    Here comes the first song ‘Doubtwa’ from Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies!

    Mumbai: The trailer of Jio Studios and Aamir Khan Productions’ ‘Laapataa Ladies‘ directed by Kiran Rao has given a glimpse of its humoristic world that dwells in the rollercoaster ride of the lost brides. This has indeed elevated the excitement to see what the director Kiran Rao has to bring to the table this time. Amid the rising exhilaration for the film, the makers are here with the first song ‘Doubtwa’ leaving the audience gripping their eyes on the bride.

    The first song ‘Doubtwa’ from Laapataa Ladies gives a broader narrative of its laughter-studded story. The song is sung by Sukhwinder Singh, and the music has been composed by Ram Sampath while Divyanidhi Sharma penned the lyrics.

    Amid the hunt for the bride, what comes ahead is the jolly mess. The brides are sharp, and full of doubt. Their intentions are yet not clear but they are truly here to create a big mess. The cops are behind the brides as they are the real matter of doubt. With its immensely interesting tunes, the song gives a perfect essence of the rural India that is the significant backdrop of the film. As the song is out, it’s indeed guaranteed a rollercoaster ride of entertainment on the cards.

    Presented by Jio Studios, ‘Laapataa Ladies‘ is directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande. The film is releasing on March 1st, 2024, and has been made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, with the script based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami. The screenplay and dialogue are written by Sneha Desai, while the additional dialogues have been jotted down by Divyanidhi Sharma.

    MUMBAI: The Indian Recording Arts Academy to be hosted on 3 June alongside PALM Expo 2017, announces that online submissions are currently being accepted for the prestigious Eleventh Annual IRAA Awards. The entry deadline is 15 April, 2017.

    Soundtracks and albums released between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016 are eligible for nominations. The list of categories which include Film as well as Non-film are available on the IRAA website – www.iraa.in

    Audio files accompanying the entries can be submitted to a dropbox link provided on the website.

    Since 2006, the annual IRAA awards, honours and recognises exceptional talent in music, soundtrack recording and mixing in Indian music for albums and movies. The aim of the award is to recognise innovation in music composition and tracks that define independent and popular music culture. The awards honour talent of studios and engineers, while keeping an eye on the skill in adopting new technology, trends and proving expertise in the use of new methods. Gaining aspirational value through the years, the IRAA awards reflects industry’s credibility and has become an eagerly looked forward annual event.

    There are very few award ceremonies that honour the technical expertise behind song and music production with most others restricting themselves to popular categories. The IRAA Awards are the first ever music awards in India that recognizes the regularly forgotten technical fields of music recording and engineering talent in India; it recognizes those who exhibit the courage and creativity to bring about a transformation in the world of music.

    In its previous editions, the Awards have been conferred upon reputed names of the music and recording industry like A. R. Rahman, K J Singh, Aditya Modi, Daman Sood, Avinash Oak, Ram Sampath, Mohit Chauhan, Eric Pillai, Sonu Nigam, Shantanu Hudlikar, Vijay Benegal, Pramod Chandorkar, Baylon Fonseca, Julian Mascarenhas and Shreya Ghoshal among others.

    Percept creates new TVC for XXX Energy drink

    MUMBAI: Percept Pictures‘ Ad Films has created a new television commercial for XXX Energy Drink.

    The XXX (Xperience Xtreme Xcitement) Energy Drink, a JMJ Group product, is high on life and is created for people who dare to venture into the unknown territory. 

    The TVC, launched on 5 November, shall go on air across all mediums subsequently and is being shown in theatres. Percept brought out the Triple X attributes of this extraordinary drink through this 60-second. The ad was shot in Bangkok and features stunt team Baan Rig.

    Said Percept Pictures chief production controller Priti Chawla, “The product lived up to its promise and working on the TVC was indeed extreme excitement. Best locations, casting from the world over and a stunt team like Baan Rig, Thailand topped the experience. We are already thinking of creating sequels to this film.”

    The ad executed by Percept Pictures was created in collaboration with director Marlon Rodrigues, music director Ram Sampath and cinematographer Kaka Tong.
