    MUMBAI: Wondered how it is when Hollywood grooves to Bollywood music! The latest episode of Limitless on 20 February at 11 pm on AXN is going to give you a visual delight as the entire cast of Limitless will perform on Dil Bole Hadippa, a 2009 hit Yashraj film starring Rani Mukherji and Shahid Kapoor. Pritamda’s music makes the crew perform on the foot tapping number from the film breaking all stereotypes about Hollywood shows.

    This week’s intriguing episode, publicly exposes a list of FBI undercover agents. Show lead Brian Finch played by actor Jake McDorman develops a personal connection with FBI Agent Lucy Church (Christina Vidal), a tenacious rule-breaker and helps her finish a field case before she’s exposed.

    Viewers are in for a special treat this weekend adding on to this already intriguing plot as the adventures of the undercover agents are interspersed with some lavish Bollywood dance sequences. Brianwill be seengrooving to a foot tapping Bollywood number from Yash Raj Films – Dil Bole Hadippa. Joining him on the floor are his co-stars decked up in colorful Indian edding attire.     ‘Mardaani’ tax-free in MP and UP

    MUMBAI: Rani Mukherji starrer action-drama Mardaani which highlights the problem of child trafficking in the country has been given a tax-free status in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

     

    The Akhilesh Yadav-helmed state government as well as the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government announced they would exempt the film from entertainment tax because of the bold social message conveyed by it.

     

    Talking about the movie the MP Chief Minister tweeted, “Trafficking of young girls and women is worst evil which needs to be eliminated. Mardaani has brought it into focus.”

     

    Praising the movie and Rani for her performance he added, “After a very long time, went along with family to watch a movie. Mardaani turned out to be soul stirring saga highlighting a societal evil. I congratulate Rani Mukherji for a wonderful and powerful performance in Mardaani. Aditya Chopra has done well to produce this movie.”

     

    Honored by the response, Rani and Aditya issued an official statement to the declaration. It said, “Thank you Shri Chouhan Shivraj for your appreciation of Mardaani and its message and deciding to give the film tax free status in MP. Trafficking of girls and women needs to be completely eradicated and we film-makers can only do this much in our limited capacity, but with support from you, others will also hopefully join in to take this cause forward meaningfully.”

     

    The movie, starring Rani as a police officer, released on 22 August is generating impressive critical acclaim. The movie collected approximately Rs 15 crore on its opening weekend.

    ‘Mardaani’: A decent opening at the BO

    MUMBAI: Mardaani, a Rani Mukerji show, her own Dabangg or Singham, gets an indifferent opening response. It improves a little on Saturday and again on Sunday to end its opening weekend with Rs 14.46 crore. Besides routines content, it’s ‘A’ certification also kept younger lot at bay.

     

    Three other films released last Friday have all proved to be irrelevant failing to find audience. They are MAD: Mad About Dance, Life Is Beautiful and Katiyabaaz, though the last mentioned won some critical appreciation.

     

    Singham Returns made the most of its extended weekend which included holidays of Independence Day on Friday and Gokul Ashtami on Monday by putting together Rs 85.3 crore for four days. The slide began Tuesday onwards as the film ended its first week with Rs 110 crore. Despite weak opposition in its second week, the drop was drastic on the eighth day as the film managed to collect a little over Rs 3 crore.

     

    Entertainment has added Rs 11.75 crore in its second week to take its two week total to Rs 61.55 crore.

     

    Kick has collected Rs 2.2 crore in its third week taking its three week tally to Rs 226.1 crore.

    MUMBAI: Bollywood’s King Khan – Shah Rukh Khan – is in Malaysia for his concert ‘Temptation Reloaded’.

     

    Speaking at the ‘Temptation Reloaded’ press conference at the Ritz Carlton last afternoon said, “It’s always a sense of pride for me whenever I come to Malaysia. I often feel that I have never left home in fact. It’s a great feeling to be back to such lovely people once again.”

     

    Said to be the biggest Bollywood concert production, ‘Temptation Reloaded’ offers all the music, love and drama of the Bollywood silver screen together with Shah Rukh Khan’s beautiful leading ladies Madhuri Dixit and Rani Mukherji today at Stadium Merdeka. Apart from the big stars, our very own desi rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh will also be performing along with the team.

    Despite injury, pain and wounds, SRK is all set to rehearse and then perform in Malaysia. Shah Rukh Khan tweeted, “On way to Malaysia for Temptations. Little in pain but between Madhuri rani yo yo arijit and the team we will entertain u well.”

     

    The concert is in conjunction with the ongoing Visit Malaysia Year 2014 celebrations. Shah Rukh Khan also said at the do that it was his “duty” to promote the country as a tourism destination.
