    Gozoop executes #BurgsMeetUp for food bloggers and Twitter influencers

    MUMBAI: Gozoop, which recently acquired Red Digital and won the social media mandate of the gourmet burger chain, Burgs, carried out a successful bloggers meet for the brand. The bloggers meet was carried out at the Andheri outlet in Mumbai.

     

    Gozoop had invited 30 renowned food bloggers and Twitter influencers to come down at the outlet and make their own burgers. The bloggers were offered a variety of ingredients and sauces to make their own burgers. The primary objective behind the activity was to reach out to a wider audience through these influencers and to give them a one-of-a-kind chance to make their own burgers.

     

    The event was simultaneously promoted across social media too. The twitter campaign was carried out using the hashtag #BurgsMeetUp, where they posted live updates from the meet along with pictures of the delicious burgers they made.

     

    Commenting on the event, Gozoop MD and co-founder Ahmed Naqvi said, “Social media is rapidly growing and becoming an interactive medium across sectors. With Burgs recently entering in India, they wanted to create awareness about their outlets and give the food enthusiasts a firsthand experience of the burger. We received an overwhelming response from the bloggers and influencers who enjoyed participating in the bloggers meet and had a great time making awesome burgers.”

     

    Commenting on the same Burgs India CEO Subroto Mukherjee added, “A bloggers meet is something we are very keen on doing as we receive a lot of feedback on what is trending and what consumers love. This will really help in taking the brand Burgs to the evoked set and thus influence consumer preferences.”

     

    Overall the bloggers made 24 types of burgers and the winner of this blogger meet was @BhookaJanta whose, burger “Bhooka Janta Bomb” will be available at all Burgs outlet this week.

    Gozoop acquires Red Digital, doubles India revenue

    MUMBAI: Indian bred multinational digital agency Gozoop, which recently expanded its global presence by setting up operations in Singapore, has announced the acquisition of Red Digital, one of India’s leading social media agencies. With this business acquisition, clients and employees of Red Digital will be consolidated under the Gozoop brand, thus revitalising the latter’s Indian operations.

    The acquisition is in line with Gozoop’s strategy of increasing the revenue contribution from its Indian operations. Over the past few years, Red Digital has worked for several marquee brands such as Mumbai Indians, Dell, PepsiCo, BMW, Parker Pens, Adidas, PVR, Godrej, Berger Paints, Reliance Foundation, Educomp, Citibank, ICC and Discovery Channel.

    The acquisition of Red Digital will play a pivotal role in Gozoop’s global expansion in terms of operations and client portfolio. With Red Digital’s rich client base and strong presence in five key cities in India, and Gozoop’s international exposure and clientele, the combination will enhance Gozoop’s global presence and cost efficiencies.

    Currently, 65 per cent of Gozoop’s revenue is attributed to its international operations in UAE & Singapore. Post the acquisition and with a total of 65+ retainer clients, Gozoop aims to double its Indian revenue in the next financial year. Gozoop’s domestic operations will now contribute close to 50 per cent of revenues, an increase of 50 per cent from earlier. The acquisition will also increase the employee strength of the company to about 100 members, making Gozoop one of India’s largest digital agencies in terms of employee strength as well.

  • Mumbai Indians gets McCann on creative roster

    MUMBAI: Nita Ambani’s IPL franchise Mumbai Indians has decided to rope in IPG’s McCann Erickson on the creative agency roster.

    WPP’s Ogilvy and Mather was servicing the account.

    A source close to the development revealed that both the agencies will work on different aspects of the campaign. According to the source, O&M will be handling the CSR part of Mumbai Indians’ campaign while McCann will focus on the engagement part.

    It has also been learnt the IPL franchise plans to have more agencies on the roster this year in order to have a more efficient campaign. Red Digital has been the team‘s digital agency for the past two years.

    MUMBAI: Digital agency Red Digital has bagged the social media mandate of online sports celebrity-commerce company Collectabillia.

