    MUMBAI: The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) of India has released its data for top advertisers and brands for the period between 7 November and 13 November 2020.

    The data reflects the top 10 advertisers and brands across genres on India’s television, 2+ Individuals, NCCS. All demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in week 45 of 2020.

    Top Advertisers:

    Hindustan Unilever continued to be the biggest advertiser this week also with 242868 impressions.

    It was followed by Reckitt Benckiser India, which ranked second with 199453 ad generations.

    Godrej Consumer Products bagged the third rank this time with 50019 ad impressions. ITC came in fourth with 39838 ad generations.

    Ponds India and Cadbury India secured fifth and sixth place with 38832 and 37918 ad views.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Wipro, P&G, Colgate Palmolive India Ltd, and Coca Cola India.

    Top Brands:

    This week Dettol Antiseptic Liquid led the chart with 29742 ad impressions, followed by Lizol with 23271 ad views. Dettol Toilet Soaps secured the third position with 22814 ad insertions.

    The fourth and fifth spots were acquired by Santoor Sandal & Turmeric and Harpic Power Plus/Bathroom Cleaner with 18572 and 12071 ad generations.

    Vimal Elaichi Pan Masala bagged the sixth spot with 11878 ad views.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Amazon.in, Harpic Bathroom Cleaner, Sprite,  Harpic Power Plus 10X Max Clean.

    The data reflects the top 10 advertisers and brands across genres on India’s television, 2+ Individuals, NCCS. All demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in the 44 week of 2020.

    Top Advertisers:

    Hindustan Unilever continued to be the biggest advertiser this week also with 295719 impressions.

    It was followed by Reckitt Benckiser India which ranked second with 149331 ad generations.

    Wipro Ltd bagged the third rank this time with 38113 ad impressions. Ponds India came in fourth with 29701 ad generations.

    Godrej Consumer Products Ltd and ITC Ltd secured fifth and sixth place with 29569 and 28529 ad views.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Colgate Palmolive India Ltd, Cadburys India Ltd, Amazon Online India Pvt Ltd and Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd.

    This week Dettol Toilet Soaps led the chart with 20931 ad impressions, followed by Lizol with 19874 ad views. Dettol Antiseptic Liquid secured the third position with 18276 ad insertions.

    The fourth and fifth spots were acquired by Amazon.in and Close Up Ever Fresh with 16786 and 13349 ad generations.

    Lux Toilet Soap bagged the sixth spot with 12930 ad views.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Clinic Plus Shampoo, Santoor Sandal And Turmeric, Boost, Myntra.Com.

    The data reflects the top 10 advertisers and brands across genres on India television, 2+ Individuals, NCCS All demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in the 42 week of 2020.

    Top Advertisers: –

    Hindustan Unilever continued to be the biggest advertiser this week also with 257236 impressions.

    It was followed by Reckitt Benckiser India which ranked second with 151804 ad generations.

    ITC Ltd this time bagged the third rank with 56162 ad impressions. Godrej Consumer came in fourth with 429297 ad generations.

    Amazon Online India and Cadbury India secured fifth and sixth place with 40599 and 35852 ad views.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Ponds India, Wipro, Colgate Palmolive India Ltd and  Procter and Gamble.

    Top Brands:

    This week Amazon.in led the chart with 30390 ad impressions, followed by Dettol Antiseptic Liquid with 22372 ad views. Lizol secured the third position with 18091 ad insertions.

    The fourth and fifth spots were acquired by Dettol Toilets Soaps and Surf Excel easy wash with 17313 and 16746 ad generations.

    Myntra.com bagged the sixth spot with 14833 ad views.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Flipkart.com, Glow & Lovely, Whitehat Jr, and Lux Toilet Soap.

    The data reflects the top 10 advertisers and brands across genres on India television, 2+ Individuals, NCCS All demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in week 41 of 2020. 

    Top Advertisers: –

    Hindustan Unilever continued to be the biggest advertiser this week also with 273549 impressions. It was followed by Reckitt Benckiser India which ranked second with 156461 ad generations.

