    Star Movies to air ‘Kiss of the Dragon’ on 26 June

    This Saturday, 26 June, Star Movies kicks off its Exclusive Saturday Premiere with the action thriller Kiss of the Dragon. The movie stars the martial arts superstar Jet Li, along with Bridget Fonda and Techky Karyo.

    Jet Li of Romeo Must Die fame joins forces with visionary filmmaker Luc Besson in Kiss of the Dragon. Li plays Liu Jiuan, China's top government agent, who arrives in Paris from Shanghai to assist Richard (Tcheky Karyo) in carrying out a sensitive top-secret mission. But the mission goes horribly wrong, as the man Liu had come to help, betrays him and Liu gets trapped in a vast and deadly conspiracy.

    Interestingly, Jet Li, the Asian martial arts superstar has produced and written the story of the film himself.

    MUMBAI: 31 days of non-stop excitement is what HBO plans to offer the viewers this December. HBO will present a countdown of blockbuster movies as a part of its extend ‘New Year’ celebration.

    All December, the channel will get the big names of Hollywood, everyday at 9:00 pm. The English movie channel will telecast exclusive premieres of mega movies like American Pie 2, The Grinch, Zoolander and Vanilla Sky on Saturday Night Blockbusters.

    Besides the blockbuster weekend nights, HBO plans to takes viewers down memory lane with HBO Blockbuster Marathon, scheduled to air weekdays at 9:00 pm, says a company release. The movie channel will get in the rewind mode and air some of the greatest Hollywood movies from Mondays to Thursdays and the Best of HBO 2003 on Fridays. 

    Jumpstarting the Saturday Night Blockbusters series is the teen comedy American Pie 2 on 6 December. The Universal Picture sequel reunites the entire ensemble cast of the original comedy boldly taking ‘the next step’ into the fringes of adulthood. Next in the pipeline is Ben Stiller as a dimwitted & vain, male model who doesn’t realize that he’s been earmarked as the patsy in an international fashion conspiracy to assassinate a prime minister in the side-splitting comedy Zoolander on 13 December.

    On 20 December Jim Carrey will showcase his histrionics in Ron Howard’s The Grinch. The Oscar winning big-budget, live-action update of Dr. Seuss’ classic story is about a creature intent on ruining the Christmas spirit of the citizens of Whoville,says the release.

    In the next in the line is Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz starrer Vanilla Sky. It is a story of a successful publisher, who finds his life taking a turn for the surreal after a car accident with a jaded lover. A mind-twisting psychological thriller of mythic proportions is directed by Cameron Crowe has Tom Cruise starring as the rich & famous magazine publisher, Penelope Cruz, stars as his love interest, & Julie Gianni played by Cameron Diaz. The film will air on 27 December.

    While the HBO Superstar Sundays kicks off with Brad Pitt starring as an 18th-century nobleman bitten by a powerful vampire in Interview with the Vampire on 7 December. On 14 December catch Bruce Willis, will play a husband going through hard times after fifteen years of marriage in The Story Of Us, starring alongside Michelle Pfeiffer. 

    Next in the line are Sylvester Stallone, as suave narcotics detective in the action packed Tango & Cash on 21 December and Wesley Snipes as a cop trying to protect his foster brother in Money Train on 28 December.

    On the Best of HBO 2003, the movie channel will air the action packed mega blockbuster sequel Mission Impossible 2, starring Tom Cruise on 5 December, the cult- classic Enter The Dragon, starring Bruce Lee on 12 December, the sci-fi blockbuster Hollow Man, starring Kevin Bacon on 19 December and the daredevil ex-legionnaire and his archeologist wife’s attempt to stop the once-again resurrected Egyptian high priest in The Mummy Returns, starring Brendan Fraser on 26 December. 

    Besides that the rest of the list includes blockbuster movies like Lara Croft: The Tomb Raider, Wild Wild West, The Mummy, Romeo Must Die, Spy Game, Vertical Limit, Nutty Professor II and The Fast And The Furious.
