    British Airways Indian campaign wins Hollywood award

    NEW DELHI: The “Fuelled by Love” campaign created by SapientNitro for British Airways has become the first Indian campaign to have won an award under the online video category at the A-list Awards, Hollywood. 

    British Airways “Fuelled by Love” – the bronze champion is an ad campaign for the Indian market, highlighting the airline’s sense of love, respect and sincerity to their association with India.

    The A-List Hollywood Awards are one of the first creative competition of its kind in Hollywood, honouring excellence and innovation intersecting between advertising and entertainment across all platforms.

    The video has crossed over 1.8 million views on Youtube till now and showcases the story of how a British Airways crew member falls in love with India during her first visit to the country and her emotional connect with one of the passengers.

    Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the critically acclaimed director of the Bollywood movie Masaan, the British Airways “Fuelled by Love” film went live in February this year, and follows the story of a young cabin crew member of British origin who is flying to India for the first time.

    MUMBAI: More and more speakers have been confirmed for Cannes Lions this year, as the Festival’s programme continues to take shape. In the last week alone, nearly 50 new sessions have been added to the schedule of what’s on.

     

    Renowned scientist and broadcaster Professor Brian Cox will explore the key scientific principles that help unlock the mysteries around us before ZenithOptimedia will show how advertising is also a world underpinned by laws akin to scientific principles.

    This year the Kyoorius Advertising & Digital Awards introduce a series of new categories that acknowledge emerging and under-recognised areas in advertising and digital communication. These include Branded Film Content & Entertainment, TV Cinema & Title Sequences, Show Programme Promotion, and Tactical Advertising for Press & Film. Recognizing the popularity of last year’s Design for Good category, Kyoorius has created Advertising for Good, to recognize campaigns and movements aimed at promoting social awareness.     FCB Ulka Digital appoints Anushree Ghosh as strategic head

    MUMBAI: FCB Ulka Digital has appointed Anushree Ghosh as digital strategic head.

    Prior to this, Ghosh was with SapientNitro where she was leading the strategy function. Ghosh has worked on a gamut of brands such as Nestle, eBay, ITC, GSK Horlicks and MTV, among many others in her previous avatars.

    Her expertise lies in decoding the digital consumer behaviour with over 12 years of varied experience and brings with her deep knowledge of digital strategy and brand management, which ensures deep consumer understanding and engagement.

    KV Sridhar joins SapientNitro

    MUMBAI: World is surely moving towards digital, maybe that’s why KV Sridhar (Pops) decided to join digital agency SapientNitro.

     

    Very excited to join this new breed of agency which is redefining storytelling, he wrote on his facebook page. He will join the agency as chief creative officer in India, starting 1 July.

     

    After spending 17 years in Leo Burnett, his exit left everyone shocked. A t the time of leaving the agency Pops had said, “It has been a purposeful journey for me at Leo Burnett, growing with and having a chance to play a key role in shaping the agency’s creative prowess. I have had the opportunity to work with and get to be friends with some of the brightest creative minds in the world, work on some of the most exciting campaigns, with some of the most amazing clients. I wish Saurabh Varma (CEO of the agency in India) and Leo Burnett great success.”

     

    His current move has left everyone surprised as well. On his appointment, he said, “I am excited about joining SapientNitro, it allows me to connect with the new generation. This is something completely future facing, there are very few senior guys actually embracing new media today.”

     

    Leo Burnett recently replaced Pops with BBDO’s RajDeepak Das, who will head the agency’s creative function across India.

    MUMBAI: SapientNitro, an interactive marketing, creative design, and technology services agency, has acquired 81 per cent of Brazil-based independent digital agency iThink.

    The move into Brazil marks the expansion of SapientNitro into the Latin American market, strategically rounding out the agency‘s global footprint to include all of the BRIC countries, and expanding its ability to help clients around the world.

    According to the company statement, Latin America is a strategic and rapidly evolving market for SapientNitro and its clients. Expansion into this region is in response to client demand for SapientNitro‘s combination of brand, digital and commerce service offerings in the market, particularly as global marketers gear up for Brazil‘s hosting of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympics.

    Led by Marcelo Tripoli, iThink was founded in 2002. iThink‘s team services a multi-national client base that includes Castrol, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft, Google, and Samsung.

  • SapientNitro appoints Andy Greenaway as ECD – APAC

    MUMBAI: SapientNitro, an interactive marketing, creative design, and technology services agency has appointed Andy Greenaway as executive creative director for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

    Greenaway will assume the role in February and will be based in Singapore. Till recently, Greenaway was the regional creative director of Asia Pacific for Saatchi & Saatchi.

    He will report to worldwide chief creative officer Gaston Legorburu and work alongside APAC business unit lead Christian Oversohl as a member of the APAC leadership team.

    Oversohl said, “With his extensive experience in the Asian market and his unique creative voice, Andy will be instrumental in our ability to serve the growing client demand for truly integrated services.     SapientNitro appoints Sushobhan Mukherjee as VP- strategy APAC

    MUMBAI: SapientNitro, an interactive marketing, creative design, and technology services agency, has appointed Sushobhan Mukherjee as vice president- strategy for Asia Pacific.

    Based in Singapore, Mukherjee will report to SapientNitro senior vice president Christian Oversohl.

    He will help expand the company‘s strategic capabilities and thought leadership across SapientNitro‘s offices in the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia, China, India and Singapore.

    Shubhradeep Guha named as India country manager for Sapientnitro

    MUMBAI: SapientNitro, part of integrated marketing company Sapient, today named Shubhradeep Guha as its India country manager.

    Guha will be involved in leading SapientNitro’s marketing services business in India and will report to Global marketing services lead Bob Van Beber.

    He is also the global capability lead at SapientNitro and replaces Ramswaroop Gopalan, who moves on from the firm to pursue personal endeavours.

    In his new role, Guha will focus on building capabilities across the marketing and digital space as well as engage with key global and Indian brands. Alongside his duties as country manager, Guha will retain his current responsibilities and continue to be a part of SapientNitro’s European and Asian leadership teams.