    Red Digital will maintain and manage the brand’s Facebook page and Twitter handle along with its YouTube channel and Pinterest account, to drive engagement and promote celebrity branded products amongst fans and enthusiasts encouraging them to collect and own sporting and movie memorabilia.

    Red Digital’s focus is to elevate the reach of Collectabillia by implementing their core expertise in enhancing the engagement levels of their Facebook fan base and increasing twitter followers. Through YouTube and Pinterest, Red Digital plans to ensure high amount of visibility for the brand.

    According to the agency, as Collectabillia’s digital partner, its priority is to build high engagement levels with fans and sports enthusiast alike. Red Digital will also educate the untapped market of the enthusiasts by presenting them with opportunities to collect and own personally autographed memorabilia.

    Collectabillia aims to extend the global market of memorabilia to India, allowing the ownership of personalised merchandise. Extending similar themes across social networks, Red Digital will integrate an effective social media plan through various contests, trivia, campaigns and applications. Red Digital also plans to develop social e-commerce through Facebook buying, gifting and rating options.

    Red Digital orchestrates Miranda TweetMob’s second innings

    MUMBAI: Digital agency Red Digital created the second TweetMob on 24 February for Mirinda.

    With the hot Indian summer approaching, PepsiCo has launched a new campaign for its orange soft drink Mirinda. The campaign orbits around the theme ‘Pagalpanti Bhi Zaroori Hai‘ and is based on the thought that drinking Mirinda is an intense and inescapable experience that leaves one breathless.

    The TweetMob started at 3 pm on 24 February with a question asking people what they thought was crazy enough around them to be called ‘PagalPanti‘. The TweetMob lasted till midnight during which time Red Digital created and managed conversation around the hashtag ‘PagalPanti‘. Through the TweetMob, Red Digital helped connect Twitterati and Facebook users who tweeted about the topic with various Mirinda branded hash tags creating a plethora of endorsements for the brand.

    Red Digital chief operating officer Yashraj Vakil said, “We think of TweetMob as a Flash Mob on Twitter where our intention is to take over Twitter and engage Twitterati for a certain duration while plugging-in the brand connect. After the successful execution of the first TweetMob on 14 February it was a challenge for us to out-do ourselves with the benchmarks we set for Mirinda and more importantly prove to ourselves that it was not a one-off success by repeating it in a grander manner. It was great to taste success again and take over Twitter.”

    The activity saw 3,700 tweets in the span of 9 hours for MirindaIndia. Every 50 tweets with ‘PagalPanti‘ helped the brand reach 7,990 people generating close to 0.6 million views. The agency informed in an official communiqué that the brand reach this time was five times of what the first TweetMob generated.

    MUMBAI: Red Digital has bagged the social media mandate of Pepsico’s Mirinda.

    The agency will build and execute social media strategies that will help Mirinda brand reach out to their audience on social media platforms. It will play a key role in creating online buzz about the brand’s new offerings along with launching various campaigns and building engagement across social networks.

    For Mirinda, Red Digital’s immediate mandate on social media is to create an impact for its latest campaign, with which it has launched two new flavours, Mirinda Orange Masala and Mirinda Orange Mango, while continuing with the base Mirinda Orange flavour.

    The launch of new flavours is supported by a 360-degree campaign called the taste twister challenge, supported via radio, outdoor and on-ground activation along with social media. Red Digital will help in bringing the experience of this program me to Facebook and on-ground.

    Red Digital will also exploit new disruptive full sleeve packaging that captures the taste and fun experience of drinking Mirinda through applications on Facebook. These applications use the prominent aspect of the packaging: the emoticons, to bring alive the new flavors. The applications range from allowing fans on the Mirinda India Facebook fan page to enter into an augmented reality world and play with the emoticons to classifying friends in various taste categories. The agency will also be creating an augmented reality iPhone and Android application.

    The campaign will also see Red Digital creating TweetMobs though the duration of this campaign. These will be high impact subjects being Tweeted by Mirinda and re-tweeted by a group of people within a specific time frame.
