    MUMBAI: Reliance Animation, one of India’s leading animation studios, has struck a global alliance with Rian, an AI-human multilingual dubbing and localisation platform, in a deal that could reshape the way stories travel across borders.

    The partnership brings together Reliance’s strength in creating original, culturally rooted content and Rian’s cutting-edge language technology. The tie-up promises to take Indian characters—such as Reliance’s popular Little Singham—to overseas markets while bringing international titles into India with linguistic and cultural precision.

    Tejonidhi Bhandare, chief executive of Reliance Animation, said the venture would expand the reach of its “world-class content with an Indian soul”. He added, “ This is a win for creators, a win for audiences, and a bold step for the industry. ”

    The firms frame the alliance as more than a business play. By marrying storytelling with technology, they hope to foster a freer, more authentic flow of content between India and the world, laying the foundations for the next decade of global entertainment exchange.

    Mumbai: This World Animation Day, Warner Bros Discovery’s kids’ entertainment channels—Cartoon Network, Pogo, and Discovery Kids—are highlighting India’s animation industry and the popularity of homegrown animated series, including ‘Chhota Bheem,’ ‘Bandbudh Aur Budbak,’ ‘Little Singham,’ and ‘Fukrey Boyzz.’

    During his 115th Mann Ki Baat address, prime minister Narendra Modi spotlighted Pogo’s ‘Chhota Bheem,’ created by Green Gold Animation. The prime minister stated, “You would remember those days when ‘Chhota Bheem’ began to air on TV.     Seven years of Little Singham: POGO announces new episodes and blockbusters

    Mumbai: Little Singham, a young supercop, will celebrate his seventh birthday on 15 August. Produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez in collaboration with POGO and Reliance Animation, this action-comedy series continues to captivate young viewers nationwide. To mark the occasion, POGO, India’s kids’ entertainment channel, will host a weeklong event featuring new episodes and movies where Little Singham and his team—Hawaldar Karate, Inspector Kavya, and Chiki—use their skills to protect Mirchi Nagar from dangerous villains and supernatural threats.

    As part of the celebration, POGO will release a new birthday song, inviting fans to join in with Little Singham and his gang. New episodes started airing on 11 August, every day at 3:30 pm, with the excitement culminating in a special Big Picture episode, “Little Singham: Narkasur & Kans – Andhera aur Dhwansh,” airing every Sunday at 12:15 pm. In this storyline, Little Singham must confront Narkasur and Kans, who aim to bring chaos and darkness to Singham City.

    Little Singham’s birthday celebration will continue with a Sunday lineup of action-packed movies. Viewers experienced the themes of bravery, friendship, and justice in the 2D movie Tanashah se Takkar on 11 August at 1:15 pm. Additionally, fans can watch the 3D telefeature Naagsingham aur Sarpkaaal ka Vaar on 18 August at 1:15 pm, featuring another adventure.

    MUMBAI: India’s most successful super cop franchise, ‘Singham’ directed by Rohit Shetty is all set to go a notch higher with yet another special offering for audiences. Rohit Shetty Picturez, Reliance Animation & Discovery Kids, will be launching a new animation series called ‘Little Singham’ which is inspired by the Ajay Devgn starring superhit franchise ‘Singham’.  ‘Little Singham,’ an original kid’s content series in India will be aired in 4 languages- English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

    Targeted at kids belonging to the age-group of 4-8 years, the intro line of ‘Little Singham’ is – ‘Police ki wardi, Sher ka Damm, Naam hai mera – Little Singham!’ The animated show will make its debut on television in April 2018 on the completely revamped Discovery Kids channel. This is probably one of the largest deals in the animation industry with the first season to go on air with 156 episodes and 5 tele features. When asked about this collaboration, Rohit Shetty said, “Singham was hugely loved by the kids and a show like this will not only take the franchise ahead but will also become a source of entertainment for the kids and audiences who love Singham so dearly.”

    Reliance Entertainment, Shibasish Sarkar said “Little Singham will set a completely new benchmark for animation in India. With Rohit also mentoring the animated series, we are confident of taking the Singham franchise to newer heights.”

    Discovery India ties-up with Reliance Animation to produce kids IP

    MUMBAI: Discovery Communications India has commissioned Reliance Animation to produce a new disruptive Indian original content series Little Singham, an animation series inspired by the movie Singham. Targeted at kids in the age-group 4-8 years old, Little Singham will make its debut on television in April 2018 on the completely revamped Discovery Kids channel.

    Little Singham will be aired in four languages– English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. This is the biggest investment made by Discovery Communications India till date in the kid’s original content segment in India. The official release, however, did not mention the numbers.

    Discovery Communications India SVP and GM-South Asia Karan Bajaj said, “The scale of investment and the efforts behind Little Singham is symbolic of our intent to be the leader in the kids’ genre in India. The Little Singham IP, undoubtedly our biggest bet till date in the kids’ segment in India, has been shortlisted on the basis of positive feedback in the consumer research. We are confident that along with a world-class animation partner like Reliance Animation we will be able to produce masala faceted series rooted in action, adventure and comedy that will attract the attention of kids in India. In addition, concerted efforts are underway to milk the full business potential of the IP in the most impactful manner.”

    Reliance Entertainment COO Shibasish Sarkar said, “Little Singham will set a completely new benchmark for animation in India.  Reliance Animation, led by COO Tejonidhi Bhandare, has currently engaged as many as 250 animation artists on this project and our expectation is that this number will grow further as we get closer to the launch. We are confident about the commitment and approach of our partners, Discovery Communications, and together we will not leave any stone unturned to make this IP successful.”

    Krishna Aur Kans bags Asifa special jury award for Reliance Animation

    MUMBAI: Reliance Animation‘s Krishna Aur Kans has won the Asifa Special Jury Award in the best animation and special effects film category. The film has been directed by Vikram Veturi.

    Krishna Aur Kans, India‘s first stereoscopic animated feature film has already won rave reviews due to its amazing animation quality and excellent storytelling. The film is also the first true family entertainer among Indian animated feature films.

    The award is indeed well earned for Reliance Animation CEO and the executive producer Ashish SK. Ashish said, “This award belongs to every member of the 1200 artists who have painstakingly worked on the project over the last five and half years and also to the research team who had put together an incredible four years to get every aspect of the content authentic.

    We tried to create a point of reference and also a benchmark for Indian animation, a quality parameter that will give Indian animated content a respectable position in global perspective. We are glad that our efforts have been recognized. This is an extremely prestigious award for us and we hope to continue the good work.”

    Govind Nihalni observed, “Krishna Aur Kans is a very rich film from every perspective. It‘s visually rich, extremely aesthetic, the characters are brilliant, the voice acting is excellent and the language is truly pleasing to the ears. I found the direction of the film to be really inventive. The sequences, scene plotting, thematic execution, visuals were quiet exquisitely directed. Especially the background music supported the film really well.”

    The audio and DVD of the film has already been released across the country.