    ITC Ltd this time bagged the third rank with 58389 ad impressions. In a first, Amazon Online India secured the fourth spot with 55443 ad impressions. Godrej Consumer Products and Cadbury India secured fifth and sixth place with 39623 and 38243 ad impressions respectively.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Flipkart.com, Procter and Gamble, Colgate Palmolive India Ltd and Wipro.

    Top Brands:

    This week Amazon.in leads the chart with 36794 ad impressions, followed by Flipkart.com at the second spot with 32969 ad views.

    Last week’s top ranker Dettol Antiseptic Liquid slid down to the third position with 25456 ad insertions.

    The fourth and fifth spots were acquired by Lizol and Dettol Toilets Soaps with 19381 and 18675 ad insertions respectively.

    Surf Excel easy wash bagged the sixth spot with 16947 ad views.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Glow & Lovely, Whitehat Jr, Myntra.com, Lux Toilet Soap.

    The data reflects the top 10 advertisers and brands across genres on India television, 2+ Individuals, NCCS All demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in week 39 of 2020.

    Top Advertisers: –

    Hindustan Unilever continued to be the biggest advertiser this week also with 305652 ad generations. It was followed by Reckitt Benckiser India with 190365 ad impressions.  

    In a first, Brooke Bond India bagged the third spot with 41342 ad impressions.  ITC Ltd and Godrej Consumer Products placed fourth and fifth on the list with 37714 and 31462 ad impressions respectively.  

    Ponds India secured the sixth spot with 28307 ad insertions.

    Other top advertisers in the pecking order were as follows: Colgate Palmolive India, Cadbury India, Amazon Online India Pvt, and Wipro.

    Top Brands:

    Dettol dominated the top ranks, with the brand’s Antiseptic Liquid taking first with 25565 ad impressions and its Toilets Soaps range securing the second position and got 23692 ad impressions. Direct competitor Lizol had grabbed the sixth position the week before with 12830 ad insertions but this week it has climbed to third position in the list with 17614 ad views.

    The fourth and fifth spots went to Glow & Lovely and Surf Excel easy wash with 14527 and 14189 ad insertions respectively.

    Clinic Plus Shampoo came in sixth with 14136 ad insertions.

    Wheel Active 2 in 1, Dettol Liquid Soap, Colgate Dental Cream, and Kia Sonet rounded out the top 10.

    The data reflects the top 10 advertisers and brands across genres on India television, 2+ Individuals, NCCS All demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in the 29th week of 2020.

    Top advertisers:

    Hindustan Unilever continued to be the biggest advertiser in the month of July. This week it has got 283326 impressions, as compared to 266697 last week. It was followed by Reckitt Benckiser which ranked second with 131750 ad insertions.

    Godrej Consumers Products bagged the third spot with 39611 insertions. ITC Ltd and Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd secured the fourth and fifth place with 39536 and 39433 ad insertions respectively.

    Colgate Palmolive India after many weeks bagged the sixth spot for the first time with 33942 ad insertions.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Procter & Gamble, Cadbury India, Ponds India, and Procter & Gamble home products.

    Surf Excel for the first time in this month became the top brand this week with 19338 ad insertions. Dettol Antiseptic Liquid which bagged the first spot last week, this time came in the second position with 18342 ad insertions. Lux Toilet Soap reached the third spot, like last week, with 15830 ad impressions.  

    The fourth and the fifth spots were acquired by Wheel Active 2 in 1 Dettol Toilet Soaps with 14876 and 14043. The sixth position was grabbed by Dettol Liquid Soaps with 13781 ad generations.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Tease TVS Motor, Colgate Swarna Vedshakti, Horlicks and Fair & Lovely Multivitamin.

    Top advertisers:

    Hindustan Unilever continued to be the biggest advertiser with 266697 insertions, followed by Reckitt Benckiser which ranked second with 123891 ad insertions.

    Godrej Consumers Products bagged the third spot with 47783 insertions. ITC Ltd and Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd secured the fourth and fifth place with 39701 and 37485 ad insertions respectively.

    Procter & Gamble acquired the sixth spot with 37224 ad insertions on TV.

