  • India Runs on Valour in Red FM and Army’s Shauryaveer 2025 Event

India Runs on Valour in Red FM and Army’s Shauryaveer 2025 Event

MUMBAI: They say courage marches on but this time, it’s running. The Indian Army, in partnership with Red FM, is taking patriotism off the parade ground and onto the streets with Shauryaveer 2025 Run for India, a heart-thumping tribute to bravery, fitness, and national unity. Set to flag off on 26 October 2025, the event marks the 79th Shaurya Diwas, commemorating the indomitable spirit of India’s armed forces. But Shauryaveer isn’t just a run, it’s a stride of solidarity, a living reminder that the nation’s real heartbeat lies in the courage of its soldiers and the people who stand beside them.

The Delhi Cantonment will come alive as citizens run shoulder to shoulder with jawans, each kilometre echoing with pride and purpose. The event features four run categories 21 km, 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km, ensuring that everyone, from seasoned athletes to first-time runners, finds their pace in this patriotic marathon.

More than an endurance event, Shauryaveer 2025 channels the essence of the Fit India Movement, transforming fitness into a shared act of tribute. The route may be measured in kilometres, but the emotion that powers it stretches far beyond.

In a country where soldiers embody selflessness, the initiative bridges the gap between uniformed valour and civilian admiration. For many participants, it’s not about crossing the finish line first, it’s about carrying the spirit of unity every step of the way.

Red FM & Magic FM, director and COO Nisha Narayanan captured the campaign’s soul best: “Shauryaveer 2025 Run for India is a powerful tribute to the Indian Army, where every kilometre is a stride of unity, pride, and remembrance. What makes it truly special is the opportunity for citizens to run alongside our Armed Forces, celebrating the values that bind us as one nation.”

She added, “At Red FM, we feel honoured to be associated with this initiative and to carry its message across the length and breadth of the country. I urge everyone to come forward, take part, and show their support for the Indian Army through this remarkable initiative.”

From morning warm-ups to the sound of sneakers pounding the pavement, Shauryaveer promises a morning where discipline meets celebration. It’s where slogans of “Jai Hind” replace finish-line cheers and medals carry the weight of emotion rather than metal.

And while the run honours the military’s unflinching courage, it also celebrates something larger the spirit of togetherness that fuels India’s everyday heroes. It’s a reminder that fitness, much like freedom, thrives when shared.

Behind the event’s beat is Red FM, India’s largest private radio and entertainment network, known for being “hyper-local, hyper-vocal” with its trademark attitude Bajaate Raho! With over two decades of legacy and 663 award-winning campaigns, Red FM has long championed social causes that resonate with the pulse of the nation.

This partnership with the Indian Army takes that spirit a notch higher turning airwaves into avenues for action. From radio promos to digital buzz, Red FM’s footprint ensures the message of Shauryaveer reaches every corner of the country.

Registrations are open on Red FM’s official website and India Running, inviting citizens across age groups and cities to join this marathon of meaning. Whether you run three kilometres or twenty-one, every step becomes a salute, every breath a pledge.

Because in Shauryaveer 2025, it’s not just about running for fitness, it’s about running for India.

Red FM beats the Pujo drum as Dugga Dugga debuts in Delhi this September

MUMBAI: When the dhol beats meet the Delhi streets, you know Pujo has arrived. 93.5 Red FM, India’s largest private radio and entertainment network, is bringing its much-loved Dugga Dugga – Shakti Roopena Sansthita festival to the capital for the very first time. After three packed-out editions in Kolkata, the fourth chapter of this cultural extravaganza unfolds on 20 September 2025 at Talkatora Stadium.

More than just a gig, Dugga Dugga is a full-bodied Pujo experience where literature, theatre, craft, food, fashion and faith come together in one grand celebration of Shakti. Think soulful ragas, electrifying guitars, graceful dance, and the irresistible aroma of Bengali delicacies all under one roof.

The star-studded line-up reflects Bengal’s creative soul: Dona Ganguly and her troupe will bring classical dance elegance, Iman Chakraborty lends her stirring voice, Anupam Roy Band injects contemporary edge, and Anjan Dutta with The Electric Band ensures an electric finale. The mix promises everything from folk traditions to modern rhythms, making Pujo feel both timeless and fresh.

“Dugga Dugga isn’t just a festival, it’s a living expression of unity, joy and resilience,” said Red FM and Magic FM Director & COO Nisha Narayanan. “With Delhi as our new canvas, we are weaving tradition with modernity where classical ragas meet spoken word and Pujo’s soul is reimagined for everyone.”

R FM’s hyper-local spirit shines through here too. Beyond the music, festivalgoers can expect poetry, crafts, artisanal creations and authentic Bengali cuisine. It’s designed as a multi-sensory journey that mirrors the devotion, artistry and community of Durga Puja, but with a Delhi twist.

