  • Marico’s hair oil campaign depicts ingredients’ visual delight

MUMBAI: Marico’s youthful and contemporary hair nourishment brand, Hair & Care, has launched a new campaign for its revolutionary fruit hair oils. With this campaign, the brand aims to reignite a feeling of exhilaration and excitement towards hair oiling amongst its youthful consumers.

Hair & Care Fruit Oils caters to the modern, young woman between the age group of 18-30 years, who is on a constant look out for exciting products across categories, especially beauty and personal care. The brand has introduced one-of-a-kind range of hair oils with a distinctive mix of fruits that moisturise and energise hair.

The brand plans to make a big impact in the market through a multimedia promotion exercise led by a TVC being showcased on various shows and channels. Starring Hair & Care’s ambassador, Shraddha Kapoor, in a never seen before avatar, the new ad highlights the brand’s core benefit – hair full of energy. Conceptualised and executed by BBH India, the film has been shot in a manner that makes consumers actually experience the elation and vigor of the new offering.

Commenting on the new campaign, Marico CMO Anuradha Aggarwal said, “The new Hair & Care fruit oils address the hair nourishment needs of its young contemporary consumers. It redefines the traditional source codes of nourishment and introduces the much needed stimulating oiling experience amongst today’s youth. The campaign is built to disrupt the category by presenting this product innovation, not through a narrative but by demonstrating the visual delight of its ingredients and hair that is full of energy.”

The launch, driven by the campaign, focuses on key markets of the Hindi speaking belt. In addition to the TVC, it is being promoted through high impact outdoor and print campaign, an engaging digital campaign and cinema branding, amongst others.

BBH India CCO & managing partner Russell Barrett added, “Hair & Care Fruit Oils is a first of its kind hair oil for a younger audience and hence our advertising had to reflect that. What excited us was the innovation of the product, so, we wondered what if we could have people feel the energy and goodness of fruit rather than merely present a logical argument for it. And our partners at Marico said, why not!”

  • BBH India releases health campaign with real cast and crew

MUMBAI: In a unique attempt to create realism, BBH India has released an ad film for the pharma firm Abbott Healthcare Pvt Ltd on TV and digital on 22 May, featuring the real cast and crew of the film who come together to overcome a specific health condition.

The film extends to create an integrated approach to story-telling with each of the eight key cast and crew telling his or her own story. The campaign became possible because of their spirit, backed by modern healthcare and Abbott’s breakthrough products.

Talking about the campaign, Abbott regional marketing officer Joshua Grace said, “Helping people live their healthy and full lives is why we come to work. We have been creating breakthrough health products for over 125 years, and we recognize the unstoppable spirit of people, who are getting on and living amazing lives, despite the health challenges they face. This campaign is about telling the story of their spirit and inspiring others to feel they too can do the same.”

BBH India CCO and managing partner Russell Barrett said, “It’s so much more persuasive to do instead of saying. That’s what we’ve managed with this campaign. Instead of merely capturing an actor, in a situation, we’ve turned the camera inwards and demonstrated how amazingly resilient and unstoppable people are when confronted with health challenges. It was a huge challenge to create a film like this and that we succeeded is a testament to the brilliance of the cast and crew behind the ad.”

The campaign story focuses on how modern healthcare has helped people to push past the seemingly impossible to have a life full of rich experiences and fulfilling moments. In line with Abbott’s philosophy, ‘Life.to the fullest’, this campaign builds on Abbott’s 2016 campaign by BBH India. The TVC naturally extends from last year’s activity also created by BBH India, which received an overwhelming response from across the industry.  Last year’s radio campaign showcased three real people who recorded live radio ads while rafting through rapids, paragliding, or running the Ladakh marathon, despite facing heart disease, diabetes and the challenge of ageing healthily. It was the first ever radio campaign to be recorded live.

BBH India managing partner and CEO Subhash Kamath said, “I think we’re onto something really big and long lasting. Real stories of real people, living life to the fullest, were something we started last year on radio and online video. We are taking it to the next level this year by creating a real story for television too.”

  • BBH’s three quirky films for Creo Mark 1 smartphone

BBH’s three quirky films for Creo Mark 1 smartphone

NEW DELHI: The CREO Mark 1, which claims to come out as a new phone every month with never-heard-before features, has now come out with three quirky films that show how its features Echo, Sense and Retriever can be used in different situations. The creative agency is BBH India.

The aim of the Bangalore based consumer technology company Creo   is to make sure that ‘what you see is what you get.’   Earlier, the process of metamorphosis showed that software updates could transform the smartphone experience.

The short films tease the use-cases in which the end-customer will need unique features. These videos, active on all company properties, are going to be integral add-ons to the extensively spread out digital campaign that the brand has undertaken.

The aim is to show how life becomes simpler with a smartphone and #MakeBetter Android with features like Echo, Sense and Retriever that are in-built in the Fuel OS that runs CREO Mark 1. The three films employ metaphorical elements, making the core proposition simple to understand, while being relatable to consumers in a humorous manner.

The messages are – with these features, one will never miss a call again because Mark 1 will Echo it; search for anything in your phone that is overflowing with apps and data only by typing it out and Mark 1 will Sense it; and never lose a phone to a thief as it can be got back with a Retriever.

To understand how Echo, Sense and Retriever can be used in different situations, BBH India explains these unique and useful features playfully and vivaciously.

Speaking about the campaign, BBH India Managing Partner and Chief Creative Officer Russell Barrett said, “The excitement of ‘Making’ and helping craft this brand from the very beginning is quite a trip. Along with the lovely people at CREO and through BBH Live we managed to conceive of, write, direct and co-produce these simple, stylish looking films. Hopefully the simplicity and the finish will be something that people appreciate and like.”

  • BedBathMore.com repositions; launches new look

    BedBathMore.com repositions; launches new look

MUMBAI: Home community platform BedBathMore.com has repositioned itself with a new consumer offering. Along with the new site, the company has also got a new brand identity.

BedBathMore.com had recently acqui-hired Homado and Crude Area, with the aim of building a holistic environment, which moves beyond commerce and focuses on building content and community too.

The creative idea for the campaign is built on the idea – ‘You Change. So should your home’. It represents the change people undergo as they progress through different stages of life and how it’s reflected in their choices of home decor.

BBH India has executed the entire campaign by designing an innovative and interactive print campaign. The ad is made of two halves depicting the life of an individual told through the home. The ad has one half depicting a ‘before marriage’ home and the other a ‘after marriage’ one.

Ambigram has been used for the campaign which reads differently depending on how readers hold the paper. While one orientation reveals the word as love, turning the paper around changes the same word to ‘can’t’. The copy reads: ‘Can’t see myself getting married.’ Turning the ad around, the copy reads ‘Love being married.’

BedBathMore.com founder and managing director Amit Dalmia said, “The intention with our renewed proposition is to enable social and discovery commerce and more importantly to provide a platform that enables collaboration between like minded home owners and experts alike. In totality it empowers users to find everything they would need or aspire to have in their homes through the changing phases of their lives. The ad campaign represents the very same sentiment in a very interesting manner using an ambigram and visuals which are reflective of changes that we experience as we transition through our everyday life.”

BBH India CCO and managing partner Russell Barrett added, “Very often print is used as a reminder and is the poor cousin of the preferred film. So it’s great to be able to crack and execute an idea especially for print. Great craft and a well executed ad only happens when you have a brilliant team working on it, both in the agency and on the clients side too.”

BedBathMore.com will soon come out with the next leg of the print campaign, followed by OOH, BTL and radio activations.