    Dettol Antiseptic Liquid which bagged the second spot last week, became the top brand this week with 20970 ad insertions. The second position was replaced by Policy bazaar with 16435 insertions.

    Lux Toilet Soap which was continuing to lead the list for the last few weeks, this time reached the third spot with 15555 insertions, as compared to last week's 17,523 impressions.

    The fourth and the fifth spot was acquired by Surf Excel and Dettol Toilet Soaps with 13153 and 12806 as insertions respectively.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Dettol Liquid Soaps, Horlicks, Wheel Active 2 in 1Fair & Lovely and WhatsApp.

    The data reflects the top 10 advertisers and brands across genres on India television, 2+ Individuals, NCCS All demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in the 26h week of 2020.

    Top advertisers:

    Hindustan Unilever continued to be the biggest advertiser with 317861 insertions as compared to 292536 insertions in week 25, followed by Reckitt Benckiser which ranked second with 78007 insertions.

    The following spot was acquired by Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd with 47425 insertions.

    Godrej Consumer Products and ITC Limited recorded 45498 and 39209 ad insertions respectively.

    Wipro Ltd acquired the sixth spot with 24700 ad insertions on TV.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Ponds India, Amazon Online, Lakme, and at the last Procter & Gamble.

    Lux Toilet Soaps became the top brand in BARC week 25 rankings as it recorded 24498 insertions on TV. It was followed by Horlicks (16423) and Wheel Active 2 in 1 (13877)

    The fourth and fifth sport was acquired by Amazon. In and Surf Excel Easy Wash with 13768 and 13173 views, respectively.

    Other top brands in the pecking order are as follows: Lifebuoy, Close up, Policy Bazaar, Pears, and Sunsilk.

    In week 26, there was a drop of 4.05 per cent in the total number of insertions for advertisers whereas for brands it was down 6.1 per cent.

    The data reflects the top 10 advertisers and brands across genres on India television, 2+ Individuals, NCCS All demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in the week of 2020.

    Top advertisers:

    Hindustan Lever Ltd and Reckitt Benckiser (India) Ltd picked the top two spots with 292536 and 84987 insertions respectively.

    The following spot was acquired by Godrej Consumer Products Ltd with 67256 insertions.  

    Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd and ITC Ltd recorded 46500 and 41791 ad insertions respectively.

    Procter & Gamble Home products acquired the sixth spot with 36676 ad insertions on TV.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Procter & Gamble, Amazon Online India Pvt Ltd, Cadburys India Ltd, Ponds India.

    RB launches nationwide #DisinfectToProtect awareness campaign

    MUMBAI:  In order to raise awareness on disinfection to help fight germs, RB’s leading disinfectant brand Lizol has launched anationwide awareness campaign #DisinfectToProtect. The campaign focuses on educating people on the need for keeping surfaces clean and disinfected to help break the chain of infection.

    RB Hygiene South Asia senior vice president and managing director Narasimhan Eswar said,“Post our pledge to donate one million litre of Lizol and Harpic to support the frontline workers and healthcare institutions across multiple Indian states, we are now looking to educate our consumers with the right information that will help them break the chain of infection.”

    The campaign will comprise of several short-educational films all shot at home featuring prominent faces of the film industry including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Ganesh Venktataram and Nisha Venktataram, Twinkle Khanna, Ritesh Deshmukh & Genelia D’Souza urging people to stay at home and disinfect frequently used surfaces.

    RB Hygiene South Asia CMO and marketing director Sukhleen Aneja added, “At this point in time, protection and precaution are key to fighting viruses. It has become extremely critical to maintain good hygiene at home by regular hand washing, disinfecting surfaces, maintaining social distancing etc. These are the only way to help break the chain of this deadly infection. With Lizol’s #DisinfectToProtect campaign we would like to raise awareness on the need for disinfecting not just floors but multiple surfaces like tabletops, kitchen counters, door handles etc. We hope that with this campaign we can do our bit in raising awareness and making the world cleaner and healthier.”

    The public service message has been put together by McCann and inculcates necessary steps as has also been suggested by WHO on various platforms such as social distancing, hand washing and home disinfection.
