    MUMBAI: DNA Networks, the pioneers in mega live entertainment in India are back with the Second Edition of their well-received Electronic Music Property- SOUND AWAKE.

    The festival will be held in Bangalore, Karnataka on December 1, 2013 and will see many spectacular live performances, including the likes of American Electro House DJ/ Producer Steve Aoki – one of the major headliners at the festival. The festival will feature 4 stages and is being held in collaboration with dance record label giants Ministry of Sound and HedKandi. In tandem with the world’s top dance record labels, DNA with SOUND AWAKE is set to bring the best of the world’s EDM to India.

    Steve Aoki – Steve Aoki, the DJ/Producer, among many traits also founded his own label, Dim Mak Records, in 1996. The label has released music by other electro house artists such as Datsik, Infected Mushroom, Dada Life, Zeds Dead, his own collaboration with Tiesto, MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots, Felix Cartal and Mustard Pimp, as well as by Bloc Party, Battles, The Kills, The Gossip, Klaxons, Scanners, Whitey, and Mystery Jets to name a few.     MUMBAI: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is now making his move to HBO, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The cable network has announced a new pilot in the pipeline that will star Johnson, and will see both him and his Pain & Gain co-star Mark Wahlberg as executive-producers.
     
    Stephen Levinson, Wahlberg‘s Entourage producing partner, will not only write the script but also be producing the show. The show is being described as a half-hour ‘dramedy‘ following the lives of active and retired athletes residing in Miami.
     
    Perter Berg director of the sci-fi flick Battleship, who also directed an episode of Entourage in 2012, is to helm the pilot.
     
    This marks the most topical Wahlberg-Levinson collaboration for the network – in addition to Entourage, the two have also been attached to Boardwalk Empire, In Treatment, and How to Make It in America.

    MUMBAI: HP has joined forces with entertainment giants Universal Music and Hungama.com to launch subscription-based music service in India called HP Connected Music.

    The service provides unlimited rental downloadable music free of charge for one year. This brand new service is available on selected HP notebooks with the imbedded Windows 8 launcher.

    With the new range of HP consumer notebooks featuring Windows 8, consumers can now enjoy music on the move – with acess to their favourite music anywhere, anytime. HP Connected Music is available in India on selected consumer notebooks.

    HP Connected Music has been introduced in India to provide HP customers exclusive content and access to Hungama.com’s and Universal Music‘s diverse catalogue which includes over 1 million songs from more than 20,000 artists from different genres inlcuding Bollywood, Devotional, Rock, Classic, Hip Hop, Jazz, Regional, R&B, Country and others.

    Consumers will have access to unique content such as previews, behind the scenes, VIP events and many more, to connect with their favourite artists, including the likes of A. R. Rehman, Sonu Nigam, Priyanka Chopra, Anoushka Shankar, Euphoria and international artists like Justin Bieber, Lady GaGa, Aerosmith, Akon among others.

    Paramount debuts films on iTunes

    MUMBAI: Paramount Pictures has announced the debut of hit movies on the online iTunes Store.

    From this month, movie fans will be able to choose from over 100 movies from Paramount Pictures, Paramount Classics, MTV Films, and Nickelodeon Movies. Titles from Paramount Vantage will be available later in the year.

     
    The titles and genres includes comedies such as School of Rock and Zoolander, action-thrillers such as A Sum of All Fears and The Italian Job, classics such as Chinatown and Breakfast at Tiffany’s and science-fiction favorites such as the first six Star Trek movies. These movies are available for purchase and download for $9.99 and can be viewed on a computer or fifth generation iPod.
