    MUMBAI: Romedy Now, in collaboration with designer Ken Ferns is all set to launch its merchandising line of clothing – the LOVE. LAUGH. LIVE. collection at the India Beach Fashion Week.

    The fifth edition of the event being held in Goa will witness celebrity Gauhar Khan unveil the stylish collection.

    Times Network executive VP and head–entertainment cluster, Vivek Srivastava said, “From being a television channel, we are now foraying into the fashion space by launching our first “Love Laugh Live” themed collection at the India Beach Fashion Week – season 5. The idea of introducing the branded clothing line is to strengthen our connect with our viewers and the target audience. From flirtatious frills to bright sunshine colors, this clothing line will spell Romance. It’s time now to wear the Love.”

    The collection revolves around the basic purpose and fundamentals of healthy living and loving. It symbolises the essence of life; to spread love, laughter and cheer. From bright sunny days to sunshine smiles, blushed cheeks and colors that spell Love, this collection will bring to life the feeling of a romantic touch, warmth and humor spread by Romedy Now.

    MUMBAI: Taking advantage of people’s presence at home during Diwali and most likely in front of the TV screens, English movie channels have strengthened their programming lineup.

    Times Network has curated a month long content for each of its English movies channels except MNX. MNX will feature a Harry Potter movie marathon from 16–23 October at 9pm.

    Movies Now has lined up explosive blockbusters from 2 October 2017, every weekday at 11pm including The Pacifier, National Treasure: Book Of Secrets, Race To Witch Mountain, Rush Hour 2, 10,000 BC.

    In communication with Indiantelevision.com Havas Media Group-India MD Mohit Joshi said, “The viewership of English Movies platform is stable as of now. However, the revenues have got impacted because of the downward trend in advertising spends. As the viewership and penetration of OTT platforms mature, content will drive revenues and whoever has better content will be the winner.”

    Joshi pointed out that this year there is no festive rate increment in English movies genre and neither for other genres.

    Romedy Now has a special line-up for the festival of Diwali called ‘Diwali Delights’. It began on 2 October and will go on till the end of the month, everyday at 9 pm. Movies lined up include Serendipity, 2 Weeks Notice, Runaway Bride, A Lot Like Love, Pitch Perfect, 10 Things I Hate About You, It’s Complicated, French Kiss, When In Rome and Pretty Woman.

    Sony PIX brings Hollywood blockbusters via ‘PIX Amazing Aces’ Festival for a full month leading up to Diwali. Movies include The Mummy series, Fast and Furious series and Jurassic Park series.

    AXN, home to iconic shows and characters, brings a special line-up for Diwali week. This Diwali, binge-watch seasons of America’s Next Top Model S22, the Amazing Race S26, American Ninja Warrior S6, Survivor S32 and Fear Factor S5. These thrilling shows are sure to give you a mind rush to keep your Diwali week an ultimate celebration.

  • Discover a friend in your mom, on Romedy Now

    MUMBAI: Romedy Now is celebrating this Mother’s Day with a fun-filled line-up of special movies that salutes super moms around the world. The channel will be airing dedicated property titled ‘Mum’s The World’ featuring movies such as Life As We Know It, Mamma Mia, Parent Trap, Raising Helen, Ice Princess and My Mom’s New Boyfriend on 14 May from 9 am to 9 pm.

    To make this Mother’s Day even more special, Romedy Now conducted a unique social experiment to help teenagers and young adults develop a deeper bond of friendship with their mothers. The experiment ‘#ConfessionsOFAMom’ had mothers confessing their secrets such as like ‘I had my first drink when I was 14’, ‘I was once suspended from college for excessive ragging’, ‘I broke your sister’s watch and let you take the blame’ etc. on camera. We then took their confessions and created a Gallery of Confessions. We invited their children inside the gallery and asked them to guess which confession belongs to their mother, while the mothers watched their children’s reaction on camera. The idea behind this experiment was that when we discover secrets about our mother, we start seeing her in a new light, and that leads to the beginning of a truly honest and beautiful friendship.

  • Romedy NOW claims new experience with ‘SteppinOut’

    MUMBAI: Romedy Now, the channel known to spread love and laughter with its line-up of best rom-coms on TV, has taken the experience to the next level. The channel recently partnered with SteppinOut Movie Nights to launch a special Romedy Now edition – a unique concept that curates open air movie screenings to offer a mesmerizing movie viewing experience. SteppinOut Movie Nights – Romedy Now edition’s 1st screening was hosted by the pool at Novotel.

    With Romedy themed décor, bean bag seating, popcorn tub and a complete bar, the experience was enhanced to the maximum at the pool side screening. An icing on the cake was when the channel gave its viewers a chance to recreate iconic movie posters featuring themselves, in a funky photo booth!

    An interesting part about SteppinOut Nights – Romedy Now edition was that people were given a chance to vote for their favourite movie from a curated list of all-time hits like When Harry met Sally, Pretty Woman, Crazy Stupid Love, 50 First Dates, The Notebook &The Proposal.

    Additionally, to offer an exciting experience online to all the social media fans, Romedy Now launched a campaign ‘Ideal Proposal – to propose and be proposed’. As a part of this campaign, the fans were asked to share their idea of a fairy tale proposal and the most quirky yet romantic ideas were given couple tickets for the amazing SteppinOut movie night.

  • Cooper’s ‘Burnt’ on Romedy NOW! on Sunday

    MUMBAI: Ever felt like kitchen is the only place you’ve ever belonged to? If yes, then Romedy NOW is set to treat everyone from excellent chefs to foodies and movie lovers, with the Indian TV premiere of comedy-drama movie Burnt. The movie will be aired on Sunday, 26 February, at 1:00pm and 9:00pm.

