    BIGG BOSS Telugu Season 5 returns on Star Maa

    Mumbai: The fifth edition of ‘Bigg Boss Telugu’ has created quite a buzz ever since it premiered on Star Maa on 5 September. The official logo launch has reached over 16.2 million viewers on social media, and the promo launched with the theme – “Boredom ki cheppey goodbye, vachesindi #BiggBossTelugu Season 5!” (goody bye to boredom, Bigg Boss Telugu Season 5 is here!) has also garnered over 2.3 million views on YouTube.

    South Indian superstar Nagarjuna returns as a host for the reality show, which began with spectacular performances on Sunday. Several celebrities including Ravi, Shanmugh, and Dance Master Natraj have already entered the house.

    According to the channel, not just viewers, even brands had been awaiting the show’s launch for reaching audiences in key states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This holds true for national and local advertisers looking to make inroads before the approaching festive season. Sponsors who have been part of ‘Bigg Boss’ in the past four seasons and have experienced the power of this platform first-hand are already on board. Currently, over 20 brands have signed up on the show, the channel said on Thursday.

    According to TTK Prestige, DGM-Marketing, Ankur Agarwal, ‘Bigg Boss Telugu’ has been one of the most spectacular shows past all seasons and has great brand engagement. The brand has signed up to jointly co-present the show. “The longevity of the show and its entertainment value is one of the most attractive propositions. As the show enters its fifth season, TTK Prestige is deliriously happy to partner with Star MAA and ‘Bigg Boss’ with an objective to widen deeper market penetration and come close to the audience in AP/TS market,” said Agarwal

    Another brand, Suvarnabhoomi Infra Developers too expressed delight in jointly co-presenting the show. “We are very soon launching new projects.     Mumbai: HistoryTV18 has launched the fifth season of #RoadTrippinWithRnM, a digital travel vlogging series. The new season which premiered on 23 August, will continue till 7 September.

    “The two hosts Rocky and Mayur will take a trip across South India, starting from Madurai in Tamil Nadu and ending at Panjim, Goa. During their journey, they will visit popular but lesser-known destinations such as Tiruchirappalli, Coimbatore, Salem, Mysore, Chikmagalur, Mangalore, and Gokarna,” the channel shared in a statement.

    The show can be viewed on the social media handles of HistoryTV18, Rocky and Mayur. The vlogs will be posted on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

    “Can’t wait to get out on the open roads again! We have covered a large part of India over our last four trips with HistoryTV18, but this is the first time we are heading South.     MUMBAI: In anticipation of the fifth season premiere of Pretty Little Liars (PLL), ABC Family president Tom Ascheim and ABC Family executive VP original programming and development and chief creative officer Kate Juergens have announced that the network has picked up unprecedented two seasons of its longest-running original hit series, Pretty Little Liars, from Warner Horizon Television. Season six is set to air mid-2015, and season seven in mid-2016 on the American network ABC Family.

     

    According to the Nielsen US television viewer ratings, Pretty Little Liars is ABC Family’s #1 series in the network’s history in Total Viewers (3.8 million) and across all target demos: Adults 18-34 (1.5 million/2.2 rating), Women 18-34 (1.3 million/3.7 rating), Adults 18-49 (2.0 million/1.6 rating), Women 18-49 (1.7 million/2.7 rating), Viewers 12-34 (2.6 million/2.8 rating) and Females 12-34 (2.3 million/4.9 rating).

     

    Pretty Little Liars holds the record as the most-tweeted scripted-series telecast of all time, and across all genres, it holds 7 of the Top 15 most-tweeted series telecasts ever. The show also generated the highest average number of tweets per episode (675,000 tweets) of any TV series during the 2013/14 broadcast season. Based on total followers, Pretty Little Liars recently became the #1 scripted television series on Instagram, according to ListenFirst Media.

     

    Pretty Little Liars has taken its place in the zeitgeist and reigns supreme in pop culture,” said Ascheim in a statement. “I am glad to bring another two seasons to our audience because ‘A’ has a lot in store for our Liars.”

     

    The season five premiere of Pretty Little Liars, entitled ‘Escape from New York’ aired in the US on Tuesday, 10 June and the storyline picked up where the season four finale left off, with Aria and the Liars reeling from Ezra’s shooting at the hands of “A.” The five girls quickly realise that as the one person who truly knows “A’s” identity, Ezra is in grave danger. While Aria watches over Ezra at the hospital, Alison and the PLLs lay a trap to finally flush out “A” and are shocked by who is ensnared. Meanwhile, Detective Holbrook steps up his efforts to find the girls and puts the Hastings family on alert. And as news of Alison’s “resurrection” spreads, Mona is not pleased.

     

    The new season of Pretty Little Liars will debut in India on 14 June, airing Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., exclusively on Zee Cafe!
