    MUMBAI: Eros Now, one of the fastest growing digital over-the-top (OTT) South Asian entertainment platforms, owned by Eros International Plc, has announced a strategic partnership with Smartron, a Sachin Tendulkar-backed India-based IoT startup, to provide its extensive entertainment repertoire to Smartron smartphone customers.

    Eros Now will be the exclusive digital OTT service for entertainment content on all Smartron devices. Sachin Tendulkar is an Indian sporting legend and one of the most accomplished cricket players of all time. He is the only player to complete more than 30,000 runs in international cricket.

    As their preferred partners, Eros Now will provide its vast repository of movies, television shows, music, originals and regional content across multiple languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, Punjabi and Marathi to all Smartron customers. Eros Now will leverage from Smartron’s extensive marketing campaigns and packaging to promote the partnership.
    The smartphone user base in India reached 300 million in 2016 with the market growing by 18% as per a report by Counterpoint’s Research, paving the way for India to become the second-biggest smartphone market in terms of active unique smartphone users.

    MUMBAI: Eros Now, one of the fastest growing over-the-top (OTT) Indian entertainment platforms owned by Eros International Plc, has announced a strategic integration deal with India’s leading mobile app for transportation, Ola’s connected car platform for ridesharing, Ola Play. This strategic revenue-sharing partnership through Eros Now subscriptions will enable an immersive and personalized experience which customers can seamlessly control through their smartphones as well as a device mounted at the back of the seat.

    Powered by proprietary in-car and cloud technologies from Ola, Ola Play brings advanced car controls, choice of personalized content and a fully-connected interactive experience for its customers.   • Eros Now available with free Amazon Fire TV subs

    MUMBAI: Eros Now, one of the fastest growing over-the-top (OTT) Indian entertainment platforms, owned by Eros International Plc has announced a strategic partnership with Amazon in India and their recently launched internet streaming device, Fire TV stick.

    Users can enjoy Eros Now’s uninterrupted entertainment services as the app is now pre-installed on Fire TV sticks purchased in India. In addition, Fire TV customers will also receive a three-month free premium subscription to Eros Now, currently priced at Rs 99/month. Following the free trial, Eros Now will receive 70% of all revenue generated from Eros Now subscriptions from Amazon Fire TV. Amazon will be co-marketing the Eros Now service and promoting the app across India with Amazon Fire TV.

    The Fire TV stick can be connected into any high-definition television and used to stream video and audio content, apps, games and more on television.     Eros Now to premiere original series ‘Salute Siachen’ on 15 Jan

    MUMBAI: Eros Now has announced the premiere of it’s original series, Salute Siachen. The series will be aired on 15 January, Army Day.

    This first celebrity expedition carried out in association with HTC, to the world’s second longest glacier and highest battlefield was to honour the Indian Army and salute their selfless contribution to the country.

    The five-part series shot by the nine celebrity participants on HTC phones takes you through a whirlwind of emotions as they embark upon the toughest journey of their life. The 20-day trek saw popular faces from different walks of life come together to salute the Indian Army.

    The celebrity participants underwent rigorous training and prepping for the expedition that began with an acclimatization trek to Stok Kangri base. Bollywood actors Arjun Rampal, Arunoday Singh, sports personalities – cricketer Rudra Pratap Singh and hockey player Yuvraj Walmiki, TV heartthrob Rannvijay Singha along with Namrata Gujaran, Hasan Zaidi, Shlok Sharma and Sonnalli Seygall battled out extreme weather conditions to scale the unpredictable Siachen.

    Speaking on the launch of the series on Eros Now digital CEO Rishika Lulla Singh said, “Salute Siachen is a unique initiative and a humble tribute showcasing our appreciation of the accomplishments of the Indian army and what better occasion than the Army Day to launch this series paying tribute to the valor of our soldiers.”

    MUMBAI: Folks at Eros are popping bottles of champagne! Eros International’s OTT platform Eros Now has achieved two million paid subscribers worldwide through significant deals in place with all major telecom players in India such as Reliance Jio, Airtel, IDEA Cellular Network and Vodafone.

    Between the four platforms, there is a potential reach of 686 million subscribers which is almost 60 per cent of India’s total mobile user base of more than a billion. Jio has announced a user base of 52 million users in just a few months following their launch.

    “Our strategy remains to distribute Eros Now, a world class OTT platform, to consumers across telecoms and OEMs with compelling content and product features. We view the recent demonetization move in India as a great opportunity for the OTT business as more consumers are signing up for online and mobile pay systems. I am really excited about the exponential growth in front of Eros Now and am confident we will continue to consolidate our leadership position and first mover advantage,” said Eros Digital CEO Rishika Lulla Singh.

    These deals across 20 different telecom operators and OEMs alone provide visibility to a minimum of 4-5 million subscribers annually to Eros Now at an average annual ARPU of $4-5 in India and average annual ARPU of $35 internationally. Since these deals were agreed at various points in time in FY 2017, Eros Now will see the full year benefit of these deals flowing through in fiscal 2018. Most of these contracts are long term deals averaging five years.

    With a movie library of over 5,000 films and a further library of 5,000 films being added to this list, Eros Now plans to offer the widest repertoire of Indian movie content across any OTT platform in the world.

    In another development, Eros International’s Sanam Teri Kasam was one of the eight chosen films that were screened across 21 cities at the Bollywood Film Festival in Russia. The week-long event flagged off on 30 November.

    The film debuts Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane and is directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. Rane was also invited for the film’s screening and was overwhelmed with the love and appreciation the movie received.

    MUMBAI: Eros International Plc, a leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry, announced today the introduction of watch offline services across all iOS platforms for it premium customers at no additional charge on ErosNow, its digital over-the-top distribution service for Indian language entertainment. The company had recently announced the offline viewing service on Android devices.

    ErosNow’s offline feature option allows users to watch films when they have limited internet connectivity or low bandwidth while using the entertainment service. As part of the Premium subscription service, subscribers can now download movies from ErosNow to their iOS or Android devices for immediate viewing offline for as little as Rs.99 ($1.49) per month in India or $7.99 (or local equivalent) for international subscribers. The users are provided with a choice of quality of formats to accelerate and maintain the storage of downloads.

All features are available to users across the globe accessing the app via any device.
