    Roopam Garg elevated to CEO of dentsu X India

    Mumbai: Dentsu India has elevated Roopam Garg to the role of dentsu X (dX) India CEO, effective immediately. He will continue to report to CEO for media South Asia Divya Karani.

    Garg, who has been in the role of chief operating officer (COO) of dX India for five years, will now lead the media agency and accelerate its growth, said the agency in a statement.

    “We are living in exciting times, with many new progress prospects ahead of us. I am confident that under Roopam’s leadership and his intuitive ability to assemble highly motivated teams, the best days are yet to come,” said Divya Karani.

    During his role as COO, Garg played a key role in accelerating dentsu X’s growth. He brings over two decades of experience in communication/media holding senior leadership roles spanning across five regions/markets India, MENA, China, Vietnam and London. Prior to this, he has held senior leadership roles as Publicis Groupe Vietnam managing director of and ZenithOptimedia Group India COO.

    In his new role as CEO, Garg will be responsible for carrying forward the learnings of seamless integrated consumer and brand interaction to drive holistic communication planning for clients’ businesses. Aligned with the global plan of transforming into the world’s most integrated group by 2024, dX India’s growth story will further accelerate dentsu India 2.0.

    MUMBAI: dentsu X India, an integrated media specialist, part of Dentsu Aegis Network, has roped in Roopam Garg as the chief client officer (CCO).

    Garg brings with him a rich experience of 22 years across multiple markets; India, MENA, China, Vietnam, London. His diverse set of exposure spans across FMCG majors, (P&G, Coke, Reckitt Benckiser) Two Wheeler (HMSI), Cars (Tata Motors) and Durable (Samsung)

    Given his multi-market, cross category experience, Garg is adept at global best practices. He has tweaked global tools into the Indian market and has also developed strategic media approaches between consumers, brands and their market performance which was then rolled out and adopted in other global markets.

    Garg’s ability to bring multi-functional teams together to see the unified goal is summed up with his motto, “Brand Wins, We Win”.

    ZenithOptimedia appoints Roopam Garg as COO

    MUMBAI:Publicis Groupe’s media services group, ZenithOptimedia India, has appointed Roopam Garg as chief operating officer, India.

    Until recently, Garg was managing director, PGM across ZenithOptimedia, Starcommediavest and central buying team at Zenithoptimedia in London. He will report to ZenithOptimedia India CEO Satyajit Sen.

    Said Sen, “Roopam comes with enormous network experience and will provide the necessary fillip to our ongoing success in India. His success with ZOG’s premier and blue chip clients will also go a long way in leveraging our position for critical business acquisitions.”

    Garg added, “My experience across regions has given me significant understanding on increased market share and I intend to work in tandem with Satyajit towards growing our visibility in this market place.”
