Good Day stirs up India’s chai love

MUMBAI: Biscuit dunking has never sounded so sweet. Britannia Good Day is giving India’s favourite chai break a chart-topping twist with its new campaign “Chai khaa lo, Good Day duba lo”, a playful call to take a bite of tea.

Inspired by a tea-seller’s viral “chai kha lo” chant, the brand has turned a street-side moment into a national mood. Partnering with viral sensation Yashraj Mukhate, Britannia has dropped a catchy “Chai Anthem” that celebrates the unbreakable bond between steaming chai and a dunked Good Day biscuit.

Mccann Worldgroup has bottled this energy into a series of snappy 20-second films, capturing everyday Indian scenes: a chatty hostel evening, a quiet train journey, all stitched together with the joy of dip-and-sip.

“Chai time is the heartbeat of India, and Good Day has always been a part of that magic,” said Britannia Industries general manager–marketing Archana Balaraman. “We wanted this campaign to celebrate that shared joy in a fun, instantly relatable way.”

Mccann Worldgroup executive vice president and creative head south Sambit Mohanty, added that the idea was to highlight Good Day’s timeless partnership with chai through wholesome stories and familiar faces.

So, the next time you pour yourself a cup, don’t just sip it. Dunk in a Good Day, hum the new anthem, and let your tea break hit all the right notes.

  • Dabur Chyawanprash onboards Nagarjuna as South India brand ambassador

Dabur Chyawanprash onboards Nagarjuna as South India brand ambassador

Mumbai: FMCG major Dabur India has roped in South superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna as the new brand ambassador of its flagship health supplements brand Dabur Chyawanprash for the South Indian market.

A new ad campaign, conceptualised by McCann World Group, will soon be aired across media platforms in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. With this association, Dabur aims to reach every household in south India and create awareness about the importance of strong immunity and the role that Dabur Chyawanprash plays in building immunity to fight illnesses, said the statement.

“We are happy to have superstar Nagarjuna on board as the face of Dabur Chyawanprash for South Indian markets. Being a philanthropist and brand ambassador for HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns, Nagarjuna has been a prominent face for several community development initiatives,” said Dabur India regional business head – South JP Victoria.

“With Nagarjuna on board as the face for Dabur Chyawanprash, this campaign is expected to have a very good reach and connect with consumers in South Indian markets. With this communication, we are also establishing our strong sense of pride about ‘Made in India, by Indians, for Indians,’ and caring for every household’s immunity and well-being in South India,” Victoria added.

Commenting on this association, Nagarjuna remarked, “The times we are living in today have underlined the importance of immunity more than ever before. Strong Immunity is the need of the hour. Dabur has relentlessly nurtured the country’s health and fitness through the science of authentic Ayurveda. As a consumer, I have been associated with the brand for years now. I really believe that together, Dabur and I, will take Dabur Chyawanprash to every household in South India and work towards building the nation’s immunity.”

The campaign uses the south Indian martial art form Silambam as a metaphor to emphasise on the need to build immunity to fight illnesses.

“Creative storytelling is all about making a product proposition more engaging for people to take notice of it. So, when we were tasked with introducing Dabur Chyawanprash for the South Indian markets, we struck upon the idea of using the ancient Southern martial art of ‘Silambam’ or stick fighting as a theme,” shared McCann World Group creative head – South Sambit Mohanty.

  • Tinder rolls out ‘Adulting Can Wait’ campaign

Tinder rolls out ‘Adulting Can Wait’ campaign

MUMBAI: Dating app Tinder has rolled out its latest brand campaign ‘Adulting Can Wait’ to tap into Gen Z’s reality by establishing that pre-adulting life stage must be cherished and championed and not be underplayed as just transitional.

The Tinder campaign kick-starts with a digital video, and will be supported in the first phase by an outdoor and digital media campaign. The film has been created and conceptualised by J Walter Thompson, Delhi.

J Walter Thompson Managing partner Joy Chauhan said, “Young people would like to give choice a chance and see where it takes them. If only adulthood wasn’t looming. Tinder first released dating from its limitations and now it is empowering the young with control; to make discoveries, to meet people who open new doors, to explore a charmed life. Everyone has to grow up but why waste your ‘young’ in anticipation of it? This content just gives them that nudge with heart, humour and a lightness of touch!”

J Walter Thompson national creative director Sambit Mohanty added, “Tinder is more than just an app that enables 'dating'. It's a plethora of life experiences and a whole lot of fun. That's the spirit we wanted to capture with our new campaign – tailor-made for a young and restless generation that doesn't want to commit to adult choices.”

Tinder has also launched a specially designed OOH campaign, featuring recreated popular memes at key locations across metro cities.

Commenting on the campaign, Tinder India GM Taru Kapoor said, “Experiences in our early 20s serve as lessons in how to adult and eventually “settle down”. Growing up isn’t really optional, and we will achieve the goals that we seek and the ones we didn’t know we seek. We will all get there, whatever ‘there’ is. But until then, we want to celebrate the unexpected surprises at every corner – the craziness we will be nostalgic about sooner than we think, the relationships that will leave us better than they found us, the adventures that will make us challenge our own limits and the people who will leave an indelible mark on our lives.”

Taru further added, “Tinder represents endless possibilities where each right swipe opens up a new world of unique possibilities. Every swipe is a new connection, a potential epic memory or a valuable lesson in self-discovery. The film captures all the potential connections and social interactions, which eventually shape our worldviews as well as self-identity that Tinder can facilitate.”