With a footprint of 69 stations and over 663 award-winning campaigns to its name, Red FM is no stranger to cultural evangelism. But this edition of Dugga Dugga marks a milestone bridging Kolkata’s Pujo legacy with Delhi’s cultural pulse. • South Side Story hits the right notes as Red FM fest dazzles Delhi crowd

South Side Story hits the right notes as Red FM fest dazzles Delhi crowd

MUMBAI: When Carnatic ragas meet hip-hop beats and an Onam Sadhya feeds thousands, you know Delhi has been treated to more than just a music festival. 93.5 Red FM’s South Side Story returned for its 7th edition at KD Jadhav Wrestling Stadium, drawing over 12,000 attendees for a two-day cultural feast of sound, flavour, and art.

Day one was a blend of heritage and innovation. Carnatic maestro TM Krishna struck a soulful opening chord, followed by Job Kurian’s indie charm and the fresh energy of Aattam & Bhadra Rajin. Padma Bhushan awardee Shobana stole the spotlight with her first-ever North India stage performance, a dazzling fusion of Bharatanatyam and cinematic artistry. The evening closed with Avial’s trademark Carnatic rock anthems that had the crowd chanting for more.

If tradition led the way on day one, day two was about shaking things up. All-women hip-hop collective Wild Wild Women turned up the swagger, Sooraj Santhosh brought his melodic warmth, Thaikkudam Bridge electrified the stage, and the Raghu Dixit Project delivered a high-voltage finale. Beyond the music, audiences tucked into a grand 20-plus dish Onam Sadhya and explored food pop-ups from Mahabelly, Naivedyam, Dakshin Canteen and more. With 60–65 per cent of attendees from southern states and a strong turnout from northern India, the festival lived up to its promise of being a cultural bridge.

“South Side Story is more than just a music festival, it’s a vibrant celebration of art, culture, literature, cuisine, and community,” said Red FM and Magic FM Director & COO Nisha Narayanan. “It was uplifting to see such a diverse audience immersed in the South’s spirit at our 7th edition. At Red FM, we don’t just host events, we curate experiences that inspire, connect and resonate long after the final note.”

With partners ranging from Royal Enfield and Bank of Maharashtra to Oxford Bookstore and Kerala Literature Festival, the event became a pan-cultural showcase. From ragas to rap, sambar to rock, South Side Story once again proved that Delhi can handle the heat and the spice of the South.

  • RED FM & Bengaluru police helm road safety with Ganesha

RED FM & Bengaluru police helm road safety with Ganesha

MUMBAI: Lord Ganesha may have been blessed with a second head, but Bengaluru’s riders won’t be as lucky. That’s the message 93.5 Red FM and the Bengaluru Traffic Police hammered home this Ganesh Chaturthi with their cheeky yet sobering campaign, ‘Second chance nahi milega’.

Running from 18–29 August, the initiative took a mythological twist on road safety, reminding riders that while Ganesha was revived after his beheading, mortals don’t get divine do-overs. The only shield between life and tragedy? A helmet.

And Red FM made sure that message wasn’t just lip service. Rjs hit the city’s busiest junctions such as Indiranagar, Silk Board, MG Road, Rajajinagar, Koramangala, and more, alongside the traffic police, stopping bare-headed bikers in their tracks. Instead of just a fine or lecture, riders got a free, ISI-marked helmet and a much-needed reality check.

The campaign went beyond the roads, too. On-air banter, live bytes, and social media snippets carried commuters’ stories and witty safety reminders to thousands more, weaving road sense into festive celebrations.

“Through ‘Second Chance Nahi Milega’, we transformed festive celebration into civic action,” said Red FM, general manager – Karnataka, Suresh Ganesan. “By linking mythology with modern road safety, we gave people a reason they could never forget.”

Bengaluru’s traffic police were just as upbeat. “A helmet is not for the fear of law, it is for your own safety,” stressed joint commissioner of police, traffic, Karthik Reddy. “We are happy Red FM took up this initiative and gave free helmets to riders.”

  • NDTV hires Aajtak veteran Sameer Anand

NDTV hires Aajtak veteran Sameer Anand

MUMBAI: NDTV has recruited  a senior advertising executive from rival broadcaster TV Today, as India’s news channels scramble for talent in an increasingly competitive market.

Sameer Anand, who spent four and a half years climbing the ranks at TV Today’s Hindi news channel Aajtak, has joined NDTV as assistant vice president. The move comes as broadcasters battle for advertising revenues in a market where every rupee counts.

Anand’s hire is a coup for NDTV Arena, the broadcaster’s sports arm. At Aajtak, he rose from assistant general manager to deputy general manager of ad sales, handling key corporate accounts that included blue-chip clients such as Maruti Suzuki, LG, Samsung and Panasonic during his earlier stint at Red FM.

The executive’s career spans nearly two decades across India’s media landscape, including stints at Zee Entertainment Enterprises and radio broadcaster Red FM, where he cut his teeth managing corporate sales for 13 years.

His appointment signals NDTV’s intent to bolster its commercial operations as Indian news channels face pressure from digital platforms and changing viewer habits. The broadcaster, which has weathered regulatory storms and ownership changes, is keen to strengthen its advertising revenues through experienced hands.

The hire also reflects the musical chairs nature of India’s media industry, where seasoned sales executives command premium salaries as channels vie for market share in a fragmented landscape.
