    MUMBAI: YuppTV Bazaar has tied up with India’s leading digital media firm, Culture Machine, to feature its network of media brands on the YuppTV platform.

    With over 500 million monthly views, Culture Machine has emerged as one of the leading producers of content across genres. Further to this association, YuppTV Bazaar viewers will now be able to watch various digital channels like- Being Indian, Epified, Old Delhi Films, Put Chutney, Blush, Rascalas, Being Indian’s Awesome Sauce, Whack and VIVA to name a few, all ‘owned and operated’ by Culture Machine.

    Speaking at the new alliance, YuppTV founder and CEO Uday Reddy said, “YuppTV Bazaar has gained traction within the young and dynamic internet users. We decided to associate with Culture Machine, following their repertoire of digital media brands and content that appeals to the South Asian internet audiences. We are positive that our users at YuppTV Bazaar would actively enjoy the refreshing new content.”

    Epic & Culture Machine join hands to launch short format non-fiction content

    MUMBAI: With an aim to strengthen its position as industry leaders in Indian historic and mythological content on television, the Epic Channel and digital video entertainment company Culture Machine have launched ‘Epified.’

     

    Starting 15 August, ‘Epified’ is a collection of short format non-fiction content related to Indian history and mythology, which includes works inspired by the writings of renowned mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik and many more. Epified’s programming includes a plethora of series like the Mahabharata, Dharma Explained, Gods-Masters-Heroes and more.

     

    The Epic Channel founder and MD Mahesh Samat said, “It has been our constant endeavour to bring to Indian audiences, some of the great stories of Indian history and mythology.     Digital video network Culture Machine raises $18 million

    MUMBAI: Culture Machine, a digital video network, has raised $18 million in series B funding led by Tiger Global, Zodius Capital and Times Internet. The company had previously raised $3.5 million in series A funding from Zodius Capital and Times Internet.
     
    Culture Machine, co-founded by Sameer Pitalwalla and Venkat Prasad, former Disney and Youtube executives, creates digital video entertainment for the internet generation by combining cutting edge technology with great content.
     
    “In a multi-screen, multi-platform world where content is personalised and social is the new distribution, creating targeted content for global communities at scale is a challenge. These digital video platforms are the next generation of distribution, and we are building a next generation media company that uses our proprietary technology platforms, to know what content to create and create that content at scale,” said Pitalwalla and Prasad in a joint statement.
     
    Tiger Global Management partner Lee Fixel added, “Culture Machine Media has built a world-class technology platform and the largest creator network in the country. We’re excited to support the company as it innovates digital content for a rapidly growing audience.”
