    MUMBAI: This Father’s Day, Nikon India didn’t just celebrate fathers; it captured them, pixel by pixel. Launching a campaign that focused less on frames per second and more on moments per lifetime, Nikon asked leading creators to reach into their hearts and memory cards for their most cherished stories with their dads. The results were heart-tugging, legacy-building, and profoundly intimate.

    The campaign spotlighted father-child relationships through a lens that was as emotional as it was sharp. Nikon invited creators to dig into their archives and share frames that spoke of unspoken bonds, late-night chats, proud pats, and quiet sacrifices. It wasn’t about cinematic flair or polished production; it was about catching the moments that matter – the everyday magic of fatherhood.

    “This campaign was a heartfelt tribute to the timeless bond shared between fathers and their children, a connection that often carries love, values, and unspoken strength across generations. It was truly touching to see creators revisit those moments, reflect on their relationships, and express how their fathers shaped who they are today, and how they now pass that essence on to their own children. These stories beautifully captured the emotions that words often can’t, creating memories that live on far beyond the frame”, said Nikon India MD Sajjan Kumar.

    To bring this reel of real emotion to life, Nikon collaborated with creators Rajarshi Banerji, Sachin Bhor, Akash Aggarwal and Nitin Panwar. Each brought to the table stories that were raw, rooted, and reflective – whether it was a throwback to childhood guidance or a slice of present-day parenting.

    The campaign leaned into the universal appeal of visual storytelling. The creators turned their lenses toward mentorship, love, legacy and the unyielding presence that defines the role of a father. The visual tapestry that emerged wasn’t a curated grid but an honest collage of connection, composed in light and layered in emotion.

    By turning the camera inward, Nikon spotlighted a generation of fathers who might not always make it to the family album but are the ones behind every perfect shot. This was storytelling with aperture and heart, capturing not just images but entire ideologies that shape families.

    With this campaign, Nikon reaffirmed its belief that while anyone can click a picture, only a story can make it immortal. And when the story is about dads? That’s one worth zooming in on.

    Mumbai: Nikon India Pvt Ltd is thrilled to announce the launch of the first season of its ‘Wonders of the Wild’ photography and videography contest in collaboration with the Worldwide Fund for Nature -India (WWF-India). The contest aims to recognise and reward the acumen of Wildlife photographers and videographers in India who are passionate about capturing some of the breathtaking moments of flora & fauna through their lenses. The ongoing one-and-a-half-month-long contest is open to wildlife photographers and videographers across India till 3 March 2024.

    The contest has been introduced with the primary objective of inspiring both videographers and photographers dedicated to wildlife and nature to unleash their creativity and visual storytelling prowess and capture the vibrance of Indian Wildlife.

    Speaking at the commencement of the contest, Nikon India Pvt Ltd MD Sajjan Kumar said, “India is recognized as a natural sanctuary for an array of wildlife, offering photographers and videographers an ideal canvas to showcase their talent on a global scale.     The top entries of this contest will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of renowned wildlife videographers and photographers such as “Mr Shaaz Jung – aka big cat specialist, Nikon  Z ambassador, director of photography for the National Geographic feature film titled “The Real Black Panther”.

    Second on the Jury panel is the ‘The Tiger Princess of India’ – a title bestowed to a renowned wildlife photographer, wildlife conservationist, and Nikon creator, Latika Nath.

    We are excited to announce the third jury member of the contest, Kallol Mukherjee, a distinguished Nikon creator and acclaimed wildlife photographer with multiple awards to his credit.

    Submission of entries:

    The contest shall remain open for entries until 3 March, 2024. Participants regardless of age or gender, are encouraged to participate in the contest.

    Participants can enter the contest through the Nikon India website at  https://capturewithnikon.in/wonders-of-the-wild. The participants need to fill out a form, upload a link to their photo and/or video, and specify the Nikon camera and lens model used to capture the entry. Additionally, all participants need to provide a 100-word caption describing why their entry should be shortlisted. For the video entries, the total duration should not exceed one minute.

    Alternatively, participants can also participate via Instagram by uploading their photo and/or video via their personal Instagram handle. The accompanying caption must highlight the Nikon camera and lens used, include a 100-word description about why their entry should be selected, and add following hashtag #wowseason1, and tag @NikonIndiaOfficial to validate their entry.

    Exciting prizes:

    Winners not only stand a chance to win exciting prizes worth Rs 8 lakhs but they also have the opportunity to receive nationwide recognition and fame within the Wildlife community. The winner will receive a powerful and versatile mirrorless camera, Nikon Z 8 worth Rs 3,43,995 as a grand prize.     Mumbai : Amalgamating the brand philosophy of ‘Trustworthiness and Creativity’ with the event of World Photography Day, Nikon, a leading brand name in the photography industry, created a first-of-its-kind engagement campaign the platform feature on Instagram. The activity named #NikonInstaBadge urged regular and passionate users to avail their personalized stickers by simply sharing a picture of their Nikon gear using the exclusive hashtag.

    The brand understood the importance of cameras in people’s day-to-day lives, helping capture moments both big and small.

    This innovative campaign stemmed from a simple insight of photographers seeking validation from the brand by employing various hashtags while showcasing their work and additionally use watermarks to create identity of their work. Hence, Nikon decided to give the users a new experience of validation to enable continued sharing of inspiring work.
