MUMBAI: ETC Networks’ net profit has fallen to Rs 17.5 million for the first quarter ended 30 June 2005-6, from Rs 18.1 million a year ago.
Total revenue has reduced 7 per cent to Rs 104 million during the period. However, profit before tax has jumped 26 per cent to Rs 26.5 million, as against Rs 21.1 million a year ago.
ETC Music and ETC Punjabi have been banking on events to increase its revenues. ETC Music is starting a new show ETC Nautanki Top 9′ on 29 July which will allow viewers to vote for the top nine songs through SMS.
