    Maxus strengthens top management in south; appoints Anil Sathiraju as GM

    MUMBAI: In a move to further strengthen their top management, global media and communication planning firm Maxus has appointed Anil Sathiraju as general manager Maxus South 2.

     

    Maxus South has been growing rapidly and handles some of the biggest clients of the region. Sathiraju will report to Maxus South India & South Asia managing p Sanchayeeta Verma.

     

    With Sathiraju coming on board, Maxus consolidates the senior management strength in the South, along with Kishankumar Shyamalan as GM South 1.

     

    Maxus South Asia managing director Kartik Sharma said, “Our South operations have been the trail blazers in many areas for Maxus and we are looking forward to scale new heights. Anil is an important and strategic addition keeping this in mind.”

     

    Commenting on the new appointment Verma added, “The media landscape is possibly at its most dynamic state today. It’s a time of rapid and big changes. Not only do we have to stay on top of this and ensure that we incorporate the new state of things in the way we do the communication planning for our brands, we also have to ensure executional excellence so that strategy translates to reality. On top of it, in today’s uncertain economic conditions, our media monies have to result into tangible business results for our brands. All of this means, more engagement and more speed at the senior management level. This prompted us to create two distinct SBUs within Maxus South and bring in the best people to man them, i.e, Anil and Kishan. Anil typifies Maxus PACE and we are delighted to have him on board.”

     

    Elaborating on his new role, Sathiraju said, “Moving from an agency after 15 yrs was not at all easy for me. Maxus gave me that confidence and motivation to take the leap. With the vision that Maxus has, and the kind of work that they do, my decision making became that much easier.”

     

    Armed with an experience of 19 years, Sathiraju worked with Mudra Max prior to this.

    MUMBAI: The year 2013 has been an exciting one for Maxus in India. From winning new clients like Tata Global Beverages, Nestle India, Musafir.com to name a few to dominating industry awards.

     

    Continuing with the winning steak, Maxus India has retained the title of the most “dominant” agency profile for the fourth year in a row as per the RECMA 2013 report.

     

    They were the only agency to be rated as “dominant” as per the ratings. The RECMA report is the Qualitative Assessment for 2013 for all leading media agencies in India on the basis two parameters – vitality & structure. This is the highest level of ratings awarded by the agency RECMA, for the agency that demonstrates a balance between the two parameters.

     

    Speaking on the new RECMA Ratings, Maxus south Asia managing director Kartik Sharma said, “2013 has been an exciting year for us. We won 17 new businesses, worth over Rs.600 crores. We made substantial investments to strengthen our offering across core media, digital, branded content and activation.     Late year, Maxus India also saw several high profile talent related milestones, with Ajit Varghese moving into a new role at as CEO, APAC, Maxus and Kartik Sharma taking over as the new managing director, Maxus India.

She joined Maxus in 2009 as head of the Bangalore office. Over the years she has successfully managed the Bangalore operations and established the Kerala set-up. She helped the team bring in some key clients such as Wipro, Tata Tea, RedBus.com, Google, Myntra.com, Manapuram, Kerala Tourism (for digital) into the Maxus fold.      MUMBAI: Maxus has the WON the media business on redBus.in in the recently conducted pitch process. Redbus.in, an online bus ticket-booking site recently started advertising on television and other mass media.

    The development follows a highly contested pitch with Mindshare, Madison, ZO and Mudramax.

    Maxus is on a roll yet again in 2013 with the wins like Nestle Digital in Delhi, Tata Tea in Bangalore.

    Matrubhumi appoints Maxus Kerala as media AoR

    MUMBAI: Maxus Kerala has been selected as the media AoR by Kerala-based media major Matrubhumi, which has presence across dailies, magazines, internet and radio.

    The estimated size of the account is Rs 250 million.

    Maxus India GM south Sanchayeeta Verma said, “Mathrubhumi is a very significant addition to our client portfolio, especially for our Kerala office. This is not only on account of its significant advertising expenditure, but also because it is a media conglomerate in the expansion mode.”
