    Times Network movie channels announce Diwali lineup

    Mumbai: Times Network movie channels Movies Now, MNX, Romedy Now, and MN+ have announced a special programming lineup for Diwali.

    Movies Now will air films like “XXX: Return of Xander Cage,” “Quantum of Solace,” “Bumblebee,” “Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen,” and “Men In Black: International” at 9 p.m every night. It will also air films like “Die Another Day,” “Apocalypto,” “Sherlock Holmes,” “Spectre” and more on weekdays at 11 p.m. 

    On 4 November, the channel will bring the biggest blockbuster superhero films like “Wonder Woman 1984,” “Spiderman: Far from Home,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” and “Transformers: The Last Knight.”

    MNX will air films like “Source Code,” “The Tuxedo,” “Zombieland: Double Tap,” “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” “Walking Tall,” and “The World is Not Enough” every day at 9 p.m.

    Romedy Now will telecast the films “13 Going on 30,” “Monte Carlo,” “Marmaduke,” “Fly Me To The Moon” starting at 11 p.m every night. It will also air films such as “The Hustle,” “French Kiss,” “The Vow,” “Zookeeper,” “Where’d You Go, Bernadette” and more on 4 and 5 November starting at 8 a.m onwards.

    MN+ will air films such as “Irma La Douce,” “The Comfort of Strangers,” “Company Business” and more every night at 11 p.m. On 4 and 5 November, it will showcase “Bright Nights,” “Rain Man,” “The Internship,” “The Terminal,” “Erin Brockovich,” “Birdman,” “Raging Bull” and more from 9 a.m onwards.

    MN+ & Romedy NOW to simulcast Indian television premiere of Little Women

    MUMBAI: Offering best of Hollywood movies to its viewers, MN+ and Romedy Now is all set to simulcast the Indian television premiere of Little Women, on 29 November, at 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM. An adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's 1868-69 two-volume novel of the same name, Little Women is a modern retelling of the original story and marks the 150 anniversary of the release of the book.

    Directed by Clare Niederpruem, the movie stars Lea Thompson, Sarah Davenport, Allie Jennings, Melanie Stone, Taylor Murphy and Elsie Jones. A contemporary narration of sisterhood, Little Women follows the lives of four sisters – Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy March, detailing their passage from childhood to womanhood. The movie much like the classic fiction, is predominantly focused on Jo (played by Sarah Davenport), an aspiring writer living in New York, while back home in Massachusetts, her sisters carry on with their own lives. The film’s screenplay weaves together their past and present to show how they cling to optimism during harsh times and as they mature they face blossoming ambitions and relationships, as well as tragedy, while maintaining their unbreakable bond as sisters.

    The movie continues to celebrate the spunk, bravery and love of the March sisters and explores the theme of womanhood in today’s century.

    Mumbai: Offering some of the most celebrated Hollywood movies of all time to its viewers, MN+ and Romedy NOW will simulcast the Indian Television premiere of the American supernatural movie, ‘Fast Color’ this Sunday October 25, at 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

    Written and directed by Julia Hart, starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Lorraine Toussaint, and Saniyya Sidney, Fast Color narrates an inspiring story of redemption, recovery and healing, featuring three generations of strong women coming to terms with their special abilities. Set in the American Midwest, in a dystopian near-future, the movie allows space for questions and confusion. The story revolves around a woman named Ruth (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), who is forced to go on the run when her superpowers are discovered. She flees back to her family where she begins to mend the broken relationships with her mother and daughter and learns that the power she needed was inside her all along. With an introspective take on the superhero movie, Fast Color is a sci-fi film which exploits the superhero ethos, leaving audiences pondering at the end. The movie received praise for its visual style, performances, direction, and stimulating story.

    Romedy NOW celebrates Children’s Day with #WingsToDream

    MUMBAI: Romedy Now, India’s one of the leading English Entertainment Channel celebrates this Children’s Day with its unique initiative, #WingsToDream that empowers children to explore and live their dreams.

    In partnership with CRY and Kidzania, Romedy Now organized day long workshops in Mumbai and Delhi for children from less privileged backgrounds, giving them an opportunity to experience myriad directions that their careers can take.     Times Network reduces Mirror Now MRP, launches new bouquet for English movie channels at Rs 10

    MUMBAI: Times Network has revised the MRP of Mirror Now and introduced a new bouquet of three channels Romedy Now, Movies Now and MNX at Rs 10.

    According to the new Reference Interconnect Offer (RIO), the broadcaster has reduced the MRP of news channel Mirror Now to Rs 0.5 from Rs 2.

    The new bouquet named "Bouquet 5" is the first English movie channel only bouquet with three channesl – Romedy Now, Movies Now and MNX at RS 10. The network now has five bouquets as offerings along with 12 channels. The other existing bouquets remain untouched with no change in rate or number of channels.

    Under the new tariff order regulations, the distributors of television channels are currently not obliged to sign the amended RIOs unless the existing signed RIO expires.

    The price change would only be visible across DPOs if and when they sign the new amended RIO once it kicks into effect. The newly amended RIO of the network will come in force from 14 September.

    Times Network had earlier in April amended its RIO to rename Times Now HD as Times Now World (HD) along with the addition of Times Now to its Bouquet 3 and Bouquet 4.
