    Prabha Narasimhan to take over as Colgate-Palmolive CEO

    Mumbai: Household and consumer products company Colgate-Palmolive India has announced the appointment of former HUL executive Prabha Narasimhan as its managing director and chief executive officer, effective from 1 September. Narasimhan takes over from Ram Raghavan, who is set to move to a global role.

    “The nomination and remuneration committee of the Board of Directors approved that effective 16th April, 2022, Ram Raghavan, managing director and CEO of the company has been promoted to president, enterprise oral care, for Colgate Palmolive Company. Raghavan will be based out of the company’s headquarters in New York,” the company said in a filing to the exchanges.

    Narasimhan is armed with over two decades of experience across consumer marketing insights, customer development and marketing roles in multiple geographies and across multiple categories including beauty, personal care, and refreshments.

    In her most recent role, she was associated with HUL as executive director – home care and Unilever South Asia as vice president – home care.

    Colgate-Palmolive Q4 net profit rises 54% to Rs 314 cr

    New Delhi: Riding on higher sales, FMCG major Colgate-Palmolive India reported a 54.1 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 314.6 crore for the quarter ended 31 March. The company had posted a net profit of ₹204.15 crore in the January-March quarter a year ago.

    It’s net sales went up by 20.2 per cent to ₹1,275.01 crores during the quarter under review, as against ₹1,062.35 crore in the year-ago period, the FMCG major said in a regulatory filing.

    Colgate-Palmolive (India), managing director Ram Raghavan said the company continues to witness strong momentum across all categories.

    “Our focused approach to executing our strategic initiatives has been instrumental in our continued abilities to sustain our growth momentum versus year ago as well as on a sequential basis. Our strong discipline on driving efficiencies continue to hold us in good stead as we make strong progress across key financial metrics on the P&L,” said Raghavan, adding that the company continues to amplify its innovation focus.

    The oral hygiene product maker’s recent launches include Colgate Toothpaste for Diabetics, Colgate Vedshakti Spray and Oil Pulling. Other initiatives across its portfolio include the launch of Colgate Magik, the first augmented reality toothbrush that makes brushing fun.

    Colgate-Palmolive (India) appoints Ram Raghavan as MD

    MUMBAI: Colgate-Palmolive( India) Limited has appointed Ram Raghavan as managing director during a decision was taken in a board meeting held on 18 July. The appointment will be effective 1 August.

    “This is to inform you that the Board of Directors of the Company, in their meeting held on July 18, 2019 have appointed Mr. Ram Raghavan (DIN 0008511606} as Managing Director of the Company with effect from August 1, 2019,” the company posted in a fining on Bombay stock exchange (BSE).

    Raghavan has been associated with the organization since 1997 and assumed increasing responsibilities in Customer Development and Marketing. Over the years, he progressed through a series of leadership roles across various divisions and subsidiaries of Colgate-Palmolive.

    Before being elevated to the new position, Raghavan served as Vice President Marketing of Asia Pacific Division of Colgate-Palmolive. Raghavan holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics and an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.
