as senior VP

    Mumbai: Homegrown full-stack agri-tech company DeHaat has announced the appointment of Rohit Sareen as senior vice president – Agri Output. 

    An ex-banker turned agri-entrepreneur with strong interest in sustainable food solutions, Sareen has been the founding member of multiple agri-ventures, latest of which was FreshMantra Pvt Ltd, a fully integrated provider of ‘Seed to Plate,’ eco-friendly agricultural produce & food solutions. He was working with 8500+ farmers to create a strong food safety network & build an efficient advisory ecosystem across key agricultural pockets of India.  

    Prior to his movement in the agri domain, Sareen spent 14 years working in investment management, building businesses in consumer banking, trade finance and strategy in the banking domain with renowned organisations such as Bank of America, Merrill Lynch International, Citibank Singapore & Citi India.

    “DeHaat has a rich history of serving the farmer community,” said Rohit Sareen. “I had been following DeHaat for many years and was impressed by their farmer first, tech enabled & entrepreneur friendly ecosystem.     The kind of leadership skills that Sareen brings will enhance DeHaat’s in-house knowledge in building AI-enabled technologies to revolutionise supply chain and production efficiency in the farm sector, said the company.

    BYJU’S appoints Puneet Bhirani as senior VP, operations

    Mumbai: Edtech company BYJU’S on Monday announced the appointment of Puneet Bhirani as senior vice president – operations.

    In his role, Bhirani will oversee the company’s overall operations strategy as well as build strong and innovative technological support to scale the business. He will strengthen internal capacity as per the strategic objectives, said the company in a statement.

    “Puneet brings in a wealth of experience coupled with a deep understanding of business operations. We believe his joining will be a great value addition to the team and look forward to supporting him along the way,” said BYJU’S chief people officer Pravin Prakash.

    Before joining BYJU’S, Bhirani was associated with Ola Fleet as CEO and group COO at Ola across mobility, foods, and Ola electric. A CXO with over 24 years of cross-cultural experience across India, the UK, and the US, he brings on board his expertise in business transformation, new business setup & expansion, business development & cost/resource optimisation across various domains.

    MUMBAI: Dentsu Webchutney, the digital agency from Dentsu Aegis Network, has appointed Gautam Reghunath as Senior Vice President and Branch Head, Bangalore. He will lead the 40-member-strong team in Bangalore, overseeing clients including Flipkart, Dailyhunt, Helpchat and Quikr.

    Reghunath, formerly Vice President, will report directly to Dentsu Webchutney CEO Sidharth Rao. Reghunath’s key role will be to further build on the Bangalore office’s business success in addition to strengthening the agency’s creative and content production capabilities.

    Confirming Reghunath’s new assignment, Rao said, “Under Gautam’s leadership, our South India business continues to evolve at tremendous speed, having grown 200% over last year.     MUMBAI:  Publicis Group’s full-service digital agency, Razorfish, has appointed Anne Davis as the senior vice president head of multi-national clients.

    A member of the Razorfish team since 2009, Davis has over 20 years experience working in client and integrated communication agencies with the last 15 focused on digital. The role is based out of Hong Kong.

    Her new role is to build an operation and culture that is hospitable to multi-national client relationships. “Many client companies are establishing global operations in APAC. We are the only global agency network equipped to support this regional business focus. The creation of my new role supports the ongoing evolvement of Razorfish’s relationships with clients; partnering to navigate the unknown, drive change and enable business transformation.”

     

    She will be reporting directly into global CEO, Pete Stein, and  will work both with the global leadership team and with the organisation as a whole to facilitate multi-national client opportunities.
