    MUMBAI: iTV Network’s group chief revenue officer Sanjay Dua has stepped down from his responsibilty. Dua was responsible for providing strategic direction and creating new opportunities in the market. He also worked towards innovative revenue mode;ls for the network’ growth and was also closely associated with the company’s commercial sports property.

    “There is no solid reason behind his resignation. He wishes to pursue other opportunities in life and give some valuable time to his personal life. He is just taking a short break for now”, said founder and promoter of iTV Network Kartikeya Sharma.

    He had joined NewsX as the CEO and iTV as CRO in September 2014.

    Dua comes with a lavish experince of working with Network18 News Media as the CEO andd handles CNN-IBN, IBN7, IBN-Lokmat and History TV18. He also managed the advertising sales of CNBC-TV18, CNBC-Awaaz, CNN-IBN, IBN7, IBN-Lokmat and History TV18. Before joining Network18, he was National Sales Head for Zee News Network.

    iTV Network ups Varun Kohli as India News CEO

    MUMBAI: iTV Network has elevated Varun Kohli as CEO of its national Hindi news channel India News. Prior to this, he was India News COO and revenue head.

    Kohli will report to iTV Network group CRO and NewsX CEO Sanjay Dua.

    In his new role, Kohli will be responsible for leading the growth of the channel to next level.

    iTV Network managing director Kartikeya Sharma stated quite clearly:  “We are delighted to elevate Varun as the CEO of India News. This elevation is in line with our commitment to growth. His skills and wide experience  will surely help India news reach the next level of growth.”

    Dua added, “Over the course of time, Varun has played a more central role in the leadership of the company and with his elevation to CEO, India News; he will take on an even wider role. His strong track record of delivering growth and understanding of industry will help our continued success, moving forward.”

    Prior to joining ITV network, he was head of sales for IBN7. With a professional experience spanning over 21 years, he has worked in media companies like Amar Ujala, Bennett, Coleman & Company Ltd., Deccan Chronicle, Dainik Bhaskar, Hindustan Times and Indian Express. All his experience will come to bear at the iTV Network which has ambitions to grow in the news television and related TV businesses going forward.

    ITV Network appoints Manoj Jagyasi as business head, regional channels

    MUMBAI: It seems that ITV Network is on a hiring spree. It has got on-board Manoj Jagyasi in the business leadership team. He has joined in as business head, regional channels.

     

    As part of his new role, he will be responsible for the sales activities including sales strategy, planning, ad sales operations and revenue generation for the regional channels of India News. He will be reporting to NewsX CEO and ITV Network CRO Sanjay Dua.

     

    Dua believes that Jagyasi has got vast industry knowledge. His ‘go-getter’ approach and strong relationship with clients and agencies will ensure boost in sales revenues.

     

    ITV Network managing director Kartikeya Sharma said, “With Manoj’s expertise and stronghold in managing markets like Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat and MPCG, I believe he makes the ideal person to drive our sales activities for our regional channels.     He carries more than 13 years of experience in business development and sales across industries; television, radio, internet and FMCG. In his earlier association with TV18 Broadcast, he worked as an AVP, where he was the revenue head, India and prior to this, he was the sales head, ETV News Network- MPCG and Gujarat. In the past, he was also associated with organisations like India Today (Red FM 93.5) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. A Bachelor in Commerce, he also holds Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Nirma Institute of Management.

    MUMBAI: After elevating RK Arora to ITV Network group CEO, another appointment has been made in the now growing network. Sanjay Dua, who formerly headed Network18’s web operations, has joined as NewsX CEO and ITV Network chief revenue officer.

     

    He will report to Arora. His new responsibilities include providing strategic direction, creating new opportunities in the market and making a roadmap for the business of NewsX as well as revenue management for the entire network.

     

    Prior to this, Dua was Network18 CEO news media and handled ad sales for CNBC-TV18, CNBC Awaaz, CNN-IBN, IBN7, IBN Lokmat and History TV18. This apart, he has also worked with Walt Disney, Bennett Coleman & Co, ESPN, Sahara, Hallmark and Zee News.

     

    Speaking on his appointment, ITV Network managing director Kartikeya Sharma said, “Sanjay is a seasoned and trusted leader who consistently delivers results.  He is uniquely qualified to drive strategic monetisation and product prioritization.     Network18 names Sanjay Dua CEO of News Media Network

    MUMBAI: Network18 has named IBN Media Operations COO and head Sanjay Dua as CEO of the Network18 News Media Network.

    The News Media Network will play the role of a centralised sales agency and will work closely with the channel teams and be aligned with the P&L goals of each of the channels.

    In his new role, Dua will lead the group’s specialised client facing sales division which manages the advertising sales interests of its five news channels.

    Dua will spearhead the company’s efforts towards consolidating and optimising revenue growth across its news channels – CNBC-TV18, CNBC Awaaz, CNN-IBN, IBN7 and IBN-Lokmat.

    He will lead the strategic focus on enhancing revenue effectiveness through innovative and scaled up network wide media solutions and an expansion in client categories and yields.

    Additionally, he will also oversee sales for the soon-to-be-launched network of channels from AETN18, Network18’s recently announced JV with A&E Television Networks. Earlier, Dua was specifically responsible for identifying and capitalising on sales growth opportunities at the IBN general news channels of the group.

    While the News Media Network will continue to reflect the group’s focus on individual news brands via dedicated teams and sales leaders aligned to each channel, it will now bring together all the leading news assets to exploit opportunities in the evolving competitive environment.

    Prior to joining Network18, Dua led national sales at the Zee News network, apart from stints at Walt Disney and Bennett & Coleman.

    Network18 had recently made key CEO appointments across its channels. Ajay Chacko was made president of AETN18, while Anil Uniyal was named CEO of CNBC-TV18 and CNBC Awaaz. CNN-IBN got a CEO in Dilip Venkatraman.

    MUMBAI: CNN-IBN is launching a special series India’s Incredible Homes on 16 February. The half-hour show at 12:30 pm will showcase homes ranging from an urban dwelling, a nature getaway to an unusual abode or a famous celebrity’s customised residence.

    The new show will consist of a number of segments “Personality Homes,” “Away from the City,” “Funky Homes” and “Back to Basics.” The Personality Homes special will talk about homes that reflect the persona of various well-known personalities. Away from the City segment will highlight the homes that take care of the dweller in the lap of nature – from mountains to beaches.     MUMBAI: IBN 7’s recently launched talk show Zindagi Live has launched a microsite on IBNLive.com. The microsite will also have a blog section of the anchor Richa Anirudh who will write about what viewers can expect in future episodes and the audience response.

    The microsite features show schedule, streaming videos of episodes of Zindagi Live and offers a platform for viewers to share their experiences with the channel.

    Viewers can log in and submit their detail as well as their story. Besides, viewers can also send e-mails with their personal accounts that they would like to share on the show at zindagilive@ibnlive.com.
