    Madison Media still holds the digital mandate for Airtel brand and media

    MUMBAI: Contrary to reports that appeared in the media yesterday, Madison Media continues to handle the digital mandate for Airtel brand and media. The agency however does not handle “search marketing” for airtel.in.

     

    Madison Media Group CEO Gautam Kiyawat in a statement says: “Digital is a very important element within Madison Media and our attempt has been to offer clients a holistic media strategy encompassing all media to achieve their brand’s business objectives”.

     

    Madison Media today works with many marquee clients in the digital space including Airtel, Mondelez/Cadbury, Marico, Levis, Budweiser, Asian Paints, BJP, Raymond, Yatra.com, Fiama diWills, and many other clients. The agency has a strong 60 member digital team most of them embedded in large teams that handle the media accounts of large marquee clients.

     

    Madison Media has won several awards in the digital and mobile domain with the latest one being The Festival of Media Global Award and Asia Pacific Award for Parachute Advansed Ayurvedic Hair Oil for convincing consumers to become the brand’s sales force leveraging the power of Mobile. The agency also won a Yahoo Big Idea Chair for its campaign on Airtel, Har ek Friend Zarori Hai.  At the Emvies Awards held last year, Madison Media also won a Gold for Best Innovation in Digital (Video) for Cadbury Celebrations – Lonely Maa.

    Zee News brings ‘Change Maker Awards’

    MUMBAI: One of the leaders of the Hindi news channels Zee News has come up with an initiative to recognise creative talents across the country. ‘Change Maker Awards’ will be held in March 2014 to highlight areas where change is required in various sectors of society such as environment, social issues and civic issues.

     

    Online entries are being invited for print, television, radio, digital and out of home categories from creative talents across India.

     

    An official statement from the company says that the awards have been created to ‘salute and reward such creative ideas that revolve within when it comes to make things better for everyone’.

     

    Speaking on this initiative,Zee Media Corporation Limited (ZMCL) VP-marekting Rohit Kumar said, “Zee News has always read the nerves of its audience and change itself according to demand and environment. Our constant endeavor has been to recognize and facilitate change makers to substantiate a positive India. Change Maker Award is to promote and to provide a platform to such individuals.”

     

    The jury will consist of names such as Creativeland Asia Founder and Creative Chairman Raj Kuru, Havas Worldwide India managing partner and chief creative officer Satbir Singh, Flipkart Sr. VP- Marketing Ravi Vora, Raymond Director – Marketing Mrinmoy Mukherjee, BITM Managing Partner & Chief  Creative Officer Prathap Suthan.

    Raymond selects Madison to handle its Rs 100 crore AOR biz

    MUMBAI: Textile, apparel and fashion retailer Raymond‘s tag line is “the complete man.” And it was looking for the complete media agency to look after its advertising spends. And it found that it in the Sam Balsara-founded Madison Media which will now be its agency of record (AOR), following a multi-agency pitch. Madison, which bills about Rs 3,000 crore on a gross level, will be responsible for the entire media mandate, including digital and out- of-home (OOH), for all Raymond group brands.

    The Raymond AOR including its branded apparel, denim, cosmetics and toiletries, engineering tools and hardware, auto components and prophylactics businesses is estimated to be worth about Rs 100 crore annually.

  • Ogilvy shuffles leadership team in Delhi

    MUMBAI: Ogilvy has made some changes in its creative team at Delhi. Kapil Arora, who was leading the national team managing the Vodafone account, has been appointed as president and head of advertising in Delhi. He will replace Sudhir Sahni and report to Prateek Srivastava.

    Sarang Wahal, senior VP at O&M, will take over Arora‘s earlier role. He has already been working on the Vodafone account for some time now.

    Arora has 13 years of experience and has worked on brands such as Raymond, TVS Scooty, Unilever Tea, the BCCL Group, the Times Group and Titan. He joined Ogilvy in 2004.

    Wahal has worked on brands such as Motorola, Sprite, Kinley, Yahoo, Canon and LG. He began his career in advertising in 1996 with Phoenix Advertising and has worked with Lowe Lintas and Rediffusion-Y&R along the way. He too joined Ogilvy & Mather in 2004.

  • Raymond rolls out ad campaign to ‘celebrate every day’

    Mumbai: The Raymond Shop (TRS), the retail network of Raymond, has launched a new ad campaign titled ‘Celebrate Every Day’.

    The campaign is an extension of the earlier promotion last year of walking in “with an idea” and walking “out with a wardrobe”. The aim is to encourage Raymond customers to treat every day as a special occasion and make their daily dressing ideas come alive with Raymond’s fabrics, apparel and other wardrobe solutions.

    The company has rolled out a 40-sec TVC featuring model Asif Azim.

    The film has been conceptualised by creative agency RK Swamy BBDO along with TRS marketing team. It is directed by Kunal Shivdasani while the production has been handled by Sanjeev Sharma of the production house Optimystix.

    The television campaign will air across various genres of channels including English movies, English and Hindi news.

    Raymond director-marketing and business development- retail Mrinmoy Mukherjee said, “The campaign reminds its audience that celebrations are not restricted to special occasions. While Raymond today partners its customers in all important moments like getting a promotion, meeting friends or just spending memorable moments with loved ones, the call to extend this celebration to everyday living has a very positive ring to it. And of course, the fact that TRS has ‘something for everyday’ is reiterated by this campaign thought.”

    The new campaign highlights The Raymond Store’s offering of a complete wardrobe solution, in addition to specialised services like custom tailoring and made-to-measure and a wide range of accessories.

    The TVC will be supported by an online and outdoor campaign. There will be a contest on Facebook page of the company aimed at increasing the engagement levels with fans.
