    Myntra Launches Luxury Fashion brand, Pernia’s POP-UP SHOP ahead of the wedding season

    Mumbai: Myntra announces the launch of ‘Pernia’s POP-UP SHOP’, the luxury fashion store for men and women offering exclusive designer merchandise from leading names in the world of fashion. With this association, Myntra will now offer a range of designer wear for women from over 25 leading Indian designers including Ritu Kumar, Masaba, Mandira Wirk and Namrata Joshipura among others.

    Customers can take their pick across a range of designer sarees, lehengas, dresses, kurta sets and gowns catering to traditional occasions, wedding trousseau, evening soirees and cocktail parties. The collection will be available on Myntra at a price range of rupees 10,000 to rupees 1,50,000.

    Pernia’s POP-UP SHOP’ is owned by Purple Style Labs (PSL), a luxury Indian fashion house with an omni-channel presence. The association with Myntra is intended at introducing the brand to a much larger shopper base across the country, setting the pace for growth and wider reach. Products from ‘Pernia’s POP-UP SHOP’ are currently available on the brand’s online platform and offline stores across the country.

    Ritu Kumar signs Nimrat Kaur for debut ad

    MUMBAI: Designer brand Ritu Kumar has launched its debut TVC featuring the brand’s Festive Winter 2017 collection.

    Nimrat Kaur, critically acclaimed Bollywood actress is the face of the campaign.

    Conceptualised by Amrish Kumar, CEO of Ritu Kumar, the TVC celebrates the contemporary Indian woman and stresses upon innate values of truthfulness, strength, integrity and honesty. Photographer Bikramjit Bose and videographer Christina MacGillivray shot the campaign featuring videos and stills of an ethereal Kaur in Mumbai.

    Amrish Kumar says, “Our first ever television commercial aims at reaching out to a larger audience. We are seeing a rising level of sophistication in today’s consumer and we are looking to expose the Ritu Kumar brand to them. 2018 marks the 50th year for the company and the TVC is a apt way to announce this event.     4th Lycra MTV Style Awards announced

    MUMBAI: MTV India has announced the fourth edition of its style awards. The Lycra MTV Style Awards 2006 will be held on 14 October in Mumbai at the MMRDA Bandra Kurla Complex.

    After ‘Desi Cool’ in 2003, ‘Circus’ in 2004 and ‘Military’ in 2005, the theme this year is ‘Celebrating Style’. In keeping with the theme, this year’s function will feature an explosion of colour with the year’s chosen designers – Neeta Lulla, Ritu Kumar, JJ Valaya, and Rohit Gandhi-Rahul Khanna presenting their lines.

    Creating exclusive designs solely for the event, each designer will team up with a music performer to present a fusion of fashion and music. Additionally, designer Suneet Verma has been assigned the task of creating a special line for the opening sequence that will set the tone for the evening.

    Divided into three broad categories – Popular, Technical and Honours, the Lycra MTV Style Awards 2006 will be presented to people in fashion, films, sports, television, business, politics and music. The nominees include actors Abhishek Bachchan and Preity Zinta, singer Himesh Reshammiya and television host Mandira Bedi, among others.

    A change this year is that the event is being ramped up in terms of scale and size and will be held outdoors. Secondly, the size of the judging panel has been broadened to 29 (from eight). Additionally, this year’s awards are extending beyond Mumbai to two more cities – Kolkata and Bangalore.

    The Style Awards 2006 will also be promoted through an extensive campaign running across print, outdoor, on-air, mobile and online via mtvindia.com. Media partners on the event include Red FM and women’s lifestyle magazine Marie Claire.
