    Publicis Groupe India appoints Hari Krishnan as managing director & head of content

    Mumbai: Publicis Groupe India on Thursday announced that it has further strengthened its fast-growing content practice with the appointment of Hari Krishnan as managing director and head of Publicis Content.

    Publicis Content is a strategic ‘horizontal’ practice which can be tapped into by any Publicis Groupe agency brand to deliver custom-created, multi-channel content solutions for brands. Its solutions span across content insight & strategy, social & influencer marketing, media content partnerships, publishing, and innovation in the metaverse and web 3.0.

    Krishnan’s role involves bringing data-driven insight, platform content strategy, creative excellence, and seamless delivery to the rapidly expanding field of branded content. He will lead the Groupe’s expert teams of dedicated content specialists, as well as shape further the Groupe’s creative products, particularly around advice to brands about how to participate in culture.

    He is a seasoned leader with a breadth of experience across creative, media, and integrated agencies, as well as most recently at his own strategic innovation consultancy, CultureDrum, where he collaborated on content innovation territories such as AR and gaming with India’s leading media agencies; co-created ‘Virtual Bharat,’ a culture-content channel; and worked with several start-up businesses on brand strategy and storytelling.

    Prior to CultureDrum, Hari was managing director Zenith India; chief operating officer Cheil Worldwide; country head global team blue at WPP and executive director JWT. He has led large global brands such as PepsiCo, Samsung, Ford, and Nestlé.

    MUMBAI: Leading educational institution, Pearl Academy, has mandated Publicis India to manage its brand and marketing communication efforts. The mandate, which was won via a multi-agency pitch, will be managed by the Delhi office of Publicis India. 

    As its communications partner, Publicis would assist in redefining brand strategy, positioning and related brand guidelines and also in the conceptual development and execution for projects as defined by mediums such as literature, marketing ATL and BTL activities, events, video assets among others. Pearl Academy partners with FDCI and ADI and stages some large scale events in the fashion and design space. Publicis would help in refreshing these.

    NEW DELHI: A new television commercial by Samsung Electronics as a consumer connect initiative to showcase Galaxy Grand, the recently introduced Dual SIM Smartphone in India, aims at the mid-segment by bringing fore fun, style and passion of everyday moments of a user.

    The advertisement is conceptualised and designed by Leo Burnett and aired across Hindi and English entertainment and movie channels starting 16 February.

    Strongly focused on creating a work life balance between personal and professional lives of youngsters, the TVC creates synergy between the consumers and the features of the Galaxy Grand by showcasing aspirations, passions and hobbies of an ambitious and confident individual.

    The TVC has been conceptualised to depict the Galaxy Grand’s innovative Dual SIM feature wherein the professional is able to enjoy personal moments such as biking, moments with friends, mountaineering.

    The TVC begins with a young male professional aspiring to live a Grand life by travelling on bike to see mountains kiss clouds, sky changing colours to every possible shade. He wishes to capture his memories with big screen experience and stay connected with his friends. Next thing you know, he mentions about reserving special place to watch movies. A super appears in the foreground that reads: ‘’Samsung Galaxy Grand”.

    The TVC encourages younger generation to capture personal moments through technology purchase of the right Smartphone in spite of budgetary constraints and highlights top-end hardware and software features with a very attractive price of Galaxy Grand.