    Directed by Primetime Emmy Award winner John John Wells, starring Oscar Award winning actor Bradley Cooper (Adam Jones) and BAFTA Award winner Sienna Miller (Helene) in the main roles, the story is about Chef Adam Jones who had it all – and lost it. A rockstar with bad habit, who was once a rising star in the restaurant world, is now recovering from a drug addiction that had destroyed his promising career. After getting cleaned up he heads to London to take the helm of a top restaurant and is determined to earn three Michelin stars, but not without his best team.

    An interesting trivia about the film is that World renowned chefs Gordon Ramsay, Marco Pierre White, Marcus Wareing and Clare Smyth provided inspiration for Cooper’s character – Adam Jones, though Cooper most closely emulates Ramsay’s characteristic kitchen rants.

  • Romedy Now launches #FurrentinesDay film, garners 1.5 mn views

    MUMBAI: This year, celebrate Valentine Day with a furry twist on Romedy Now. The channel has launched a unique property- #FurrentinesDay, to celebrate Valentine’s with animals – pets and abandoned stray friends. This property has been launched in association with Cat Café Studio and People for Animals with an aim to help animals get a merrier and furrier future.

    The on-ground event for this unique initiative took place at Cat Cafe Studio in Andheri. The event dazzled in the presence of famous celebrities, Richa Chadda, Zareen Khan, culinary chef and well known author Maria Goretti and famous wrestler Sangram Singh.

    The integrated campaign on TV and social media started from 1 February 2017 with a series of videos, celebrity bytes, animal profiles and trivia on social media. The campaign received support and tremendous response on social media with the #FurrentinesDay launch film garnering 1.5 million views on Facebook within 48 hours.

    Romedy Now will pay its ultimate tribute to animals by launching a beautiful #FurrentinesDay film starring singer and actor Meiyang Chang. The film will be launched on 14 February across all Romedy Now platforms – on air, digital and social media.

    Additionally, well known faces like John Abraham, Meneka Gandhi, Singer Shaan, Jackky Bhagnani, Ali Fazal, Sunny Leone, Sophie Chaudary, Tara Sharma and many more shared the video to their followers and put out their video bytes in support of the initiative.

    Chadda said, “It’s great that Romedy Now has taken this responsibility of spreading awareness about animal welfare because channels like these can reach a wider target audience. I personally love cats and I am happy to be associated with #FurrentinesDay as I feel everyone deserves love on Valentines – humans and animals alike! One of the aims of the initiative is to find loving homes for these homeless indigenous species of cats.”

    Khan added, “It’s every individual’s responsibility to make sure that no living being is ill-treated, be it humans or animals. I love cats and I feel deeply for them as they can’t ask for what they need and as human I feel we should be sensitive towards them. I’m glad to be here and associating with Romedy Now for this cause has been really worthwhile. I want to tell everyone that please support this initiative of #Furrentine’sDay and show some love to these animals.”

    Goretti said, “Animals are our best companions and it is our responsibility to take care of them. My children love animals and they feel happy around them and therefore I am happy that I could support #FurrentinesDay – a unique initiative by Romedy Now that goes beyond just loving humans. Animals are dependent on us and I want to take this platform to tell people that we need to look beyond our own interests and help these little creatures live a healthy life.”

    Singh, who was brand ambassador of People For Animals said, “I want to thank Romedy Now for taking up this initiative. We must care for animals just like we care for our children because they are also like children. They are one of us and we need to treat them well. They are more loyal than humans and give us unconditional love! I come from a small town where we take special care of animals. I would like to take this opportunity to support this initiative and spread awareness.”

    Viewers and fans, as a part of the digital campaign, can tweet about their love for animals by using the hashtag #FurrentinesDay! For every tweet received, Romedy Now will make a contribution to Cat Café Studio and People For Animals to help the cause of animal welfare. The campaign has received over 2500 tweets so far and is still counting.

    On 14 February 2017, Romedy Now will go on a Valentine’s Day date with its furry friends at Cat Café Studio. The channel’s Facebook page will live stream the V Day party and celebrations from there.

    On television, Romedy Now has lined up special movies on 12 February to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Films like Marmaduke, 101 Dalmatians, 102 Dalmatians, Cats and Dogs, Beverly Hills Chihuahua & Princess Diary will be aired all day.

    While everyone indulges in some quintessential Diwali rituals of playing cards and eating King-size meals, the channel will air Queen Helena, played by Elizabeth Hurley, along with Princess Eleanor and Prince Liam starrer The Royals. The viewers can binge-watch the season 1 and season 2 on 29 October and 30 October 10:30 am onwards.

    Comedy Central

    Comedy Central is all set to light up the weekend with an unconventional and amusingly opinionated family of the Carmichaels! The channel will air The Carmichaels Show on 29 and 30 October 4 pm onwards.

    Movies Now

    The channel plans to showcase special properties this Diwali, called Fireworks and Boom Boom Blast. Fireworks began from 24 October and will air movies at 9 pm. The line-up of movies includes Dracula Untold, Fast Five, 2012, Godzilla, Edge Of Tomorrow & Furious 6.

    The other property which started from 3 October ended on 28 October which showcased movies like, Into The Storm, The Darkest Hour, Godzilla, Spiderman 2 and Olympus Has Fallen.

    Romedy Now

    The channel is set to broadcast a new property called Diwali Delights. In this property, popular titled like, The Duff, What if, We’re the Millers, About Time, A Little Bit of Heaven, Blended, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, Endless Love, Begin Again, Cuban Fury, etc will be aired from 24 October to 4 November every Monday to Friday at 11 pm.
